Race 9 - BRECKON FARMS / ALL STARS RACING STABLES EASTER CUP (STAND)
As a result of an article mid week, Stewards questioned trainer G Anderson regarding the health of TITAN BANNER leading up and subsequent to the running of the Easter Cup. After considering his explanation Stewards were satisfied that the only required action was to remind Mr Anderson of his obligations under Rule 305(b) & (c) which require him to notify Stewards as soon as practicable of anything which may have affected the running of his horse in a race.

Race 3 - COCA-COLA AMATIL MOBILE TROT
The connections of DIANA HARBOUR have notified Stewards that subsequent examinations have shown the mare has not, as first diagnosed, sustained any fractures to it's pedal bone and/or pastern but been suffering from a foot abscess for which treatment is ongoing.

THE KAIK - raced wide early and middle stages before being taken forwards to race outside the leader near the 850 metres. Driver D Dunn explained the gelding had been forced to work too hard in the testing conditions.
GOT A BEAUTY - struck and dislodged a pylon leaving the first bend.
ALL NUTS N BOLTS - raced wide in the early stages.
ADMIRAL - shifted inwards under pressure throughout the run home.
RUSSIAN EXPRESS - raced fiercely on the final bend causing driver B Orange some difficulty.
ROCKNROLL NEVIN - over-raced early then paced unevenly approaching the 1200 metres.

RUM IN THE SUN - held up on the final bend.
DRAGON BOY - broke at the start losing its chance.
IZMOK - trotted roughly throughout the run home. When questioned regarding the performance, co-trainer/driver C DeFilippi advised he had been slightly disappointed however felt the gelding had failed to handle the significant rise in class.
LEO'S GIFT - broke racing towards the 2200 metres. Broke again passing the 450 metres.
ELVIS P - broke racing into the first bend.
MICHELLE - broke with 400 metres to run.
ALVIRA HEST - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
LAVROS JACK - briefly hampered on the bend near the 400 metres. Raced roughly for a short distance when shifting into the passing lane at the top of the straight. Unable to gain clear racing room over the final stages.

SI SI SENOR - when spoken to regarding the colt's improved performance, trainer M Jones explained they had been disappointed with its run on the 18th of August however a veterinary examination and blood tests were unable to detect any issues. Mr Jones reported the horse had recovered well from this outing and pleased him with its work in preparation for this meeting.
SHARNAE - hampered when progressing wide near the 1000 metres.
JUST DANCE - inconvenienced near the 1000 metres and had to be steadied.
FRANCO GARCIA - slipped its saddle cloth during the running.
KARMIC WAY - inconvenienced near the 1000 metres and had to be steadied. Raced roughly at the 300 metres. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance driver T Chmiel explained he had been instructed to drive the gelding with one run after its performance last week however had become positioned further back than he anticipated and the tempo of the race had not been run to suit the back markers.
REAL OBSESSION - driver R Close reported the mare to have over-raced throughout.
SUPREME BANNER - broke passing the 1600 metres contacting track markers before settling.
HAIL CHRISTIAN - raced greenly near the 1000 metres and shifted outwards hampering another runner.
ULTIMATE JJ - weakened over the concluding stages.
MATAU GEM - broke in the score up recovering to take up its position at the start. Paced roughly and then broke racing into the first bend. Inconvenienced near the 1000 metres and had to be steadied.
Following this event the track was downgraded to slushy.

LETSGOTOTHEHOP - paced unevenly in the early stages.
EARTHQUAKE - broke at the start.
RANFURLY RULZ - Trainers G & N Hope were issued with a $50 minor infringement notice for the late notification of blinds.
PETITE'S BLUE CHIP - when questioned regarding the improved performance of his gelding, trainer B White advised he had made alterations to the horse's training regime which had led to an encouraging recent trial.
BLACK ART - broke at the start.
OK I'M BAD - inconvenienced in the early stages.
SPORTSCASTER - had difficulty being brought up into its position causing a delay. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke at the start. Driver D Keast was cautioned for the manner he drove in the early stages of the run home.
VAN LADDIE - over-raced through the middle stages when positioned to the outside of the leader. Weakened inside the final 500 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
SHE'SA TRICKY BRIDGE - broke at the start. Raced three wide from the 1300 metres before reaching the parked position at the 600 metres.
TAKE AFTER ME - checked soon after the start when attempting to avoid a breaking runner.
 
