Race 6 - CHRISTMAS AT FORBURY PARK 8TH DECEMBER MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer G Knight informed Stewards on 12 November that blood tests taken from SILVER DALE following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last week revealed that the gelding was suffering from the early effects of a virus with this being treated. Mr Knight further advised that SILVER DALE would be returning to trials before resuming.

Race 8 - WYNDHAM WORKOUTS COMMITTEE MOBILE PACE
Driver B Williamson defended a charge issued under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 700 metres when allowing BETTOR OPTION to shift inwards checking HARRYDAHORSE which paced roughly and lost ground. After viewing replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA dismissed the charge.

Caretaker trainer C Ferguson advised Stewards on 16 November that BELMONT'S GREATEST has been treated for a virus since last racing at Wyndham on 12 November and is being given a brief freshen up before resuming.

Trainer J Adams advised Stewards on 14 November that blood tests taken from ARGYLE BEACH following its disappointing performance at Wyndham on 12 November have revealed muscle tie-up with this currently being treated.

SKY TOWER - hung inwards leaving the final bend. Driver M Williamson reported he was unable to apply any significant pressure on the gelding in the home straight due to the horse trotting roughly.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - trotted roughly and broke near the 600 metres.
MAKE MY DAY - broke after 150 metres. Weakened final bend.
OUR GRACIE - trainer/driver P Williamson reported that the filly had hung throughout the race.
CRUSHER COLLINS - stood on the mark losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - broke shortly after the start. Trotted roughly on the final bend.
SNOOP DOG - stood on the mark losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MISS MOPPET - hung inwards leaving the final bend. Stewards questioned driver M Purvis regarding his apparent lack of vigor in the early stages of the home straight. Mr Purvis explained that his horse had trotted roughly leaving the final bend at a recent workout and for this reason he felt it was in his best interest to balance the filly before applying pressure. Mr Purvis added that only one earplug had activated at his first attempt and was required to make a second effort to active this gear. After hearing from Mr Purvis, Stewards deemed no further action was required.

AKRIS - hung outwards entering the first bend and paced roughly.

EAGLE GALLEON - raced wide in the early stages. Trotted roughly near the 1300 metres then again in the home straight.
EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - broke at the start.
LAURA BUSH - broke after 150 metres. Weakened on the final bend.
GRACE O'MALLEY - raced wide in the early stages until near the 1500 metres when improving to a leading position.
PRINCE GEORGE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - broke shortly after the start and failed to settle, being retired from the event. Driver R Holmes reported the saddle broke on the mare whilst in a gallop.
CASTLETON TUI - trotted roughly on the final bend before breaking near the 350 metres.

MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - raced wide in the early stages. Raced four wide on the final bend.
GRACE BURNS - held up for clear running in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
MR HANDLEMAN - checked near the 500 metres and had to be restrained.
MISTY MEMORY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C Faithful. Raced wide in the early stages. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
FIRST SON - raced four wide on the final bend. Lay inwards under pressure passing the 150 metres.
HIGHLAND GIRL - raced four wide on the final bend.
BIG SMOKE - hung inwards during the score up and throughout the event placing driver A Beck in some difficulty. Shifted inwards near the 500 metres checking an inside runner. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

JANUARY JONES - weakened on the final bend.
DETROIT LILY - hung inwards and struck several track markers near the 250 metres.
RNR WINDERMERE - raced wide in the early stages.
RAKSBET - hung inwards and broke after 100 metres hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. Raced wide and without cover from the 1000 metres.
GALLEONS PLEASURE - hampered shortly after the start. Held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
EXCELLENT - held up on the final bend.
RAZCAL ALLEY - raced wide in the early stages.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - held up for clear running in the early and middle stages of the home straight. Steadied near the 100 metres when becoming awkwardly placed near the sulky of RNR WINDERMERE.
EVER READY - out of position at the start. Driver K Barclay was cautioned to ensure she maintains her barrier position until reaching the start point. Paced roughly and broke near the 300 metres.
JENNYS ROSE - paced roughly and broke near the 1200 metres losing its chance.
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - held up in the early stages of the home straight.

