KATE JACKSON - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
P TOMADO - Amateur driver F Phelan admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner inside the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300. Mr Phelan also admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) in that he allowed his sulky to protrude inside the marker line on the final bend. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
STAND SURE - over raced middle stages. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
M T POCKETS - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed swelling to a hind leg consistent with the horse striking itself when in a break. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Stewards questioned Amateur driver S Wigg regarding the manner she drove from the 800 metres when electing to shift ground outwards from the 1x1 position to race three wide without cover. After considering her explanation, Miss Wigg was issued a charge under Rule 868(2) in that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to win or obtain the best possible finishing place. This matter was adjourned sine die.
FLASH BOY - broke passing the 200 metres.

FIRST CLASS LADY - broke racing into the first bend when in the lead recovering to race five back on the markers. A final warning was placed on the racing record of this filly. Raced greenly near the 1600 metres and had to be steadied.
GOTTA MOMENT - over raced middle stages.
HELIX - paced roughly at the start and shifted outwards coming together with AUTHENTIC for a short distance.
AUTHENTIC - came together with HELIX at the start for a short distance. Broke near the 800 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of this gelding.
THE THUG - Trainer B Purdon was issued with a colour fee of $25.

BUBBLES O'LEARY - hung inwards in the early stages of the home straight.

IDEALISTIC - held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.

BRYLIN TROUBLE - broke after 100 metres and again passing the 1400 metres losing all chance.
MAJESTIC STRIDE - trotted roughly in the home straight.
AMY'S INVASION - trotted roughly final bend and had to be steadied.
ITSNOWORNEVER - broke near the 300 metres.
DONNA MAY - hampered by the breaking ITSNOWORNEVER final bend.

MCLEOD'S DAUGHTER - momentarily hampered by SPIRIT OF LOVE in the middle stages of the home straight. Driver S Lawson advised that for this reason he did not activate the removable deafeners.
RAINBOW WIRI - paced roughly as the start was effected. Momentarily placed in restricted room and broke when being steadied. A final warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.
KNIGHTS DESIRE - momentarily placed in restricted room shortly after the start and was inclined to lay in. Raced wide without cover throughout. Weakened final bend.
SPRITZ - raced wide throughout. Weakened final bend.
INKY KING - weakened final bend.
SPIRIT OF LOVE - paced roughly early stages momentarily placing inside runners in restricted room. Hung inwards in the home straight.
BEJEWELLED - held up over the early and later stages of the run home.

MADAM SPUR - Co-Trainers J & J Dickie were issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $50 for being late to notify that the mare would be racing with a blind on.

AURORA BROMAC - paced roughly near the 900 metres. Hampered final bend.
COUNT LANDECK - raced wide in the early stages before improving to the parked position near the 1500 metres. Paced roughly near the 400 metres.
IDEAL ROMAN - hung inwards final bend crowding DROVER'S EYRE which had to be steadied.
HUDY HAXWELL - locked wheels with NO WAY ELSE near the 800 metres for a short distance.
NO WAY ELSE - locked wheels with HUDY HAXWELL near the 800 metres for a short distance. Failed to gain clear racing room throughout the run home.
DROVER'S EYRE - raced three wide without cover near the 600 metres. Weakened final bend and crowded shortly after. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
IMAJOLLYWALLY - hampered final bend when avoiding the tiring DROVER'S EYRE.

MAKERS MARK - locked wheels with LAMBROS at the 200 metres.
