ANNA BARCLAY - was challenged for the lead racing down the back for the first time before handing up to SUPER CHANGE near the 1300 metres. | |
MAJOR WAYT - broke at the start but soon settled. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Broke at the 1400 metres and then again near the 900 metres. A warning was also placed on the gelding's racing manners. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slightly lame in the left fore. A veterinary clearance is required before resuming. | |
SUPER CHANGE - challenged for the lead racing down the back straight the first time before crossing to the front near the 1300 metres. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted Driver Z Butcher explained that it had been decided to go forward and look for the lead as the filly is one paced however, ANNA BARCLAY had commenced to race keenly while SUPER CHANGE had a tendency to drop the bit when attempting to cross which contributed to the manoeuvre taking some distance to complete. | |
HOT FLUSH - Junior Driver L Whittaker was spoken to advisedly in relation to half carting briefly approaching the 1100 metres. Lay in under pressure near the 50 metres and had to be corrected. | |
