Due to inclement weather, Mudguards were instructed to be worn from Race 3.

Trainer B Norman has advised Stewards that GO GETTA has recovered well and worked pleasingly since its disappointing performance at Invercargill last Saturday adding that a gear change has been effected for tonight's engagement at Forbury Park.

SHEEZAMONARCHY - began awkwardly.
NOBLE GAMBLE - broke when negotiating the first bend for a distance. A Protest was lodged into the third place being awarded to this mare alleging it had breached the provisions of Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations, in that it had broken stride in excess of over 150 metres during this stage of the race. The connections did not contest the Protest with the JCA disqualifying NOBLE GAMBLE.
LANDORA'S LASSIE - trotted roughly at various stages through the running. Hung inwards when trotting round the bends and weakened exiting the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance of this filly Driver B Orange could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with the recovery of this filly with Trainer A Hoffman in the coming days.
LORD ROYDON - subjected to a pre race Veterinary check and cleared to start. Raced keenly through the middle stages.Driver D Dunn was questioned regarding his driving tactics near the 1300 metres when electing to stay in a position on the fence. Driver Dunn advised he had been instructed to drive the gelding for one run due to the horse's tendency to over race when placed in the open. Trainer M House confirmed Mr Dunn's comments and further advised that the gelding would be driven in a similar manner if circumstances permit in the future.
TAIERI MISS - trotted roughly at various stages of the running.
SPUR ME ON GENTLY - trotted roughly through the early stages and broke at the 2200 metres. Continued to trot roughly and took no part in the event .
SNOOP DOG - broke when exiting the final bend.
 
Race 2BP FABRICATION MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - hung inwards severely throughout proving difficult for Driver N Williamson to steer and gave ground from the 700 metres finishing a distance from the winner. Stewards requested a post-race Veterinary check which revealed no obvious abnormalities with a warning being placed on its racing performance. Trainer B Norman advised the gelding would be sent for a spell.
LADY'S LASS - raced wide in the early and middle stages and over-raced when being restrained by Driver T Robertson in his attempt to gain cover.
IDEAL DENARIO - raced wide in the early stages.
 
Race 3GLOVER BLOCK AND BRICK PACEVideo  Video 
AKRIS - broke at the start. Held up rounding the final bend.
DEN'S LEGACY - the boring pole was removed prior to the start. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - broke at the start losing ground.
ASK YOURSELF - broke at the start losing ground with a warning being placed on this mare's barrier record.
STAR ATTACK - hung inward when racing round the bends. Commenced to tire from the 500 metres inconveniencing the trailing AKRIS.
ESSENCE OF EASTON - broke shortly after the start.
EASTON COASTER - broke at the start. Driver B Norman was cautioned for using his whip when the mare was not able to maintain or improve its position.
 
Race 4CALTEX CITY NORTH & ALLEY CANTINA MEXICAN RESTAURANT TROTVideo  Video 
HENGROEN - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver D Dunn advised that due to this he was not able to drive the gelding out with any vigour and therefore he elected not to activate the removable deafeners.
KING CASSIDY - trotted roughly rounding the final bend and broke near the 350 metres.
SCARLETT LANE - was slow to begin.
BOURBON AND DRY - broke passing the 2000 metres when leading. Over-raced in the middle stages. Broke at the 700 metres and again exiting the final bend.
 
