MALABAR SPUR - shifted in under pressure early in the run home. Driver K Chittenden admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Passing Lane Regulation in that he allowed his mare to shift down into the passing lane early in the run home which denied the trailing THE HULK full access. The JCA imposed a suspension of his Horseman's licence of three days commencing from after today's meeting up and including the 25th of May 2017. | |

An investigation into the driving tactics of A Pyers prior to the 1000 metres when he shifted his gelding from the running line to a two wide position forcing COTTONWOOD to race wider on the track established that Driver A Pyers had done so for safety reasons as he felt the gelding was about to choke down. Stewards accepted his explanation however a warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record. | |
CAPTAIN KIRK - raced greenly down the back straight the first time when having to be restrained off the back of OCTOBER RUSH. | |
