FRANCO CALIPH - was held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - driver T Woodward will be spoken to in the coming days in regards to manner in which he drove near the 800 metres.
ZAKSPATROL - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Restrained in the early stages but was unable to take position closer to the pylons and so was allowed to improve forwards to reach the parked position. Tired over the concluding stages.
LIVING LEGEND - broke for a short distance near the 1600 metres. Awkwardly placed close to the sulky of AS KIWI AS when looking for racing room. Amateur driver M Stratford advised that the sliding blinds weren't activated due to the cord breaking.
ROYAL JESTER - inconvenienced near the 1600 metres by a breaking runner. Amateur driver A Edge was cautioned to ensure he maintains as straight a course as possible in the run home.
PAY ME DIRECT - broke near the 800 metres when in restricted room to the inside of BEAUDIENE GAMBLER. Paced roughly again near the 500 metres. Amateur driver N Munro advised that the gelding failed to handle the grass track.
HIGHLAND REIGN - driver C Negus was issued with a warning for allowing her runner to shift outwards in the early stages of the run home.

MY EYRE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SAGE TROUBLE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SOUTHERN ALPS - driver R Holmes admitted using his whip in an excessive manner over the final stages with the JCA imposing a fine of $300.
GIRLZ N BOYZ - checked and broke at the start.
MONARCO - began awkwardly checking GIRLZ N BOYZ with a warning placed on the gelding's barrier record.
ZONED SCARLETT - held up in the early stages of the run home.
SUNNY GLENIS - broke near the 300 metres.
THE GREAT REDEEMER - inconvenienced at the start and broke for a short distance. Raced roughly throughout the final straight.

SKIPPERLAND - broke behind the mobile and was unable to be restrained causing a false start. Driver R Holmes elected to stay in his allocated position. Again broke in the score-up losing considerable ground. This horse was stood down from mobile start races until it could trial to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards on one occasion.
THE RED BARON - when questioned regarding the performance of the gelding driver B Orange expressed disappointment. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
KYLIE ANN - driver R Close admitted using his whip in an excessive manner over the final stages with the JCA suspending his Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today, up to and including the 12th October (3 days).
DOWNTOWN TRAIN - driver H Hunter was issued with a warning for arriving late to the start area. Raced roughly for some distance in the score-up.
DIAMOND SUPREME - held up in the early stages of the run home.
CAPITAL GIRL - held up in the early stages of the run home.
FRANCO GARCIA - driver C Thornley advised that the near hind hopple broke in the straight.
DOUBLESIXBEACH - raced wide through the early stages. Received cover nearing the 900 metres, failed to run on over the concluding stages. Driver D Dunn advised the gelding had not appreciated having to work hard through the middle stages and failed to handle today's track conditions..

I'M SICK OF EXCUSES - held up early stages of the run home.
BOOMER - broke briefly at the start. Weakened considerably over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance driver B Butt advised that the gelding travelled well throughout but was unable to quicken when asked for an effort.
STILL OF THE NIGHT - began awkwardly.
MAKE US GRIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
PAY ME THE CHANGE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
THE GO TO MAN - broke at the start, rearing and refusing to settle and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
COLLECTABLE LADY - raced keen nearing the 1000 metres.
WESTY RANGER - held up throughout the run home.

GORE BAY - raced in the parked position throughout, hung inwards when exiting the final bend, weakened final stages. When questioned regarding the colt's performance driver N McGrath advised that the colt did not handle today's track conditions.
BETTOR THAN THAT - raced greenly when being restrained to take cover nearing the 1200 metres. Driver N Purdon admitted using his whip in an excessive manner over the final stages with the JCA imposing a fine of $300.
MACKS COURAGE - weakened over the concluding stages.
AIRPARK FLYER - paced roughly throughout, broke nearing the 1500 metres, lost ground on the final bend.

MONARCHY INVASION - broke on the bend near the 800 metres. The gelding was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
JERRY GARCIA - trotted roughly rounding the first bend near the 2400 metres.
FIRA - broke nearing the 1600 metres.
ONE OVER DOVER - slow in the early stages and got back as a result. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend and again over the concluding stages.
MEDUSA - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver G Smith advised he will be recommending gear changes.
SONEY BEATT - over-raced through the middle stages, weakened concluding stages. Driver S Tomlinson advised the gelding had been unsuited to having its lead pressured through the middle stages.

OK I'M BAD - was inclined to hang throughout and failed to finish the race off in a competitive manner. Driver S Ottley advised that she was disappointed with the gelding's effort. Stewards will follow the recovery of the gelding up with trainer D Ottley in the coming days.
STOMPEM - driver B Butt admitted using his whip in an excessive manner over the final stages with the JCA suspending his Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing at the NZMTC's meeting on the 6th October 2017 up to and including the Methven meeting on the 15th October 2017 (4 days).
SCOTLYNN JUSTIS - raced roughly for a short distance soon after the start.
MARAT SAF FINN - raced greenly near the 1300 metres having to be steadied. Improved with cover rounding the final bend. Failed to finish the race off in a competitive fashion. When questioned Driver J Young could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with trainer D Taylor in the coming days.
QUEEN OF GLORY - held up for clear racing room early stages of the run home.
ZAHARA ZURI - inconvenienced near the 1200 metres having to be steadied losing ground in consequence.

There was a delay to start of this race when PEGASUS DREAM required the attention of the farrier. There was a further delay when the dust sheet on HABIBTI IVY had to be removed after it became damaged.
VALMAGNE - tired rounding the final bend.
ZACHARY BINX - broke after 100 metres losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly through the middle stages before breaking again nearing the 500 metres.
YOUNG STRANGER - tired rounding the final bend.
BELLES SON - held up in the early stages of the run home.
AMARETTO SUN - improved three wide from the 1300 metres to race in the parked position, weakened considerably over the concluding stages. Driver S Tomlinson was disappointed with the gelding's performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards will follow this up with the trainer K Ford in the coming days.

HALL OF FAME - broke for a short distance after the start.
BANK RAIDER - checked and broke at the start.
KARDESLER - broke at the start shifting inwards checking BANK RAIDER. A warning was placed on the horse's barrier manners. Awkwardly placed to the inside of HALL OF FAME after 150 metres due to an easing of the pace.
CLASINA MARIA - displayed poor barrier manners. Was held up early stages of the run home.
ROCKI WARRIOR - broke at the start. Had to be steadied when awkwardly placed to the outside of CLASINA MARIA nearing the 150 metres.
ALL ABOUT HENRY - broke at the start.
 
Race 10STALLIONS AUSTRALASIA MARES MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
SHE'S A FLYIN - held up in the early stages of the run home.
ELITE EXCUSE - awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of IODEAN shortly after the start. Trainer H Westrum was fined $100 for presenting this mare without the notifiable blinds.
DORIE DELIGHT - raced greenly through the early and middle stages.
GOODLOOKIN CHICK - raced wide from the 1200 metres.
BLACK RAINE - weakened concluding stages after receiving an economical run. When questioned regarding the mare's performance, trainer C Dalgety advised that he was disappointed with the mare's efforts over the final stages and he will be reconsidering her racing future.
IODEAN - was awkwardly placed to the sulky of SHE'S A FLYIN shortly after the start when there was an easing of the pace. Hung inwards and paced roughly when improving to the parked position nearing the 800 metres.
LOCHRANZA FRANCO - over-raced early stages.
STOP MEANS STOP - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
