WILLANGUS LAD - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Broke after 100m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance.

WILLANGUS LAD - weakened from the 700m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule when WILLANGUS LAD raced wider on the track near the 2000m. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied driver C Hart (MUSCLE BANK) had commenced his outward movement prior to WILLANGUS LAD reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was required. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hurrell advised the gelding had been unsuited to the extra distance of today's race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and signs of stress. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

IT'S SO EASY - trotted roughly at the start. Weakened from the 1100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule near the 2200m when LIGHT OF DA MOON shifted ground outwards onto CORMORAN STRIKE. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied IT'S SO EASY had not been forced to race wider and no further action was required.

CODY BANNER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend before breaking early in the run home losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

CODY BANNER - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Again trotted roughly in the run home and lay outwards resulting in the gelding shifting up the track. Driver M Williamson was advised to make a better effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future. When questioned regarding the improved performance Mr Williamson advised the gelding had benefited from the addition of half hopples and had been suited by the longer distance.

ONE TWO MENNY - trotted roughly when weakening from the 1100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate however had recovered well with no other abnormalities detected.

ONE TWO MENNY - raced wide early. Trotted roughly and broke near the 1900m. Trotted roughly and broke again near the 900m proving difficult to control and was retired from the race by driver J Cox. When asked to comment Mr Cox confirmed he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout. A final warning was placed on the racing record of ONE TWO MENNY.
