BOURBON STREET - raced three wide for the first 800 metres. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre in the middle stages.
SHARDON'S PEARL - raced four wide from inside the 700 metres.
CHRISSIE JET - Amateur Driver S Butcher momentarily dropped his foot from the sulky foot-rest approaching the 50 metres.

SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - trotted roughly rounding the turn near the 1300 metres.
AMY'S INVASION - trotted roughly then broke passing the 1200 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event.
ANZAC - Driver S Cornwall reported that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 400 metres when contacted by the galloping JEWEL OF SHEBAR.

JACK BATES - Trainer F Mitchell was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the gelding without the notified removeable deafeners.
JUDE'S GEM - held up throughout the final straight.
SHAPESHIFTER - locked wheels entering the first turn and broke losing considerable ground. Gave ground racing down the back the final time and was retired from the event.
SKY DIAMOND - Trainer R Green was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the horse without the correct saddle cloth number. Locked wheels entering the first turn. Paced roughly approaching the 600 metres when three wide without cover.
SCANRECO BAY - was back out of position throughout the score-up despite the efforts of Junior Driver C Smith. A warning was placed against the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
MAGNUM ROSE - broke early in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
FLOATING ON EYRE - weakened over the final stages.
JANET GUTHRIE - Junior Driver T Lethaby reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners and sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
EASY FOR CULLEN - held up early final turn and initial stage of the run home.

PEANUT BETTOR - lay out when placed under pressure in the final straight.
WAYTOGO BRUNO - raced greenly when leading passing the winning post with a lap to run. Ducked in and broke near the 900 metres before shifting down inside the marker pegs losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Was unable to obtain clear running throughout the final straight.

SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start losing considerable ground.

LINCOLNS DELIGHT - inconvenienced near the 2300 metres. Contested for a position in the one out running line approaching the 800 metres. Broke approaching the 300 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
R GEE BEE - broke approaching the 2300 metres when in restricted room inconveniencing a trailing runner but soon settled. Broke approaching the 800 metres when being restrained back out of a marginal gap losing ground before settling. Inconvenienced by the galloping LINCOLNS DELIGHT approaching the 300 metres.
HAPPY MAGIC - inconvenienced by the galloping LINCOLNS DELIGHT approaching the 300 metres then held up rounding the final bend.
STUNNING SHADOW - paced roughly approaching the first turn. Contested for a position in the one out running line approaching the 800 metres.

ROSADO - broke shortly after the start and galloped for a considerable distance. Raced keenly throughout. A warning was placed against the mare's mobile barrier manners. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until it was established that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
VIEWFIELD GNAT - broke near the 300 metres losing its chance. The gelding was subsequently stood down until it trials satisfactorily.
TRINITY BROMAC - had to be strongly restrained off the back of STRAVAGANZA (leader) entering the first turn. Raced keenly middle stages when outside the leader.
KNIGHTS DESIRE - held up on the final turn and throughout the run home when unable to obtain clear running. Driver P Ferguson reported that he did not activate the deafeners.
