Trainer D Taylor has advised Stewards that ARTICULIGHT has recovered well since its performance at Motukarara last weekend with Mr Taylor adding that driver M Jones indicated that the gelding was never comfortable in the existing track conditions.

Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TABS & TAVERN HAREWOOD TROT Video  Video 
ED WOOD - lay in and dislodged a marker peg near the 2100 metres. Broke with 450 metres to run losing all chance.
MAJESTIC MOMENT - trotted roughly through the final stages.
THIS WAY COMES - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
DON'T ROCK THE BOAT - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
SPURRED BY SUCCESS - broke near the 2100 metres after jumping a marker peg which had been dislodged but soon settled. Trotted roughly at various stages during the running.
IDLE MOOSE - broke under pressure in the middle stages of the run home. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
JIMS DRAGON - tired from the 800 metres. A post-race veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
WOODSTONE - broke at the start losing all chance.
GREENANWHITE - broke with 150 metres to run losing its chance.

DIE STANDING - slow over the early stages. Hung inwards under pressure and lost ground rounding the final bend. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
CAITLIN FRANCO - hung inwards rounding the first bend. Hung inwards again on the final bend pacing roughly losing ground.
CHROMOZONE - raced keenly through the middle stages.
GLENGARRY ROSE - lay in on the final turn. Held up throughout the run home.
LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN - Junior driver K Butt reported that the off side hopple shortener pin had failed to activate due to the release cord breaking.

QUAESTOR - broke shortly after the start. Broke again in the run home when at the rear.
GRAND PRINCESS - paced off the mark before settling into a trot. Broke briefly after approx 200 metres.
ONE OVER DA SKYE - hung inwards and trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
GIRLZ N BOYZ - hung inwards rounding the bends.
SHEER CLASS - checked and broke shortly after the start. Weakened on the final bend. Driver R Alfeld was spoken to in relation to his starting position when drawn unruly.
GAMBLING ON - broke at the start. Broke again nearing the 2100 metres losing its chance.
CRUSHER COLLINS - broke shortly after the start and soon settled.

OCEAN RIDGE - raced roughly and lost ground nearing the 300 metres.
BAILEY MAJOR - locked wheels with THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER in the early stages and had to steady. Improved three wide without cover down the back straight before weakening on the final turn.
THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER - locked wheels with BAILEY MAJOR in the early stages and had to steady. Inconvenienced rounding the final bend.
ALL U NEED IS FAITH - Junior driver M Anderson was cautioned for the manner in which he drove approaching the first turn which resulted in THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER being tightened down onto BAILEY MAJOR with these two runners locking wheels for some strides.
THE DEVILS OWN - raced three wide for the first 650 metres.
BETTOR SENSATION - broke nearing the 900 metres.
MACH SHARD - Trainer B Purdon issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the colt to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Improved three wide with cover racing down the back straight then briefly inconvenienced before improving four wide from the 400 metres.

NEARIS GREEN - held up rounding the final bend.
POWER SURGE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ERROL FINN - became fractious when called forward into line. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Had to be steadied rounding the final turn when NEARIS GREEN shifted ground to its inside.
THE HONEY BADGER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened over the final stages.
BUCKEYE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
DALNESS MAC - raced keenly through the middle stages.
RUN BOY RUN - raced three wide early.

UTMOST DELIGHT - paced roughly leaving the final bend.
TRENDY BROMAC - resented being restrained early when jamming its tail and going to kick before breaking and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier record.

REAL OBSESSION - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
BELLE OF BROOKLYN - displayed poor barrier manners. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Broke after 200 metres when leading and settled at the rear. Weakened final bend. Driver S Ottley advised they would be adding hopple shorteners to the filly's gear.
MIGHTY SANTANA - displayed poor barrier manners. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
NORTH CAROLINA - displayed poor barrier manners. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record.
SMOOTH N EASY - Driver R Houghton reported that he elected not to activate the hopple shorteners on the mare due to it pacing fluently. Mr Houghton was cautioned that in future he is to report such matters at the first available opportunity.
CORENA LEA - displayed poor barrier manners. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Raced erratically near the 900 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
HASHTAG - broke entering the first bend and settled at the rear. Lay in rounding the turn near the 1000 metres.
AWAYTOCULLECT - driver K Cox reported the gelding had been making a noise during the running. A post-race veterinary examination could find no obvious abnormalities. A post-race endoscopic examination was declined however the on course Veterinarian recommended to the connections that the examination be performed prior to it resuming.
FRANCO REBEL - over-raced middle stages.
 
Race 8 PEEK EXHIBITION MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
CHIVASION - Junior driver L Lester who declined assistance from a Senior Horseman, admitted using her whip excessively over the final 400 metres and after submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
ALL SETTLED DOWN - held up final turn and then had to shift ground to obtain clear running. Junior driver A Stewart advised the deafeners had not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
DUSKY EYRE - trotted roughly near the 900 metres. Gave ground rapidly from the 600 metres.
LIGHTWORKOFIT - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. Raced wide middle stages. Broke again near the 350 metres.
GOODTIME GAMBLE - failed to come up into position behind the mobile. After questioning Junior driver M Anderson a warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners. Raced wide middle stages. Broke nearing the 850 metres losing all chance.
BACARDI N COKE - Trainer P Robertson is to be interviewed in relation to the gelding being late onto the track. Raced wide middle stages.
 
Race 9 THANKS JANIS HARTLEY FOR MANY YEARS SERVICE PACE Video  Video 
HESTIA FRANCO - commenced to weaken from the 450 metres.
MIGHTY AMERICAN - broke at the start and veered out checking SWEET LORESS. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Held up until passing the 50 metres and as a result driver K Barron did not activate the sliding blinds.
SWEET LORESS - checked and lost ground after the start.
ALLISON STOKKE - held up middle stages of the run home.
HOTDIGGETTYCULLEN - raced in restricted room late in the run home.
ANIKA LINDENNY - lay in abruptly approaching the 1700 metres and had to be steadied. Over-raced while in the parked position in the middle stages.
