| SKY TOWER - began awkwardly. Half carted for a distance passing the 1800 metres. Driver B Wallace was spoken to advisely for the manner he drove at this stage. Switched into a pace near the 1100 metres and had to be checked prior to being returned to its correct gait. Trainer B Wallace advised that he would be altering the shoeing in an attempt to rectify the gelding's tendency to switch into a pace. | |

When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox was unable to offer any tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. | |
| BRIDESDALE ROBYN - lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. Driver C Ferguson reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners. | |

| DANIELLE AMORE - raced wide through the middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised that being caught wide through the middle stages had told on the mare when placed under pressure over the concluding stages. | |

| SCARLETT LANE - held up briefly near the 250 metres prior to being angled inwards to obtain clear running. | |

| MAJOR MCRAE - raced greenly on several occasions during the running. | |
| DODGETHEBULLET - weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to detect any obvious abnormalities. The connections advised the gelding would now be sent for a spell. | |
| WOKALUP - paced roughly in the early stages. Held up for a distance passing the 500 metres when trailing a weakening runner. | |
| SHINGLESTAR - weakened from the 400 metres. Trainer A Shaw advised that he would be altering the mare's training regime prior to racing next. | |
| DISMARA - raced wide in the early and middle stages until reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres. | |
| THATSWHATISAID - held up for a distance passing the 500 metres. Raced in restricted room near the 300 metres when attempting a marginal run to the inside of DISMARA (R Swain) becoming awkwardly positioned near that runner's sulky wheel, consequentially striking several pylons and breaking. After viewing video coverage and hearing from drivers K Larsen and R Swain it was established that when THATSWHATISAID had shifted inwards into a marginal run along the marker line, MAJOR MCRAE had shifted inwards and raced greenly. Accordingly Stewards deemed no further action was warranted. | |

Paced roughly when being steadied near the 500 metres. Driver C Ferguson reported he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running. | |
| CULLENS AVENUE - driver M Shirley was advised to exercise greater care when shifting outwards near the 800 metres. Paced roughly when striking the sulky wheel of GOT A BEAUTY (M Hurrell) which shifted inwards near the 500 metres, with the trailing ROCKING ROBYN and DON'T PASS I'M FAST having to be steadied in consequence. Lay inwards entering the home straight and despite the efforts of driver M Shirley, locked sulky stays with GOT A BEAUTY for a short distance. | |

Authorisation of dividends were withheld to allow the Stewards and driver M Hurrell the opportunity to view the footage of the home straight after which Mr Hurrell was satisfied his chances had not been affected. | |

Trainer N Williamson was advised that a veterinary clearance is required prior to STATHAM racing next. | |
