Race 5 - JASON CAYFORD BIRTHDAY TROT
Caretaker Trainer P Williamson has reported to Stewards that ELLA ABBE has recovered well following its tough run at Forbury Park last Thursday. Mr Williamson commented that the mare has only recently joined his stable and has appeared to have settled in much better this week adding that she will be driven with a sit this Thursday if circumstances permit.

Trainer B Gray has informed Stewards that PAY ME JIMMY has recovered well since its hard run at Forbury Park last week and will continue with its current preparation.

TEHORO NOVA - broke shortly after the start.
PRES THE BELLE - broke passing the winning post on the first occasion then again near the 1500 metres.
GIRLZ N BOYZ - began awkwardly.
LANDORA'S LASSIE - held up rounding the final bend.
MISS COCO - raced wide in the early stages. Trotted roughly on several occasions during the running. Weakened from the 600 metres.
TAIERI MISS - broke in the early stages losing ground.
IMPERIAL WHIZ - broke briefly at the start.
PURE EMOTION - broke rounding the first bend. Broke again for a considerable distance near the 1300 metres.

ESSENCE OF EASTON - when questioned regarding the performance Driver R McIlwrick could offer no tangible explanation however recommended to the connections that the gelding may be better suited when driven with cover.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - over-raced for a distance near the 400 metres having to be steadied when held up. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
NUI BA DEN - held up over the concluding stages.
DOCTOR TIM - held up rounding the final bend until passing the 200 metres.
AKRIS - raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover near the 1600 metres.
FATHERDANTHERODEOMAN - broke at the start.

A false start was declared when there was a gear malfunction with GET REAL during the score up placing Driver B Williamson in difficulty.
LADY'S LASS - Driver T Robertson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner over the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Robertson's horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 13th of July up to and including the 7th of September 2017 (3 days).
FLEUR GALLEON - weakened from the 600 metres.
MAW OF A WOMAN - held up for a short distance near the 500 metres then again near the 300 metres.
ROSTRIEVER VICTORY - driver M Williamson reported that the gelding had hung throughout the home straight.
COOKY - hung inwards and paced roughly near the 1750 metres. Commenced to over-race near the 1100 metres and when being restrained, broke losing its chance. Connections were advised the gelding must trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing next. Trainer A Hoffman advised the gelding would no longer be persevered with as a racing proposition from her stable.

IDEAL ART - inconvenienced near the 350 metres.
MACHJAGGER - held up passing the 400 metres. Broke when attempting a marginal run to the inside of GANGNAM STYLE near the 300 metres resulting in the mare striking several track markers. Junior Driver M Anderson (with the assistance of Senior Horseman N Williamson) defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After hearing from the respective parties the JCA found the charge proved and Mr Anderson was fined $200.
ART EXHIBIT - severely hampered when locking wheels with WOBBEGONG near the 350 metres.
ERROL FINN - raced roughly during the score up and was out of position at dispatch. Severely hampered when locking sulky wheels with ART EXHIBIT near the 300 metres.
ROCKNROLL MAGIC - raced wide from the 1100 metres.
WOBBEGONG - hung inwards rounding the bends throughout. Hung inwards and locked sulky wheels with ART EXHIBIT when being improved near the 450 metres resulting in both runners being severely hampered. Also hampered in this incident was ERROL FINN which in turn locked sulky wheels with ART EXHIBIT. Stewards lodged a Protest against the fourth placing being awarded to WOBBEGONG under Rule 869(A)(2) alleging interference to the fifth place ART EXHIBIT. After hearing from all respective parties the JCA upheld the Protest and relegated WOBBEGONG to fifth placing. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the gelding. Junior Driver A Fitzgerald (with the assistance of Senior Horseman T Williams) was spoken to advisedly for the manner he drove at the 350 metres when activating removable gear.
 
Race 5PINELEA FARM STUNIN CULLEN SPRINT SERIES FINAL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
The start of this event was delayed 5 minutes due to the ongoing Protest in the previous event.
ALEXY - checked and broke near the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial laceration to the right-fore fetlock.
TAKITIMU EXPRESS - locked sulky wheels with WAR HORSE near the 1000 metres when placed in restricted room. Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into this incident.
WAR HORSE - locked sulky wheels with TAKITIMU EXPRESS near the 1000 metres when placed in restricted room to the inside of JETENARA (A Suddaby).
BONTZ - raced wide in the early stages. Trainers T & G Chmiel (B Orange as agent) were issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when presenting the mare with incorrect gear.
AUDI HARE - steadied when awkwardly positioned near a breaking runner passing the 1000 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - inconvenienced and forced wider near the 1000 metres.
 