JABALI - held up leaving the final bend, then again over the concluding stages.
BETTOR ENFORCE - driver A Beck admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner over the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
TUHERBS TWO - raced wide in the early stages.
SOUTHBOUND TRAIN - out of position at the start. Driver R Swain was cautioned to ensure he maintains his barrier position until reaching the start point.
BOLD RULER - declared a late scratching at 9:00am acting on veterinary advice.
EL CAPITAN - weakened on the final bend.
QUEEN OF GLORY - held up for clear running in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
SHARE THE ROAD - hung inwards during the score up and as a result was back several lengths at dispatch. Hung inwards in the early and middle stages. Shifted to a four-wide position near the 1600 metres prior to being improved forward to the lead. Lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 8EMPIRE STALLIONS SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES MARES MOBILEVideo  Video 
LORRETTA FRANCO - sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 700 metres.
FERN LEA - raced fiercely near the 700 metres and when being shifted outwards into clear running, struck the sulky wheel of LORRETTA FRANCO which punctured in consequence.
LEAH MAC - trainer W McEwan was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 after presenting the mare to race with the incorrect number.
MILLWOOD DAISY - when questioned regarding the performance driver A Suddaby advised that the mare had felt flat throughout and proved disappointing. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
DELIGHT MY SOUL - held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Stewards questioned junior horseman M Purvis (with the assistance of N Williamson) as to the reasons he elected not to shift the mare inwards to utilise the passing lane when an opportunity existed near the 200 metres. Mr Purvis explained that he had anticipated ERIN JACCKA would shift down the track as it had done so at its previous start, however when this did not eventuate the trailing MIGHTY EMPIRE had improved quickly and established itself to his inside resulting in him becoming held up for a short distance. Although Stewards accepted Mr Purvis' explanation, he was advised that in future he must not drive in a manner that would leave himself open to query.
MIGHTY EMPIRE - held up rounding the final bend.
BETTA GO FERNCO - raced wide until near the 900 metres when improving to the parked position.
 
Race 9HUNTER FAMILY HANDICAP PACEVideo  Video 
ACOLYTE - held up on the final bend.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - over-raced for a distance passing the 1400 metres when unsuccessfully being restrained to obtain cover.
SIX DIAMONDS - broke at the start. Over-raced near the 700 metres and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed near the sulky of STEIGER. Held up when trailing a weakening runner near the 300 metres.
ROBS IDEAL - broke at the start.
GOTTA DEL - when questioned regarding the tactics he adopted in the middle stages driver M Williamson explained that he had the intention to improve to a leading position however the gelding had raced lethargically when improving past BEVAN'S CULLEN and despite his urgings was unable to cross to the marker line. Stewards noted Mr Williamson's comments.
 
Race 10MLT / THREE RIVERS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
THE HEART RULZ - raced inside pylons for a short distance near the 250 metres. Driver N Williamson was cautioned to ensure his sulky does not protrude inside track markers in future. When spoken to regarding the performance driver N Williamson advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up the recovery of THE HEART RULZ with trainer B Gray in the coming days.
DISMARA - locked wheels with MAJOR MCRAE near the 1700 metres for a short distance before breaking when attempting to alleviate the pressure between both sulkies.
THE ARBITRATOR - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - lay outwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
FLEUR GALLEON - held up for clear running rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
MAJOR MCRAE - hung outwards near the 1700 metres and locked wheels with DISMARA for a short distance. Held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
MATAI WILL - hung inwards through the early stages.
RAFFY ROO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke near the 900 metres and again near the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BUSTER BROWN - raced wide in the early stages. Checked and fell near the 1650 metres. Stewards questioned drivers R Swain (DISMARA), M Hurrell (BUSTER BROWN), A Milne (MATAI WILL) and M Anderson (MAJOR MCRAE) regarding this incident. It was established that MAJOR MCRAE had hung outwards locking sulky wheels with DISMARA which broke in consequence resulting in trailing runners being checked. A warning placed against the racing record of MAJOR MCRAE. A post-race veterinary examination revealed multiple superficial lacerations to the left foreleg. A veterinary clearance is required prior to BUSTER BROWN racing next.
THATSWHATISAID - severely checked when unable to avoid a fallen runner near the 1650 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial abrasions to the left-fore knee. Stewards will follow up the recovery of THATSWHATISAID with trainer K Larsen in the coming days.
