Race Comments
Race 1FAIRVIEW MOTORS CAMBRIDGE AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video
BUFFY BAY - raced three wide for the first 600 meters before crossing to sit outside the leader. Tired from the 700 metres to finish at the rear.
THIS EXCUSE IS FINE - raced four wide early and then three wide for the remainder before commencing to tire from the 400 metres. When questioned regarding his driving tactics Amateur Driver J Kriechbaumer stated after being caught wide early that he had commenced to restrain back towards the rear to secure a position closer to the marker line, however when STAND SURE shifted out to a three wide position in front of him near the 1200 metres he elected to attempt to improve forward on that runner's back but his gelding was soon under pressure and commenced to give ground shortly after. Mr Kriechbaumer's comments were noted.
MOONDYNE JOE - held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear racing room. Amateur Drivers J Darby (MOONDYNE JOE) and G Cronin (GENOCIATE) were questioned regarding an incident early in the run home where MOONDYNE JOE was restrained out of a position between GENOCIATE and STAND SURE. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replay Mr Cronin was given the benefit of the doubt as to whether he had allowed his mare to shift ground outwards tightening MOONDYNE JOE and no further action was deemed necessary.
