Race 1 NZ TROTTING NOEL TAYLOR HALL OF FAME HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
MUSCULUS - slow in the early stages. When questioned regarding the horse's performance Driver D. Dunn explained he had become positioned further back than he anticipated due to his slow beginning.
BK SUPERSTAR - broke passing the 1800 metres.
GINTARAS - broke a short distance after the start losing considerable ground.
ALTA VENETIA - broke at the start and lost all chance. This mare will now be drawn unruly from standing starts. A post-race veterinary examination showed the mare to be lame in the left hind with a clearance required prior to the resumption of racing.
BD KHAOSAN - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance Driver J. Cox explained this horse had not been entirely comfortable on its first attempt racing right handed but anticipated it would derive considerable benefit from the run.
ROYAL WILLIE - had a plate refitted at the start causing a delay.
YGRITTE - broke passing the 950 metres losing its chance.
GENTLEMAN SIR - raced roughly throughout the final straight and was unable to be fully extended by Driver D. Butcher.
WAR MACHINE - when questioned regarding the horse's performance, Trainer/Driver D. Balle explained the colt had trotted indifferently in the middle stages with him unable to improve his position in consequence. Mr Balle added his colt had recovered well over the final stages.
 
Race 2 MAGNESS BENROW MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ON THE RANTAN - hung inwards through the early stages. Crowded for racing room and shifted inwards near the 900 metres making contact with track markers.
STAR GALLERIA - over-raced in the middle stages.
ALPHA ROCK - taken forwards to race outside the leader near the 900 metres, hung inwards and broke losing its chance. When spoken to regarding this Driver D. Dunn advised he had difficulty steering his runner at this time. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
ALTA INTRIGUE - over-raced in the early stages. Hung inwards leaving the final bend and for a short distance became close to the sulky wheel of BET OUT OF ELL, having to be steadied.
LEWY RISK - weakened passing the 350 metres.
VASARI - held up on the final bend.

THE FOOT TAPPER - broke at the start. Over-raced in the middle stages. When spoken to regarding the horse's performance Driver D. Butt advised he was disappointed with its performance. Stewards will follow up with Trainer P. Nairn in the upcoming days.
PRINCESS MACKENDON - raced fiercely when being restrained to surrender the lead near the 2200 metres.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke rounding the first bend, breaking again passing the 1800 metres.
MOMENT OF TRUTH - trotted roughly throughout.
COMMANDER PARIS - broke rounding the first bend.
YAGUNNAKISSMEORNOT - hung outwards leaving the final bend and continued to do so throughout the final straight.
QUEVERT - broke at the start and shifted out momentarily locking sulky wheels with SUNSET PEAK which also broke for a distance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
SUNSET PEAK - checked a short distance after the start and lost its chance.
SCARRYMCLEARY - broke at the start.
 
Race 4 THE GREEN FAMILY HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
BAILEYS ROCK - broke at the start. Over-raced in the middle stages. Held up on the final bend.
BETTORS POCKET - broke at the start and settled quickly.
MR EUROMAN - broke at the start and shifted ground inwards crowding CASH N FLOW. Trainer/Driver T. Herlihy advised it would be his intention to restrict his gelding to mobile only racing. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
CASH N FLOW - crowded in the early stages and broke for several strides in consequence. Driver T. Williams reported he did not activate the gelding's deafeners.
THE ORANGE AGENT - backed away at the start losing considerable ground.
 
Race 5 LONE STAR RICCARTON SIRES STAKES 3YO TROTTERS CHAMPS MOBILE Video  Video 
BONNIE HIGHLANDER - hung in and broke near the 900 metres losing its chance.
SERTORIUS - a false start was declared when SERTORIUS broke in the score up causing interference to runners on the second row. Driver Z. Butcher elected to stay in his original position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MEGAMIND - inconvenienced approaching the 800 metres having to be steadied back towards the rear to avoid the breaking BONNIE HIGHLANDER.
ONE OVER DA STARS - inconvenienced near the 800 metres, broke passing the 700 metres losing its chance.
HEAVYWEIGHT HERO - was removed from the Unruly for upcoming mobile starts.
 