Race 5GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD SHOW DAY FUTURITY PRELUDE (MOBILE)Video  Video 
SPONDULICKS - raced keenly throughout. Badly held up near the 800 metres by the weakening CORAL BEACH having to be heavily restrained and losing considerable ground in consequence.
SKYLA FRANCO - badly inconvenienced near the 700 metres having to be restrained for a short distance. Failed to race competitively thereafter finishing some distance from the field.
DON'T TELL ANGE - weakened on the bend near the 500 metres.
THE GOLDEN BOY - lay outwards throughout the final straight.
MOCKINGJAY - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the final stages.
CORAL BEACH - under pressure passing the 1100 metres then compounded through the back straight on the final occasion finishing a distant last. When spoken to regarding the run driver J Curtin explained the mare had hung throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness in the hocks with a clearance required prior to the resumption of racing.

THE FOOT TAPPER - broke for several strides at the start. Driver S Whatuira reported she had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
HEY YO - shifted outwards on the final bend which allowed the trailing ALDERBECK (B Williamson) to improve outwards and obtain a run. Stewards questioned drivers B Williamson and J Harrington regarding this where it became apparent HEY YO had been allowed to shift outwards when driver Harrington was attempting to activate the mare's deafeners. J Harrington was issued with a warning for his lack of awareness at this time.
DONEGAL BETTORGRETCH - paced shortly after the start with driver D Dunn taking the horse clear of the field to correct its gait. 4th placing was withheld until it was confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
PETITE ONE - broke briefly as the start was made.
ARRAN CHIEF - began awkwardly. Inclined to lay out during the running.
HARRIET OF MOT - broke at the start losing its chance.
HABIBTI IVY - hung inwards throughout. Hampered on the final bend having to shift wider.

The start was delayed after USAIN COLT, ART UNION and BITE THE BULLET breasted the barrier causing it to activate. The respective drivers R May, R McIlwrick and J Dunn were warned in regard to anticipating the start.
GLENFERRIE CLASSIC - slow in the early stages.
USAIN COLT - held up over the early stages of the run home. A hind bandage came adrift. Trainers G & N Hope were issued a $100 minor infringement notice.
ART UNION - broke at the start.
QUITE IDEAL - broke at the start.
NEW YEARS JAY - held up rounding the final bend.
 
Race 8WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
KARDESLER - broke briefly near the 150 metres.
DREAM TO REALITY - raced wide from the 1200 metres. Broke near the 250 metres when placed in restricted room by MALIK.
MALIK - shifted inwards abruptly near the 250 metres after having its deafeners activated checking DREAM TO REALITY. Continued to lay inwards throughout the straight despite the efforts of driver B Orange. A warning was placed on the racing record of MALIK. The connections advised the entire will be sent for a spell.

MY BLUE HEAVEN - broke in the early stages.
WAIKARI FIRE - hampered at the start. Held up by a weakening runner between the 600 metres and the 300 metres.
JAY JAYZ BOY - hampered at the start. Raced wide in the early stages.
PINE CONE - began awkwardly and shifted inwards crowding inside runners.
DIOS DEL FUEGO - broke briefly at the start. Weakened on the final bend.
CHAAAT - raced roughly when improving wide leaving the final bend. Again raced roughly when placed under pressure throughout the run home.
BOOMER - hung inwards in the early stages of the run home making contact with the sulky of MEGA WATT breaking in consequence. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
MAGICAL MATTY - inconvenienced in the early stages having to shift ground and in doing so lost momentum.
DEVILICIOUS - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
STILL OF THE NIGHT - broke near the 900 metres. Driver D Keast explained his mare had paced well until he had activated the hopple shorteners and from this point on her gait had worsened. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
MEGA WATT - raced roughly for a short distance near the 1800 metres when there was a slight easing of the pace in the two wide line.
 
Race 10YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
GUNPOWDER - held up on the final bend.
MARTIN JOHN - briefly placed in restricted room near the 150 metres when under pressure.
PAT CAMPBELL - held up rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the mare's improved performance trainer B Negus explained that at its last start the horse had been held up with the driver then losing their whip. He added that prior to that start this horse had been racing well with no luck and tonight had derived considerable benefit from a more favourable barrier draw.
CLASINA MARIA - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver J Young as to the reasoning she did not improve her mare's position on the final bend near the 350 metres but instead elected to try for an inside run with her being held up for some distance. Miss Young explained that her mare had been hanging inwards and racing roughly which she proposed may have been due to the track conditions or the horse being fresh up since the 16th of June. She added that the horse had previously performed best when able to be driven with a sit and felt her horse was unsuited to improving wide. After reviewing the films Stewards accepted her explanation.
HIGHLAND REIGN - driver R May reported he had been unable to activate the mare's deafeners and sliding blinds.
WOBBEGONG - held up in the early stages of the run home.
MY WEE MAN - raced three wide for the first 700 metres before being improved to the lead near the 1200 metres.