Race 6FIREMECH CLAIMERS FINAL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
The start of this event was delayed 1 minute at the request of TAB Control.
ELUSIVE FLIGHT - over-raced during the score up. Broke racing into the first bend. Stewards questioned Driver D Dunn in relation to this with Mr Dunn advising that the off-hind hopple had broken which in turn resulted in the gelding racing roughly and breaking. Stewards inspected this gear and was found to be in satisfactory condition.
VANHALEM - paced roughly over the early stages.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - driver B Orange advised he received a punctured sulky tyre near the 250 metres.
JACKALACK SUE - driver R Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 250 metres when contacting the wheel of FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ which punctured in consequence. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $350.
No claims were lodged.

ANOTHER DELIGHT - locked sulky wheels with MADISON JANE momentarily near the 950 metres.
DUCHESS GRACE - inconvenienced 950 metres losing ground.
FATAL REUNION - Driver B Orange admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 950 metres after shifting inwards when not sufficiently clear of OCH AYE THE NOO which was checked and broke. After considering submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $350.
HENGROEN - broke at the start.
MADISON JANE - locked sulky wheels with DUCHESS GRACE momentarily near the 950 metres. Broke near the 500 metres.
FRENCH DESIRE - broke after 200 metres.
OCH AYE THE NOO - broke near the 950 metres when FATAL REUNION shifted inwards. A Protest was lodged against first placing being awarded to FATAL REUNION under Rule 869(A)(2) alleging interference to the third placed OCH AYE THE NOO. After hearing from all respective parties the JCA dismissed the Protest. Stewards withheld third placing being awarded to OCH AYE THE NOO until they were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
 
Race 8TRAINOR ELECTRICAL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
LORRETTA FRANCO - broke late in the score up checking the trailing TRIPLE VC prior to the start. Stewards spoke with Starter W Ferguson where it was established that the green light had accidentally been activated when the mobile arms commenced to move inwards prior to the word 'Right' being given, with a false start being declared. Driver B Williamson elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed against the mobile barrier manners of the mare. Over-raced in the middle stages.
LAUSANNE LASS - at the request of trainer/driver N Williamson, the blinds were removed from the mare after the false start. Held up near the 350 metres.
JACCKA CORIN - broke as the start was effected. Raced roughly near the 400 metres.
SHINGLESTAR - raced roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 950 metres.
TRIPLE VC - over-raced in the middle stages.

The start of this race was delayed 4 minutes at the request of TAB Control.
MAGNETIC WATCH - hung outwards and broke near the 950 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed against the gelding's racing manners.
SAUCHIEHALL - checked near the 950 metres.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - checked near the 950 metres.
HUNTER BROMAC - checked near the 950 metres.
BONNIE MEDLEY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground with the connections warned to improve the mare's mobile barrier manners.
LINDALI - checked near the 950 metres.
NEWMANS JET - checked near the 950 metres.
OKAINS BAY - checked near the 950 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.
 
Race 10BRIAN BENNETT TRANSPORT MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
REAL RAIDER - held up near the 500 metres. Hung outwards for a distance passing the 400 metres and when being restrained struck the sulky wheel of MISSY MACH which deflated as a consequence.
FRANCO NIXON - raced wide in the early stages.
MISSY MACH - sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 400 metres.
VERA'S DELIGHT - held up rounding the final bend until near the 200 metres.
ARTHUR LOWE - obliged to race wide from the 700 metres.
SENORITA MARGARITA - over-raced in the score up then was obliged to race wide in the early and middle stages. Over-raced for a distance passing the 1300 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres with a subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealing a poor recovery rate. Trainer K Barclay was advised that a veterinary clearance is required prior to SENORITA MARGARITA resuming.

FRANCO SAXON - hung outwards for a distance passing the 500 metres becoming awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of WAYWARD ROC. Held up near the 350 metres.
GLENISTHEBETTOR - raced wide in the early stages.
SCOTLYNN MACH - over-raced for a distance passing the 1200 metres.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - hung inwards and lost ground near the 1400 metres. Improved wide from the 1000 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had hung on numerous occasions during the running. Stewards will follow up the recovery with trainer D Simpson in the coming days.
 
Race 12NEXT RACE MEETING 6 JULY 2017 HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
SPLASH COLA - hung inwards and struck several track markers near the 300 metres.
PYRAMID MAGIC - trotted roughly and broke near the 500 metres.
JEN JACCKA - Driver T Williams reported that he had some difficulty steering the mare during the event which had placed him at a disadvantage.
LINDSAY CASTLETON - trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 2300 metres. Broke again briefly near the 1600 metres.
PEGASUS DREAM - inconvenienced by a breaking runner near the 2300 metres.
PYRAMID MONARCH - when questioned regarding the performance of this mare Driver R McIlwrick reported that with the impost of its 40 metre handicap the mare was then unable to quicken when asked for an effort due to the fast natured tempo that the race had been run at.
