Race 3 - UNITED CLEANING SERVICES HANDICAP TROT
Trainer T Macfarlane has advised Stewards that GEORGE has been treated for a hoof abscess which surfaced the day following its run at the Auckland TC's meeting on 31/08/17 and has responded well to treatment. The gelding has also had pads added to its shoes and has trained on well since.

FRONT PAGE - held up early final turn.
MISS HOOLLIGAN - raced greenly in score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed against the filly's mobile barrier manners. Inconvenienced near the 1800 metres when the pace eased. Raced greenly near the 1400 metres. Raced 4 wide from the 600 metres.
BROOKE'S IMAGE - inconvenienced briefly near the 1800 metres when the pace eased.
PEANUT BETTOR - inconvenienced briefly near the 1800 metres when the pace eased.
NAYA - shifted up the track one sulky final turn when leading.
MISS KEESHA - pulled flat tyre from 1400 metres after being contacted by MISS HOOLLIGAN which was racing greenly.

LINCOLNS DELIGHT - Driver Z Butcher advised the mare worked hard early into the strong wind. The mare finished 9th beaten 4.0 lengths.
CAPTAIN KIRK - paced roughly at various stages.
TACT OLLIE - lay in and lost contact with field rounding the first turn. Jumped marker peg near the 1200 metres when racing at the rear losing its chance.
BUBBLES O'LEARY - hung in dislodging a marker peg passing the 1200 metres. Held up throughout the run home.
CHEROKEE WARRIOR - held up throughout the run home.
LAMBROS - raced 3 wide first 800 metres.

CD EXPRESS - broke 150 metres after start losing ground before settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
SLYS SHADOW - broke near the 1900 metres when in restricted room. Weakened final stages.

VALMARA - paced roughly entering first turn.
MARQUIS EYRE - gave ground final stages.
R GEE BEE - inclined to lay in during score up.
CARLAW PARK - caught 3 wide early before being restrained to the rear. Improved forward to race outside leader approaching the 1700 metres. Under pressure near the 500 metres and tired to finish at the rear beaten 63 lengths. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer S Telfer advised that it was his intention to freshen the horse and undertook to contact Stewards should anything surface that would explain the performance.
DOUBLE TWIST - An information was lodged alleging that Junior Horseman T Lethaby used his whip excessively driving the mare over the final stages. The charge was admitted with the penalty hearing to be heard at the Auckland TC's meeting on the 15 September 2017.

GOTTA MOMENT - over raced badly when being restrained in an attempt to relinquish the lead early.
DEER HUNTER - broke shortly after the start and was retired from the event. It was established that a front hopple loop broke causing it to gallop before the other front hopple loop also broke. The gear was inspected and found to be in good order with the trainer deemed not to be at fault.
LINCOLN STREET - broke when contesting the lead rounding the first bend and was taken wider on the track losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
INKY KING - over raced middle stages.
STRAVAGANZA - stopped inside the final 700 metres.
YANKEE C J - broke early in score up before recovering to take up it's position behind mobile gate. Lay in approaching first bend losing contact with the field.
LINC'S BUTE - tired from inside the 500 metres.

GOTTA KEEPASECRET - broke inside the 400 metres losing chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
PAY ME OVERS - a Minor Infringement notice was issued and a $100.00 fine imposed on Trainer S Reid for presenting the mare without the notified removable deafeners.
FLOATING ON EYRE - over raced early when 3 wide for the first 900 metres. Tired inside the final 600 metres.

ROBBIE BURNS - broke briefly and was slow away. When questioned regarding the performance driver M McKendry advised that the gelding had hung in when the pace quickened leaving the back straight the final time and only battled over the final stages.

DONNA MAY - broke at start losing ground. Inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 1300 metres.
THE REV - broke approaching first turn losing ground. Tired over the final stages.
