Trainer T Stratford has advised Stewards that FATHERDANTHERODEOMAN has recovered well since its run at Forbury Park on Thursday and will have gear changes made prior to its next engagement in an attempt to cure its tendency to hang.

Trainers P Wakelin and S Noble have advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington on Friday night, RUSTY I AM was found to have a displaced vertebrae and associated muscle soreness with treatment to be undertaken this week.
Race 5 - DARREN DEFILIPPI MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
Junior driver J Markham (assisted by Senior Horseman G O'Reilly) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip excessively inside the final 400 metres when driving JEAN SEBASTIEN. After viewing the films and hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Markham's licence from the conclusion of racing at Rangiora HRC on 9 July 2017 up to and including 16 July 2017 (3 days).

BETTOR BACKIM - held up leaving the final bend.
BORN AGAIN DELIGHT - raced wide in the early stages.
PORT HANOVER - raced wide in the early stages. Held up for the majority of the home straight. Driver D Reardon dropped his foot from the sulky rest in the run home. Mr Reardon was warned to ensure his foot returns to the sulky rest at the earliest opportunity. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after returning to the assembly area with blood present in one nostril. This examination confirmed the gelding to be a bleeder and PORT HANOVER was stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance and one satisfactory trial required prior to resuming.
ROYAL JESTER - Trainer M House (A Edge as agent) was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to notify a driver. Raced wide from the 1200 metres.
BISHOP BRIAN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Held up leaving the final bend.
REDMARO - Driver M Hallett reported the gelding's removable deafeners were not activated due to being held up for clear racing room in the home straight.

IDEAL INVASION - broke after 150 metres.
LOVEYOUTODOIT - tired from the 500 metres and then paced before breaking briefly near the 300 metres. Driver J Dunn dropped his foot from the sulky rest on the final bend. Mr Dunn was warned to ensure his foot returns to the sulky rest at the earliest opportunity. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
DON'T ROCK THE BOAT - broke at the start.
DRAGON BOY - broke at the start. Authorisation of 2nd placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
SUNRISE SPUR - trotted roughly in the home straight.
GIRLZ N BOYZ - raced keenly middle stages. Held up final bend.
FIRA SUNSET - hung outwards on several occasions during the running. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
NATHAN D - broke at the 1400 metres.
THANK U GEORGE - raced wide in the middle stages.

BRONX VILLAGE - had to be steadied near the 400 metres when awkwardly placed between CLASSIE CULLECT and AWAYTOCULLECT. Broke passing the 250 metres.
SUPREME LINCOLN - held up final bend.
CLASSIE CULLECT - shifted outwards marginally when held up on the final bend after becoming awkwardly placed behind SUPREME LINCOLN and had to be steadied.
VYNDETTA - broke at the start. Gave ground final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
TALL POPPY - broke at the start. Raced wide in the middle stages when improving to lead. Tired from the 500 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
RICO GOLD - broke at the start.
OUT OF ACES - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced greenly at the 1400 metres.
AWAYTOCULLECT - hung inwards near the 400 metres.
CLASSIE REGAL - inconvenienced near the 400 metres.
DONEGAL CARNBOUY - broke at the start.
MAGICAL MATTY - late scratching on veterinary advice at 10.20 am.

GOODTIME GAMBLE - over-raced throughout. Broke near the 500 metres.
CARLEY MAGUIRE - raced greenly near the 1000 metres. Hung outwards leaving the final bend.
ALL SETTLED DOWN - Trainer G Smith admitted a breach of Rule 858(b) in that he presented this mare to race with under five minutes until start time. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.

HANDLEBAR HANK - over-raced middle stages. Held up by tiring runner near the 500 metres.
GERALD - over-raced middle stages. Tired from the 500 metres.
ROCKNROLL NEVIN - hung inwards and paced roughly near the 600 metres when awkwardly placed close to the sulky of GREEN FINGERS. Hung inwards throughout the home straight.
MIDFREW TARPEDIEM - held up leaving the final bend.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - paced roughly near the 400 metres and had to be steadied. Continued to pace roughly throughout the home straight and was unable to be driven out.

MONARCHY INVASION - broke near the 150 metres and refused to settle.
JEAN SEBASTIEN - slow to begin. Raced four wide from the 500 metres. Shifted inwards marginally in the home straight.
HOLLY TROUBLE - hung inwards in the home straight.
WANDERING STAR - commenced to weaken from the 500 metres.
TROUBLE DEL - broke shortly after the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer W Stapleton.
WOT UP - hung outwards in the home straight and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of HOLLY TROUBLE near the 100 metres which hung inwards.
WISHES STAR - weakened from the 500 metres.
SHEER CLASS - paced away and had to be broken up by driver R May losing all chance.

MILLWOOD CHARITY - gave ground final bend.

DIAMOND LIFE - broke shortly after the start. Driver R May reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
SMOOTH MARA - tired from the 700 metres inconveniencing CLARENDON'S LAST, GAME CHANGER and JUST BEN. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CLARENDON'S LAST - driver G O'Reilly was warned for the manner he drove near the 2100 metres when shifting ground. Inconvenienced near the 700 metres.
GAME CHANGER - inconvenienced near the 700 metres. Held up early stages of the home straight.
RED MOON RISING - weakened over the concluding stages after racing parked.
DANA DAWN - hampered racing into the first bend.
GO DAVEY - broke at the start.
JUST BEN - crowded for racing room near the 2100 metres and had to be steadied. Inconvenienced near the 700 metres. Held up for a short distance leaving the final bend.
BET ON A RASCAL - hampered racing into the first bend. Driver T Williams reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
JOEY MAGUIRE - held up near the 250 metres.

MACHJAGGER - over-raced middle stages. Struck a pylon near the 1500 metres when placed in restricted room.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - raced wide rounding the first bend. Over-raced in the middle stages.
LIVING GLORY - broke briefly near the 1500 metres.
LIKE A PRAYER - paced roughly in the home straight.
BEACH SKIPPER - hung inwards when improving to the lead near the 1500 metres placing MACHJAGGER in restricted room.
FRANCO NATE - gave ground final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver S Ottley reported the gelding had been unsuited to racing parked and would be recommending that it be driven with cover in future when circumstances permit.
