Again broke in the score-up losing considerable ground. This horse was stood down from mobile start races until it could trial to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards on one occasion. | |

| There was a delay to start of this race when PEGASUS DREAM required the attention of the farrier. There was a further delay when the dust sheet on HABIBTI IVY had to be removed after it became damaged. | |

| AMARETTO SUN - improved three wide from the 1300 metres to race in the parked position, weakened considerably over the concluding stages. Driver S Tomlinson was disappointed with the gelding's performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. | BLACK RAINE - weakened concluding stages after receiving an economical run. When questioned regarding the mare's performance, trainer C Dalgety advised that he was disappointed with the mare's efforts over the final stages and he will be reconsidering her racing future. | |
| IODEAN - was awkwardly placed to the sulky of SHE'S A FLYIN shortly after the start when there was an easing of the pace. Hung inwards and paced roughly when improving to the parked position nearing the 800 metres. | |
