Due to the fall in Race 2 and the subsequent re-running of that race, the remainder of the programme was put back one race with Race 8 re-scheduled to start at 8.24pm.

Trainer K Larsen advised Stewards on 23 November that THATSWHATISAID has shown no ill-effects from its incident at Wyndham last week and has worked pleasingly in preparation for its assignment at Ascot Park this Friday.
Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 23 November that THE HEART RULZ was feeling the effects of a virus when racing at Wyndham on 19 November and has been sent for a brief spell in consequence.

GOTTA GOOD LOOKER - Held up on the final bend. Hung outwards near the 250 metres placing CHAMPAGNE BROMAC in restricted room.
CHAMPAGNE BROMAC - weakened on the final bend after racing three-wide without cover from the 1200 metres. Placed in restricted room near the 250 metres.
EVER READY - driver K Barclay admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that she used her whip in an excessive manner over the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of Mrs Barclay's horsewoman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 31 December 2017 (5 days).
KENNINGTON GIRL - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start, losing ground. Hung inwards racing into the first bend and struck pylons, before breaking and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
MOTU BELLE DU JOUR - over-raced in the middle stages. Weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange explained the mare had choked down during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - Trainer M Saunders reported that the filly would be racing in season. Improved wide on the final bend before weakening near the 300 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Dunn explained that the filly had raced lethargically throughout and may not have backed up from its most recent start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be possibly showing signs of tying up with follow up blood tests recommended. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Saunders in the coming days.
HANS IDEAL - Held up on the final bend.
CHINOOK WINDS - hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of HANS IDEAL. Held up on the final bend.
Trainer M Saunders advised Stewards on 30 November that blood tests taken from BETSTARS BLUE JEAN following its disappointing performance at Ascot Park on 24 November showed that the filly was mildly tied up. Mr Saunders added that in his opinion she did not back up from her previous run and will now have a brief freshen up for Xmas racing.

ROMAN REBEL - broke late in the score-up and checked MATAI WILL resulting in a false start being declared. Driver B Orange elected to maintain his allotted position for the restart however sought permission from the Stewards to remove the inside rein pricker. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Weakened from the 600 metres.
KANSAS CITY JIM - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. Driver A Suddaby reported the gelding to have been striking the sulky discs.
JENNYS ROSE - paced roughly entering the first bend before falling resulting in the trailing ARDTOO (C Ferguson) and T C BUSINESS (D Dunn) being severely checked with the respective drivers being dislodged from their sulkies. Stewards stopped the race acting under Rule 211A (1). Driver S Walkinshaw was examined by St John Ambulance Paramedics and transported to Invercargill Hospital for observation. JENNYS ROSE underwent a veterinary examination which revealed the filly to have suffered multiple abrasions requiring treatment and subsequently was scratched from the re-run of the event. Trainer W Adams was advised the mare was stood down pending 2 satisfactory trials prior to racing next and furthermore that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to resuming. Mr Adams advised he would be reassessing the racing future of JENNYS ROSE.
ARDTOO - Severely hampered by fallen horse entering first bend dislodging driver Driver C Ferguson. Mr Ferguson was examined by St John Ambulance Paramedics and cleared to fulfill his remaining driving engagements today. ARDTOO underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a small laceration to the right-hind cannon bone and subsequently was scratched from the re-run of the event.
T C BUSINESS - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start after rearing and getting its front legs over the outside fence. Severely hampered by fallen horse entering first bend dislodging driver D Dunn. Mr Dunn was examined by St John Ambulance Paramedics and cleared to fulfill his remaining driving engagements today. T C BUSINESS underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start of the re-run and was cleared to start.
HARRYDAHORSE - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding.
FREEHOLD - broke near the 300 metres. Driver G Smith advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.

EL DINERO - weakened near the 500 metres.
ANOTHER WINDERMERE - weakened from the 1000 metres and was retired from the event near the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate and a slow recovery, with the Veterinarian recommending blood tests be taken. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
JETENARA - raced wide through the early stages before reaching the parked position with 1500 metres to run.
RAHURI BADLANDS - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the final straight.
PEGASUS MERRILY - held up behind a tiring runner approaching the final bend.
MANDOLIN - broke passing the 800 metres losing its chance.

CANARDLY REMEMBER - placed in restricted room to the inside of MCKENZIE MARA entering the first bend. Stewards questioned driver R May regarding his decision to maintain the lead throughout the early and middle stages despite receiving considerable pressure from an outside runner. After considering Mr May's explanation Stewards took the matter no further.
MCKENZIE MARA - challenged for the lead for a considerable distance in the early and middle stages before weakening from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver B Williamson and trainer N Williamson regarding the tactics implemented in the early and middle stages. After considering their explanations, Stewards adjourned the matter to make further inquiries.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
SWAP OVER - raced wide in the early stages. Had to be steadied near the 100 metres when placed in restricted room.
AMERICAN MAGIC - broke near the 1400 metres.
MARTIN MCGUINNESS - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Shifted inwards near the 100 metres hampering SWAP OVER. Driver S Ottley was warned to exercise care when shifting ground.
GUNSLINGER BROMAC - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
Driver B Williamson defended a breach of Rule 869 (3)(g) alleging that he drove MCKENZIE MARA in a manner capable of diminishing his chances of winning by challenging for the lead for a considerable distance in the early stages. After hearing evidence from Stewards, trainer Mr N Williamson and Mr B Williamson, the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a suspension of Mr Williamson's Horseman Licence from the conclusion of racing on 9 December up to and including 27 December 2017 (7 days) and in addition a fine of $400.

LUNDQVIST - when spoken to regarding the apparent lack of vigour he displayed in the home straight driver B Williamson reported the gelding had felt uncomfortable in its action and he was reluctant to place it under any significant pressure as it had broken frequently in recent starts.
EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again with 700 metres to run.
BELMONT INVASION - broke passing the 450 metres losing its chance.
GRACE O'MALLEY - broke passing the 1750 metres.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - slow to begin. Driver D Shirley was warned to ensure she starts from wider on the track when drawn Unruly.
SNOOP DOG - broke near the 1100 metres losing its chance.

TIZIANO - over raced in the middle stages. Driver T Williams reported he dropped his whip passing the 200 metres.
HURRICANE BANNER - held up early in the run home.
ANSETT FLIGHT - raced wide in the early stages. Held up early in the run home.
IDEAL CONQUEST - over-raced in the early stages.
BETTOR B READY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.

RAKAROVER - steadied racing into the first bend when crowded by SHEZACULLENGIRL which was racing to its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SHEZACULLENGIRL - Driver G Smith was spoken to and advised to exercise care when shifting ground approaching the first bend.
DELISHKA - over-raced for a distance passing the 1400 metres when being restrained.
 
Race 8WOODLANDS STUD 'CELEBRATING 25 YEARS' PACEVideo  Video 
BETTOR ROCK AGAIN - began awkwardly. Hampered by the breaking PARTICULAR rounding the first bend.
PARTICULAR - tangled away. Broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 400 metres and paced roughly over the concluding stages. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse in the coming days.
CARLO GAMBINO - broke at the start losing ground.
HANDSOME MAC - hampered by the breaking PARTICULAR rounding the first bend. Crowded on the final bend and paced roughly for a short distance.
EASTON KARERE - hung outwards leaving the final bend crowding an outside runner.
THATSWHATISAID - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Broke at the start. Hung inwards in the final straight.
LADY'S LASS - hampered at the start.
Trainer C Faithful advised Stewards on 30 November that PARTICULAR has recovered well following its performance at Ascot Park on 24 November and will have a brief freshen up before continuing with its current campaign.
