Race 6 - HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY BARRY LUCAS MOBILE PACE
Stewards have issued a warning to M Anderson as the driver of MACHIE MACH for failing to show sufficient effort to ensure his runner did not improve into the passing lane near the 1400 metres. In taking this action Stewards considered the considerable impact the trailing REAZA GRUNTER was having on Mr Anderson at the time, but determined that his attempts to keep this runner off his wheel had continued for an excessive period and led his runner to shift inwards when it should not have done so.
Oamaru HRC - Sunday, 6th August 2017
Race 5 - NEVELE R STUD JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
The connections of WOODLEA SHAWN have advised Stewards that blood tests taken from the gelding following its disappointing run at Oamaru on 6 August have revealed no abnormalities. They added that WOODLEA SHAWN was not suited to doing work in the running on that occasion and has worked pleasingly in preparation for its resumption at Addington this week.
Rangiora HRC - Sunday, 13th August 2017
Race 2 - KIERAN McNAUGHT CADET OF THE YEAR TROT
Trainer G McCrea has advised Stewards that since racing at Rangiora on Sunday, FAMILY NIGHT has had blood tests taken with these revealing that the mare was suffering from a virus which is now being treated.
