General
1). Prior to the start of race 12 several track lights down the back straight malfunctioned and were rendered redundant due to power being unable to be restored to them. After assessing the visibility available at this part of the track and liaising with the drivers engaged, who were unanimous that safety to both participants and horses would not be compromised, the race started with a delay of 4 minutes.

Trainer A Armour has advised that following the gelding's disappointing performance at Invercargill on 10 June, LAUGHING CAVALIER will no longer race from his stable.

Race 1 - FORBURY PARK SPORTS BAR & BISTRO TROT
Trainer A Hoffman has advised Stewards that LANDORA'S LASSIE has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Forbury last week. Ms Hoffman added that in her opinion the 2700 metres distance was too tough for the filly and she will be restricted to shorter races in her immediate racing.

Race 4 - MORRISONS SADDLERY & FEED TROT
Trainer B White has informed Stewards that TROY CASTLETON had blood tests taken following its disappointing performance at Oamaru on Sunday with these showing no abnormalities. Mr White added that in his opinion the gelding has improved with the run and has worked well in preparation for its engagement at Forbury Park this Thursday.

GIRLZ N BOYZ - lay inwards when placed under pressure near the 150 metres becoming awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of TEHORO NOVA.
SHEEZAMONARCHY - broke briefly at the start due to being inconvenienced from its outside. Held up rounding the final bend.
CUDDLY TROUBLE - broke at the start shifting inwards inconveniencing the inside runner.
MISS COCO - trotted roughly throughout and was unable to maintain its position from the 700 metres.
TAIERI MISS - hung inwards and trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
SNOOP DOG - swung sideways as the start was effected and despite the efforts of Driver B Orange was unable to progress forward losing its chance with a warning being placed on the gelding.
PURE EMOTION - broke shortly after the start. Broke again near the 1700 metres losing its chance.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - raced in the parked position throughout prior to weakening from the 400 metres.
HENGROEN - trotted roughly and was inclined to lay inwards over the final stages. Unable to be driven out with any vigour.
SCARLETT LANE - inconvenienced at the start.

KENNINGTON GIRL - hung inwards during the score up and then slow through the early stages. Hung inwards and struck several track markers near the 1300 metres. Hung outwards near the 350 metres making contact with the sulky stay of another runner.
FLEUR GALLEON - held up in the early stages of the run home.
CAITLIN FRANCO - hung inwards and paced roughly at various stages throughout the running. Had to be steadied near the 350 metres when awkwardly positioned to the outside of KENNINGTON GIRL. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Williams expressed his disappointment with the mare's effort however could offer no tangible explanation. Caretaker trainer A Hoffman advised that given the mare's wide draw, she was not overly disappointed and advised the mare is better suited and races competitively when drawn favourably.
LADY'S LASS - inconvenienced during the score up. Driver T Robertson defended a Breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip outside the guidelines over the final 400 metres. After viewing the available video footage and hearing evidence from the Stewards and Mr Robertson, the JCA found the charge proved with Mr Robertson's horseman's licence suspended from the conclusion of racing on the 29th June (7 day deferment requested by Mr Robertson) up to and including the 13th July 2017 (2 days).
KAKA POINT CHRIS - paced roughly nearing the 600 metres when under pressure.
COOKY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground, with a warning being placed on its race record.

HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - raced keenly through the middle stages. Checked and broke rounding the final bend losing its chance.
ROYAL TRIBUTE - broke during the score up hampering several trailing runners with a false start being declared. Driver B Orange elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed against the colt's mobile barrier record.
LAUSANNE LASS - inconvenienced final bend.
MISTACULLECT - a warning was placed on its racing record after the gelding hung inwards and raced greenly rounding the final bend locking wheels with TRULY MYSTERIOUS and causing an inconvenience to LAUSANNE LASS and HIGHVIEW JUSTICE with the later breaking.
AZALEA - Stewards acceded to the request made by Driver D Dunn to remove the blinds for the restart after the mare became stirred up due to the recall.
TRENDY'S BAD GIRL - raced keenly through the running.
 
Race 4BLUFF PROTEIN LTD MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
PEGASUS KOMMANDER - inconvenienced by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
MARKIM - weakened from the 500 metres.
SON OF BRAHMA - held up by tiring runners rounding the final bend.
AMERICAN MAGIC - weakened from the 500 metres. Subjected to a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer M Brown advised that the gelding would be sent for a spell.
ILDIVO - raced keenly in the middle stages. Inclined to lay inwards through the early stages of the run home.

