SVELT - hung inwards late in the run home placing inside runner in restricted room.
PEGASUS SUNRISE - broke at the start. Over-raced through the middle stages. Trotted roughly throughout the home straight and was unable to be driven out.
CUDDLY TROUBLE - placed in restricted room over the concluding stages.
AMBRO AMEIGO - slow to begin.

The start was delayed due to several runners proving fractious.
SEFTON HOOLIGAN - tangled away. Briefly held up in the early stages of the home straight. Driver M Purvis reported that he had difficulty activating the sliding blinds due to the cord breaking.
HANDSOME MAC - broke at the start.
ROCK STOCK N BARREL - broke at the start. Weakened on the final bend.
THE RED BARON - tangled away. Weakened on the final bend.
KAKA POINT CHRIS - broke at the start and shifted outwards abruptly severely checking STAR RULER. Stood down to trial from a standing start on one occasion.
STAR RULER - broke at the start. Severely checked by KAKA POINT CHRIS in the early stages losing all chance.
IDEAL CONQUEST - tangled away.
TRENDY'S BAD GIRL - broke at the start.
MATAI WILL - broke at the start.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - shifted into the Passing Lane in the early stages of home straight. Driver A Suddaby was warned to ensure he leaves full access to the Passing Lane for trailing runners.
AFRO DIZZY YAK - weakened on the final bend.

MR MAJESTIC - broke after 100 metres losing considerable ground.
MASS INVASION - hung inwards throughout the home straight.
SAM GALLEON - broke at the start. Again broke on the bend near the 2300 metres losing significant ground. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Weakened on the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities. Stewards questioned drivers B Williamson (SAM GALLEON) and N Williamson (SPLASH COLA) regarding the breaking of SAM GALLEON on the first bend. After hearing from both drivers it was established that SAM GALLEON had shifted outwards into a marginal run while SPLASH COLA had then hung inwards placing SAM GALLEON in restricted room. Mr B Williamson was issued with a caution for the manner he drove when improving his position.
PYRAMID MAGIC - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer P Williamson could offer no tangible explanation for the gelding's last start failure however added PYRAMID MAGIC had worked well leading into today's race. Driver M Williamson added that the gelding had appreciated a drop in class today and the slow overall time of the race.
PYRAMID MONARCH - hampered near the 2300 metres and had to be steadied by driver C Purvis.

KEEP IT SIMPLE - weakened and hung inwards on the final bend striking several pylons.
TILLY PATRON - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
JANUARY JONES - hung inwards in the early stages.
MISTY MEMORY - weakened from the 600 metres. Trainer/driver H Hunter reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners on the mare due to the cord becoming entangled. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow recovery rate.
IECHYD DA - raced wide throughout.
HANS IDEAL - paced roughly racing into the first bend. Broke briefly near the 1400 metres.

SOAPBOX - held up on the final bend.
VAN EVA - weakened from the 400 metres.
TUBBY JIM - hampered near the 500 metres.
NOMATTERMEE - raced wide without cover through the early stages. Shifted outwards near the 500 metres and broke after striking the sulky wheel of LAUGHING CAVALIER resulting in trailing runners being checked. Junior horseman M Hurrell with the assistance of Senior horseman C Ferguson admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground near the 500 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
PAT'S LEGACY - hampered near the 500 metres. Held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
LAUGHING CAVALIER - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. Driver A Milne reported that he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 500 metres.
NO MORE CHANGE - held up on the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
ANNIE FITZ - raced keenly near the 700 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight then raced in restricted room late in the run home and had to be steadied. Driver C Purvis reported that one hopple shortener had failed to activate.
JUSTAN'S SISTER - hampered near the 500 metres.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - raced wide from the 1000 metres.

FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - raced wide from the 1000 metres. Commenced to weaken from the 500 metres.
ALLIE - raced fiercely on the bend near the 1400 metres when being restrained to take a trail.
DISMARA - hung outwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
BENIO BEN - held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
RAKE - held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
LUCA BRASI - had to be steadied near the 800 metres after an easing of the pace.
THE BUS - raced wide in the middle stages.

HURRICANE BANNER - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
CAITLIN FRANCO - hung inwards in the early stages. Again hung inwards on the final bend.
CANARDLY REMEMBER - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
PAY ME JIMMY - raced greenly entering the first bend and shifted outwards when leading.
LINDALI - paced roughly when being restrained near the 900 metres.
MARTIN MCGUINNESS - held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.
DON'T PASS I'M FAST - over-raced through the middle stages. Driver A Suddaby reported he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.

TUHERBS TWO - raced greenly in the early stages and hung outwards checking PANTASTIC which broke. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
PANTASTIC - checked and broke in the early stages.
TAS MAN BROMAC - improved wide from the 1200 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson reported the gelding had peaked on its effort over the concluding stages however felt it would derive considerable benefit from the race.
 
Race 9KUBALA SEEDS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
IDEALISTIC LASS - over-raced in the early stages.
DECEITNDESIRE - weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer C Laurenson advised he would have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the recovery of DECEITNDESIRE.
TO RI ALBY - raced wide final bend.
JABALI - raced wide through the early stages. Junior horseman M Hurrell with the assistance of Senior horseman N Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip excessively inside the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $400.
EL CAPITAN - raced wide from the 800 metres.
FIERY FERRET - when questioned regarding the improved performance, co-trainer G Knight explained the gelding benefited from being freshened and had performed well at recent workouts.
ONE DIRECTION - raced wide through the early stages. Raced fiercely when being restrained near the 1400 metres.
UNDERSTUDY - weakened on the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate.
