Race 1 JUST ESSENCE CATERING TROT Video  Video 
PEGASUS TIME - held up through the early stages of the home straight and when obtaining clear running near the 150 metres, trotted roughly.
BEAT THE HEAT - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
KIWI CRUSHER - improved to a three-wide position near the 900 metres.
IMRAN KHAN - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
MAJESTIC MAN - reared as the start was effected then broke for a distance. Hung inwards rounding the first bend and struck several track markers. Authorisation of first placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break over the early stages.
SHEEZAMONARCHY - broke when entering the first bend. Hung inwards in the early stages of the home straight.
IMPERIAL WHIZ - hampered after 100 metres. Gave ground from the 400 metres.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - broke at the start.
THE DOMINATOR - broke at the start and failed to settle for a distance.
 
Race 2 KIDZ KARTZ MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BOUND TO IMPRESS - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Hung inwards rounding the final bend. Steadied near the 200 metres.
OPAWA MACH - steadied near the 1850 metres when there was an easing of the pace in the one-out line. Raced wide over the final 800 metres. Driver K Cameron admitted a Breach of the Push Out Rule when forcing SARAH KATE to race wider on the track near the 1250 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Cameron's Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 April 2017 up to and including 21 April 2017 (2 days).
BENZ BUY - paced roughly during the score up, being slightly out of position at dispatch.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - steadied near the 1850 metres when there was an easing of the pace in the one-out line. A mudguard applied to this gelding's sulky broke passing the 1600 metres. Stewards inspected this gear and it was found to be in a satisfactory condition.
GO GETTA - hung outwards throughout. Hung outwards and paced roughly for a distance near the 700 metres. Paced roughly when placed under pressure over the final 150 metres.
SARAH KATE - steadied and shifted wider on the track when becoming awkwardly placed near the sulky wheel of OPAWA MACH when there was an easing of the pace. Forced to race four-wide for a distance near the 1250 metres when racing to the outside of OPAWA MACH (K Cameron).
RAKE - shifted outwards passing the 200 metres hampering BOUND TO IMPRESS. Driver C Ferguson was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
 
Race 3 FORBURY PARK BISTRO HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
A false start was declared due to the 40 metre barrier strand failing to release.
MADISON JANE - gave ground on the final bend.
TROUBLE GIERO - held up rounding the final bend and was denied clear racing room until shifting outwards near the 100 metres.
ITS ELVIS - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
OCH AYE THE NOO - hung inwards and trotted roughly rounding the first bend.
KOWHAI WHIZ - trotted roughly near the 300 metres. Held up in the early stages of the home straight then trotted roughly over the final 150 metres.
PYRAMID MAGIC - trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out.
 
Race 4 PINELEA FARM - STUNIN CULLEN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DELIGHTFUL DANI - raced keenly through the early and middles stages.
LAUSANNE LASS - improved wide from the 1100 metres.
REV ME UP - proved reluctant to move forward with the field in the score up and as a result was a considerable distance out of position. Warning placed against mobile barrier record.
PAY ME JIMMY - raced wide in the early stages until being improved forward to obtain the parked position near the 1500 metres. Compounded from the 450 metres and not persevered with from thereafter. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B Barclay could offer no tangible explanation, with a post-race veterinary examination revealing an elevated heart rate. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
SUNNIVUE BAD AS - broke during the score up hampering the trailing COOKY which broke as a consequence. Broke again as the start was effected. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile barrier events at the request of Trainer S Ashton.
A SMART EXCUSE - steadied for a short distance near the 600 metres when trailing a weakening runner. Locked wheels with another runner briefly near the 500 metres. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
AZTEC KING - hung inwards throughout the running. Hung inwards and struck several track markers rounding the bends near the 750 and 250 metres despite the efforts of Driver R McIlwrick. Warning placed against racing manners.
POSSENTE CAVALLO - locked wheels with another runner briefly near the 500 metres.
COOKY - broke during the score up when being steadied to avoid the breaking SUNNIVUE BAD AS. After questioning Driver J Cox and Starter W Ferguson, Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had been denied a fair start and acting under Rule 213(1)(j) the horse was declared a non-runner.
 