Race 5GENERAL TYRES MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
PAY ME JIMMY - restrained at the start. Improved three wide with 1600 metres to run before receiving one-one cover nearing the 1300 metres. Driver B Barclay was questioned regarding his decision to stay in the running line on the back of NERVE OF STEEL ( B Williamson) nearing the 500 metres when the opportunity to improve three-wide in front of DACHY ( N Williamson) presented itself. Mr Barclay admitted in hindsight he would have been better placed to move in front of DACHY, however he indicated he believed NERVE OF STEEL was travelling well at this stage and would take him further into the race. Mr Barclay further added that as soon as DACHY had improved to where he was unable to come out NERVE OF STEEL had commenced to tire. After viewing all available films Stewards accepted Mr Barclay's explanation.
GO GETTA - hung outwards in the score up and was restrained through the early stages. Paced roughly exiting the bend near the 1200 metres and continued to hang outwards.
COURAGEOUS BECQUI - broke racing into the first bend and paced indifferently thereafter. When questioned regarding the performance of this filly, Driver D Dunn could offer no tangible explanation with the performance being noted. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 6PICK 6 STARTS NOW MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
AVEROSS FERRARI - was held up over the final stages.
LAST PARTY - paced roughly exiting the final bend and through the early stages of the run home.
TILLY PATRON - broke in the score up however was in position at dispatch. Driver A Milne was questioned regarding his actions in the home straight when appearing to drop his right foot from the Sulky footrest in close proximity to TILLY PATRON's hind leg. Mr Milne explained he was endeavouring to release the gelding's deafeners with his foot after being unsuccessful doing this with his hand earlier. After viewing all available films and taking into account Mr Milne's explanation the matter was taken no further other to advise Mr Milne he is expected to drive with his foot in the Sulky footrests at all times in future.
 
Race 7PINELEA FARM SPRINT SERIES (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
CELEBRITY EASTON - held up rounding the final bend.
MCKENZIE MARA - failed to race in a competitive fashion throughout. Trainer/Driver N Williamson advised he was disappointed and advised the mare would be going for a lengthy spell. The performance was noted.
ARTHUR LOWE - raced inside tracker markers rounding the final bend. Authorisation of fourth placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that this gelding had gained no advantage from this.
 
Race 8WARREN SEYB MEMORIAL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
URALLA SUE - was held up rounding the final bend.
VAN EVA - was held up rounding the final bend.
BOOSTER - over-raced through the middle stages.
ALEXY - paced roughly and broke clear of interference near the 350 metres.
STUNNIN VC - jostled with inside runner for a period entering the first bend. Driver R McIlwrick was cautioned for the manner in which he drove at this stage.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - held up rounding the final bend.
CHIEF KAPAI - jostled with outside runner entering the first bend.
 
Race 9JUST ESSENCE CATERING HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
DENN NEE NOSE BEST - began awkwardly. Driver M Purvis advised he had been unable to activate the removable deafeners on this mare due to the cord becoming entangled.
SHEER CLASS - slow in the early stages. Tired from the 500 metres. When questioned in regards to this, Driver B Barclay advised that the mare had failed to handle the rise in class.
OCH AYE THE NOO - began awkwardly. Was inclined to lay inwards and struggled to maintain its position with the field during the running.
MR MAJESTIC - broke passing the 750 metres losing its chance.
BOBBINS - slow to begin.
SPLASH COLA - trotted roughly through the early stages. Was inclined to hang inwards when negotiating the bends. Trotted roughly shortly after entering the home straight.
 
Race 10THE PARK EVENT & FUNCTION CENTRE MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
SIX DIAMONDS - raced keenly early. Driver B Williamson advised that the removable gear on this gelding failed to activate due to the cord breaking.
ROYAL JESTER - over-raced in the middle stages.
GANGNAM STYLE - raced keen throughout. Hung inwards and struck track markers on the final bend failing to finish the race off competitively. When questioned regarding this Driver N Williamson advised the gelding had choked down. Weakened over the concluding stages.
BALIUS - nearing the 350 metres the left side front hopple carrier broke with this in turn causing the gelding to trip and break losing its chance. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
FRANCO SAXON - Driver J Cox admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip outside the guidelines over the concluding 400 metres with the JCA suspending his horseman's licence from the conclusion of his pending suspension which ends at the Marlborough HRC meeting on the 25th June 2017 up to and including the Forbury Park TC's meeting on the 6th July 2017 (4 days).
 
Race 11FIREMECH CLAIMERS SERIES (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
NIC MAC WILLY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will now draw the unruly for future mobile starts. Raced keenly in the parked position and commenced to weaken from the 600 metres.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - Driver T Quate was advised to change his whip action.
ZAKSPATROL - over-raced through the middle stages. Stewards requested a post-race Veterinary examination which failed to detect any obvious abnormalities.
