LINC'S BUTE - raced roughly under pressure on the final bend.
GOODDEALEHEMILY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners record.

There was a delay of approximately five minutes to the start of this race when MY GENERATION required the attention of the farrier.
BANNER OF ART - when questioned regarding the gelding's performance Driver T. Macfarlane could only advise he had been disappointed with its effort. A post-race veterinary examination showed no abnormality.
SILKY SMOOTH EXCUSE - hung inwards throughout the middle stages.

OPAWA SPEED - when questioned regarding the gelding's improved performance Trainer D. Iremonger explained the horse had been unsuited to racing parked at its most recent start and two starts ago had over-raced when leading. He added that the gelding had taken benefit from an economical run tonight.
AMY'S INVASION - weakened passing the 800 metres. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance Trainer M. Hjalmarsson explained that he felt his mare had failed to see out the 2700 metres distance and it was his intention going forwards to restrict his horse to shorter course racing.
SIR HENRY CASTLETON - broke near the 1300 metres losing considerable ground. Removed from the unruly for upcoming standing starts.
PRIMUS INTER PARES - broke near the 2100 metres for a short distance settling at the rear of the field. Broke again near the 900 metres losing its chance.

AMERICAN PRINCESS - had some difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the early and middle stages of the run home.
PAKIPAKI - held up early final turn.
VALOR LUSTRE - raced wide in the early stages before improving to lead near the 1600 metres. Weakened near the 500 metres.

SHAPESHIFTER - broke approaching the 1900 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on this mare's racing manners record.
BUFFY BAY - raced three wide early. Hung inwards under pressure on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Raced roughly over the final stages.
P TOMADO - over-raced in the middle stages.
STUNNING SHADOW - held up early until the 100 metres.
NGA MIHI NUI - when spoken to regarding the filly's performance Co-Trainer L. Hollis advised he had been disappointed with her effort and it was his intention to return to Cambridge for upcoming racing.

LAMBROS - placed in restricted room in the early stages and had to be steadied when runners either side shifted ground.
SCANRECO BAY - gave ground final stages.
TACT OLLIE - cast a hoof pad in the early stages. Broke near the 300 metres for a short distance.
PLEASURABLE - when spoken to regarding the filly's performance, Trainer/Driver S. Reid explained that the filly had been on one rein throughout but he was disappointed with its effort over the final stages. He further advised that although the filly had recovered satisfactorily, he would contact Stewards should anything surface that would help to explain the run.
THREE KISSES - had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the final stages.

GEORGE - broke passing the 400 metres and continued on in a gallop for a considerable distance. A Protest was lodged against this horse's promoted 5th placing, which was not contested by the connections, with the gelding consequently disqualified by the J.C.A.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke at the start.
TERESKOVA - broke at the start and continued in a gallop for a considerable distance unable to be restrained. A Protest was lodged against the 3rd placing of this mare on the grounds that it had broken in excess of 150 metres in the early stages. The Protest was not contested by the connections with this runner consequently disqualified by the J.C.A.
GERSHWIN - broke racing into the first turn, shifting outwards checking DJOKOVIC. Over-raced in the middle stages. A Protest was lodged against the 1st placing of this gelding on the grounds that it had broken in excess of 150 metres in the early stages. The Protest was not contested by the connections with this runner consequently disqualified by the J.C.A. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
DJOKOVIC - checked near the 1900 metres losing considerable ground.
SUNSET PEAK - trotted roughly throughout the run home and broke over the final stages. Authorisation of this horse's promoted 3rd placing was withheld until it could be established that the mare had not galloped in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres.
