Race 1JJ OTAGO/THOMPSON CONTRACTING TROTVideo  Video 
OUR GRACIE - made the first bend awkwardly. Held up near the 250 metres having to be restrained when awkwardly positioned behind CUDDLY TROUBLE prior to being angled inwards to obtain clear running.
ALPINE SUN - broke at the start.
PEGASUS HANOVER - broke negotiating the first bend. Broke again nearing the 450 metres. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the gelding.
HEEZ BELMONT - trotted roughly throughout. Trainer/Driver B Williamson advised that due to the geldings tendency to trot roughly he did not activate the removable deafeners.
PARADISE SPUR - trotted roughly nearing the 600 metres. Held up briefly near the 300 metres. Broke near the 150 metres. Driver D Dunn advised that the mare had trotted roughly on a number of occasions during the running and had been inclined to lug outwards in the straights throughout.
SUCH FUN - broke at the start. Authorisation of dividends were withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
CRUSHER COLLINS - hung inwards and locked wheels with CUDDLY TROUBLE for a distance near the 300 metres before breaking near the 200 metres when being restrained in an attempt to unlock sulky wheels.
CUDDLY TROUBLE - locked wheels with CRUSHER COLLINS for a distance passing the 300 metres.

TICKS BABE - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend.

GORILLA PLAYBOY - broke at the start inconveniencing a trailing runner.
LAUGH AND CRY - broke passing the 400 metres.
COCKTAIL WAITER - raced inside track markers exiting the final bend. Driver B Williamson was cautioned to ensure his sulky does not protrude inside track markers in future.
SCARLETT LANE - weakened from the 450 metres.
ROCKNPOP - broke near the 250 metres.
BONO HEST - inconvenienced at the start having to be restrained. Hung inwards near the 1800 metres contacting several track markers. Weakened from the 700 metres.
VENETO - slow to leave the pre-race formation and when being urged during the score up, broke losing considerable ground.
MR MAJESTIC - trotted roughly near the 800 metres losing ground. Driver J Cox reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the release cord breaking.
TROY CASTLETON - raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover.

SPICY GIRL BECQUI - lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
MOCKINGJAY - over-raced during the score up.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - paced roughly when obliged to race wide in the early before breaking near the 1650 metres.

PRETORIUS - weakened from the 600 metres.
LAUGH AND CRY - declared a late scratching after starting previously on today's programme.
DREAM BIG - broke shortly after the start and was retired from the event.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - weakened from the 500 metres.
TROUBLE GIERO - held up for a distance passing the 600 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
DARK HORSE - trainer/driver N Williamson reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.

SHE'S A FLYIN - weakened from the 400 metres after racing in the parked position.
BRIDESDALE ROBYN - raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards throughout the home straight.
MIGHTY EMPIRE - locked wheels with another runner near the 350 metres when being eased wider on the track.
LEIGH MAJOR - locked wheels with another runner near the 350 metres losing momentum.
BONTZ - driver K Barclay was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 pursuant to Rule 867 when driving with her foot out of the sulky footrest shortly after entering the home straight.
ALLONBLACK - hung inwards when placed under pressure near the 500 metres then commenced to weaken. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.

ROCKI WARRIOR - paced roughly shortly after the start and slipped a bellboot.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - broke at the start.
THE MANIPULATOR - broke at the start. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange expressed his disappointment with the gelding's effort however could offer no tangible explanation. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities
CLASINA MARIA - broke at the start.
EAMON MAGUIRE - obliged to race three wide without cover from the 1000 metres before weakening noticeably over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Dunn explained that after racing wide from the 1000 metres the gelding had failed to quicken when asked for an effort and proved disappointing. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery with Trainer G Anderson in the coming days.
 
Race 8BILL FITZGERALD CONTRACTING/YOUNG FAMILY MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
ANNIE FITZ - broke in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of this mare. Held through the early and middle stages of the home straight with driver C Purvis advising she was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners due to this.
PEGASUS KOMMANDER - raced wide in the early stages until near the 1600 metres.
ELLNBAC - held up rounding the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the home straight.
MICKEY JAY - raced wide from the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
THE PERSUADER - raced four wide briefly passing the 1000 metres. Paced roughly when being eased wider rounding the final bend.
GOT A BEAUTY - inclined to lay inwards when being improved three-wide to take up the parked position nearing the 1000 metres.
ROSTRIEVER VICTORY - held up for racing room rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.

FIERY FERRET - raced wide in the early stages. Steadied approaching the 800 metres when awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of another runner.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - out of position at dispatch. Driver B Orange was cautioned to ensure he maintains his position until the start point in future. Improved three wide without cover in the middle stages and weakened from 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange explained the gelding raced lethargically upon reaching the parked position near the 800 metres. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Trainer D Simpson reported that in his opinion the gelding had been unsuited by working hard in the middle stages and advised it would be the intention to have BEVAN'S CULLEN driven for one run in future where circumstances permit.
BETTOR ENFORCE - raced wide from the 700 metres. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver A Beck advised he was not overly disappointed with the mare's effort over the concluding stages after having to work hard through the middle stages, being of the opinion it would derive benefit from the run.
