AGINCOURT - broke at the 900 metres when leading and again at the 400 metres when at the rear.
A GLASS OF TANQUERAY - inconvenienced briefly early in the run home.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - lay in final turn when leading and had to be corrected before shifting out marginally.
GIRLS ON FILM - broke shortly after the start and again rounding the first bend and trailed the field.
MON ARCHIE WAY - broke shortly after the start.

KATE JACKSON - broke passing the 2600 metres when being restrained and striking the foot rest. A warning was placed on this mare's mobile barrier manners record.
M T POCKETS - over-raced over the early and middle stages before attempting to improve entering the back straight the final time but was soon under pressure failing to run on, finishing in 8th place, beaten 11.1 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Junior Driver J. MacKinnon explained that over-racing during the running had taken its toll. Mr MacKinnon further stated that the gelding had then dropped the bit racing through the front straight to receive the bell and that he had been concerned that he would be forced wider on reaching the 1000 metres so he was required to drive the gelding along and as a result he did not activate the hopple shorteners until racing down the back. Trainer T. Vince advised the horse is better racing in a more forward position, however, was reluctant to instruct Driver MacKinnon to go forward due to the speed of the runners drawn to his inside.

TERESKOVA - broke shortly after the start and galloped for a considerable distance before settling. A warning was placed on the standing start manners of the mare. A Protest was lodged against the mare's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) on the grounds of breaking in excess of 150 metres over the early stages. The Protest was not contested by connections and the JCA disqualified TERESKOVA from 4th placing.
ROI DES GITANS - stood on the mark losing ground. Broke near the 150 metres.
SHADY SADIE - Driver J. Stormont advised he did not activate the deafeners on the winner.
TORBJORN - broke near the 150 metres.
DANKE - held up early in the run home.
ANGUS BURGA - over-raced in the middle stages.

MAXIM - broke passing the 300 metres for a considerable distance. A Protest was lodged against the gelding's 5th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation for galloping excessively over the final stages. The Protest was not contested and the J.C.A. disqualified MAXIM. Driver B. Mangos advised that the gelding had pulled the off fore shoe.

ACCEPTANCE - gave ground from the 1300 metres and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. ACCEPTANCE was subsequently stood down pending a veterinary clearance which is to include a satisfactory ECG.
SOLID GOLD - over-raced middle stages.
DREAM TO REALITY - was inconvenienced near the 1650 metres, shifting ground outwards.
ALTA MAESTRO - Trainer R.J. Dunn was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 for presenting the colt with an incorrect saddle cloth.