Race 6 WOODLANDS STUD CADUCEUS CLUB 2YO FILLIES CLASSIC MOB PACE Video  Video 
GOLD ORCHID - shifted inwards to race inside the marker line for approximately 60 metres in the run home and in doing so was able to shift around and then ahead of LADY CHATTO. Stewards lodged a Protest against 4th placing being awarded to GOLD ORCHID under Rule 869(7B) alleging the filly had gained an advantage by racing inside the track marker line. Trainer/Driver T. Herlihy did not contest the Protest and this runner was disqualified from the race. Mr Herlihy admitted an associated charge under Rule 869(7A)(b) in that he allowed his runner to race inside the track marker line. After considering submissions on penalty the J.C.A. imposed a $550 fine.
DONTSTOPBELIEVIN - Raced wide in the early stages until being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1700 metres. Over-raced and had to be heavily restrained between the 1200 metres and the 1000 metres and surrendering the parked position to an improving runner. Hung inwards strongly from this point onwards with Driver M. McKendry easing the filly out of the race. Driver M. McKendry reported this filly had objected to the pulling bit. Stable representative J. Dunn advised it was their intention to make changes to the horse's gear prior to resuming. A warning was placed on the filly's racing performance.
BETTOR JOY - Stewards spoke with Driver D. Dunn regarding the filly's performance with Mr Dunn advising the filly had raced under pressure over the last 800 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow recovery rate with blood tests being recommended.
EXCELLENT - weakened near the 600 metres. Driver T. Macfarlane was unable to offer any explanation for the filly's disappointing efforts. A post-race endoscopic examination revealed a mild respiratory infection.
HARMONY BLUE - hung inwards on the first bend. Inconvenienced near the 800 metres causing the filly to lose ground.
A LISTER - raced wide from the 1600 metres.

PAVAROTTI - weakened passing the 400 metres.

EYRE I COME - shifted inwards near the 1800 metres, briefly restricting the racing room of PRIME POWER. Driver B. Mangos was advised that in future it was expected that he take greater care when shifting ground.
PRIME POWER - broke for a short distance near the 1800 metres when positioned to the inside of EYRE I COME which was shifting inwards. Stewards questioned Driver T. Mitchell regarding this incident where Mr Mitchell explained that the gelding had trotted indifferently on a number of occasions which he attributed to the under check coming adrift soon after the start. He added that although he did have to steady his runner at this time, he did not attribute his gelding going off stride to the shift by EYRE I COME but more to the issues with his horse's gait and the gear coming adrift. Held up on the final bend.
GEE UP NEDDY - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
DARYL BOKO - held up on the final bend.
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN - broke at the start losing its chance.
KING DENNY - trotted roughly when under pressure for the final 800 metres.
BORDEAUX - raced wide for the final 1200 metres.
SUNNY RUBY - broke for a short distance in the score up.
WILMA'S MATE - improved wide near the 1300 metres to race outside the leader for the final 1000 metres.

LERATO - over-raced in the middle stages. Failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S. Phelan advised Stewards that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
STEP UP - failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver D. Butcher advised Stewards that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
AMERICAN EMPRESS - briefly crowded in the early stages and had to be steadied for a short distance.
BREAK DANCE - failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home. Stewards will speak with J Cox in the coming days regarding the manner he drove on the final bend.
WHITECLIFF CHAPEL - had to be steadied when placed in restricted room just prior to the winning post.

DONEGAL DAVY BOYD - held up throughout the run home. Driver D. Dunn reported he had not activated the deafeners.
WRANGLER - Trainer R. Dunn was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with sliding blinds which were not notified. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
NORTHVIEW HUSTLER - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
BIG MACH - unable to gain clear racing room throughout the run home.
COBRA BANNER - over-raced in the early stages.