OCH AYE THE NOO - hung when racing round the bends. Hung inwards again when being improved outwards rounding the final bend.
MADISON JANE - displayed poor barrier manners causing the Driver of MIDNIGHT FEVER to vacate the sulky. Due to this the field was turned away to readdress the barrier. Held up briefly near the 600 metres by a tiring runner. Locked sulky stays momentarily when awkwardly placed to the inside of TROY CASTLETON. Driver P Williamson was cautioned to ensure his foot remains in the sulky footrest in future.
MIDNIGHT FEVER - broke shortly after the start.
TROY CASTLETON - had to be steadied briefly passing the 200 metres when awkwardly placed to the outside of MADISON JANE. Driver S McNally was cautioned to ensure sufficient room is available when attempting to improve between runners in future.
ELLA ABBE - raced wide in the early stages. Challenged for the lead from the 1600 metres before being restrained to take a trail nearing the 1350 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres with a subsequent Veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery with caretaker trainer P Williamson in the coming days.
THE GOD BOTHERER - broke at the start. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start events at the request of trainer N Munro.
FATAL REUNION - broke at the start.

TOP BRASS - tangled away. Held up over the final 150 metres.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - broke at the start. Paced roughly on the final bend then became held up for a short distance near the 250 metres. Hung inwards throughout the home straight.
NEWMANS JET - broke at the start.
REALLY DESIRABLE - broke at the start.
FRANCO NIXON- held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight until near the 150 metres.
OKAINS BAY - broke at the start. Driver N Williamson reported that he did not activate the removable gear applied on the mare.
GO GETTA - broke briefly at the start. Held up rounding the final bend until near the 200 metres.
 
Race 7PICK 6 STARTS NOW JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight.
HAPPY STYX - held up over the final stages of the run home.
WAYWARD ROC - Trainer T Stratford was charged a $25 colour fee. Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted outwards throughout the home straight. Driver M Anderson was cautioned to ensure he maintains a straight course in the home straight. Mr Anderson was further cautioned to ensure he proceeds to the marshalling point in the first instance when the 5 minute call is given.

JERRY FITZ - held up final bend.
VANHALEM - raced in the parked position then weakened exiting the final bend.
THE PERSUADER - held up final bend.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - claimed via ballot.
IT'S ALL OVER NOW - hung inwards exiting the final bend.
 
Race 9PINELEA FARM SPRINT SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
TAKITIMU EXPRESS - junior driver K Butt (with the assistance of J Cox) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that she used her whip outside the guidelines in the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Miss Butt's horsewoman's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 29th June (7 day deferment requested by Miss Butt) up to and including 7th July 2017 (4 days).
JETENARA - over-raced when being restrained in the early and middle stages.
SHE'S A FLYIN - raced keen early when being restrained.
DON'T PASS I'M FAST - broke when the left hopple broke near the 150 metres and continued to do so for the remainder of the event. Stewards inspected this gear and it was found to be in a previously satisfactory condition. An uncontested protest was lodged into the fourth place being awarded to this mare in that it had breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break at this stage of the race and as a consequence was disqualified by the JCA.
 
Race 10HANNAH CHRISTIE 21ST BIRTHDAY MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
PAY ME JIMMY - weakened from the 400 metres, with a subsequent post-race Veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery with trainer B Gray in the coming days.
THE NIGHT HAWK - paced roughly shortly after the start.
MACHIE MACH - raced wide in the early stages until being restrained to the rear to obtain cover near the 1600 metres.
INNOCENT ARTIST - raced keenly passing the 800 metres before improving four wide without cover racing down the back straight.
ART EXHIBIT - lay outwards through the early stages and again on several occasions throughout the running. Inconvenienced by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.

THABOYZ TOY - broke at the start losing ground.
JAKIRA - held up rounding the final bend until near the 200 metres.
LINDA'S CULLEN - broke shortly after the start and again near the 1800 metres.
SENORITA MARGARITA - breached the front line barrier strand resulting in the field being turned away to reassemble. Broke at the start.
 
Race 12NEXT RACE MEETING 29 JUNE 2017 HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - improved outwards near the 2200 metres obliging MOMENT OF SUN to race wider on the track briefly. Stewards viewed all available films to ascertain whether a breach of the Push Out Rule had occurred however it was established that PLAYBOY'S BROTHER had commenced its outwards movement and was racing one out from the running line prior to MOMENT OF SUN reaching its wheel. Raced keenly in front for a period when being challenged for the lead. Weakened from the 500 metres with a post-race Veterinary examination revealing no abnormalities.
FRENCH DESIRE - broke entering the first bend losing its chance.
MOMENT OF SUN - raced wider on the track for a brief period nearing the 2200 metres. Trotted roughly nearing the 2100 metres. Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead through the middle stages then raced lethargically thereafter and wasn't persevered with by Driver G Lee. When questioned regarding his tactics adopted through the middle stages when contesting for the lead, Mr Lee advised that after his initial challenge was unsuccessful MOMENT OF SUN began to race very lethargically and it was at this point he believed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation as it had done so in the past. Mr Lee further added that given this he elected to not persist with the mare any further. These comments were noted. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities with Mr Lee advising the Veterinarian that MOMENT OF SUN would now be spelled.
SPLASH COLA - broke at the start losing ground.
FEATHER BOYZ - held up rounding the final bend.
PYRAMID MAGIC - trotted in an uneven fashion over the final stages and was unable to be driven out with any vigour.
JAYCEEKAY - broke at the start losing its chance.
