Race 1 - CHRIS & PAULINE GARRICK HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS TROT
Trainer A Faulks has advised Stewards that blood tests taken from AVEROSS DON subsequent to its disappointing performance at Rangiora last Sunday have revealed no abnormalities. Mr Faulks was of the opinion that the horse may have been short of a run due to recent inclement weather and advised that it will return to trials before resuming.
Race 7 - DAWE CONTRACTING LTD RANGIORA CLASSIC (MOBILE)
Trainer T Butt has advised Stewards that blood tests taken from FIELD MARSHAL showed the horse to have a slightly elevated white cell count. In conjunction with this an endoscopy showed the horse to have a low grade lung infection. Mr Butt added the horse had recovered well however and it was the connections intention to continue forward with their Australian campaign feeling their runner would have derived considerable benefit from its fresh up run.