Race 5 NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES SIRES STAKES (HEAT 6) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ART COURAGE - weakened from the 400 metres.
PARTYON - when questioned regarding the performance, co-trainer/driver M Purdon advised that after being obliged to race in the parked position throughout coupled with the fast tempo of the race, this had impacted on the filly's ability to finish the race off as expected.
SEASWIFT JOY - Driver G Lee reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
 
Race 6 PINELEA FARM JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ROZZANO - over-raced for a distance passing the 1600 metres.
DELIGHTFUL JAY - raced wide in the early and middle stages until near the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 350 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, Driver R McIlwrick advised that after working hard in the early and middle stages this had taken its toll on the mare when placed under pressure.
SEDUCE ME - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start with a warning being placed against the mobile barrier record of this mare.
CULLER CODED - paced roughly during the score up.
TAHLIA FRANCO - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
PAT CAMPBELL - Trainer B Negus was issued a $25 colour fee.
LEAH MAC - broke in the score up and failed to settle losing its chance. Warning placed against mobile barrier record.
GLENBURN JOY - broke in the score up and was slightly out of position at dispatch. Forced wider on the track near the 1300 metres when racing to the outside of MANUKA VALLEY (M Anderson). Improved four-wide from the 800 metres then forced to a five-wide position near the 600 metres. Paced roughly near the 400 metres.
MANUKA VALLEY - raced wide from the 1200 metres. Driver M Anderson, who declined the assistance of a Senior Horseman admitted a Breach of the Push Out Rule when forcing GLENBURN JOY to race wider on the track near the 1300 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
 
Race 7 FORBURY PARK SPORTS BAR TROT Video  Video 
GORILLA PLAYBOY - proved fractious and reared prior to the start, being sent to the Unruly position by the Starter as a consequence. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts events.
MAJESTIC DE FENCE - broke shortly after the start.
DUCHESS GRACE - broke entering the first bend. Broke near the 1200 metres.
PRINCE GEORGE - broke shortly after the start. Broke on several occasions during the running.
HOLDON TOYASPURS - broke shortly after the start. Raced wide from the 900 metres then commenced to weaken from the 500 metres. Trainer M Prendergast was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when failing to fasten his chin strap during the preliminary. Trainer M Prendergast was issued a further Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when failing to affix the hind bandage applied on this gelding so as not to come adrift.
DENN NEE NOSE BEST - Trainer N Williamson was issued a $25 colour fee. Held up rounding the final bend until near the 200 metres.
ARMORI - broke at the start.
CUDDLY JESS - inconvenienced shortly after the start when forced to take evasive action to avoid a breaking runner. Inconvenienced entering the first bend. Held up rounding the final bend, then had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
MOKOSUN - broke at the start. Trotted roughly throughout the home straight.
 
Race 8 DUNEDIN HOLIDAY PARK & MOTEL HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
INDIE - weakened on the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver R May could offer no tangible explanation with a subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealing a slow recovery and an elevated heart rate. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to the mare resuming.
JERRY FITZ - broke at the start.
EL CAPITAN - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
BAKARI - hung inwards near the 2200 metres. Hung inwards final bend and struck several track markers.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - broke at the start.
 
Race 9 palaMOUNTAINS TROT Video  Video 
COPPERTONE LAD - broke when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
WESTAR BELLA - broke at the start. Held up throughout the home straight and was unable to be fully tested by Driver R May.
BET'S COMMANDO - broke at the start. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
NATIVES LASTING LOVE - broke at the start.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - hung inwards and broke near the 1900 metres.
WESTY BOYZ - broke entering the first bend.
BOURBON AND DRY - broke shortly after the start and was unable to be restrained to its correct gait throughout the running. Driver R McIlwrick advised the gelding had been striking his sulky wheels. Trainer M Denton was advised that the gelding must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
LARCH - broke at the start. Held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres.
SMOKEY MAC - broke after 100 metres.
WHATASISTA - broke rounding the first bend,
 
Race 10 THE PARK FUNCTION & EVENT CENTRE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
STUNNIN VC - raced keenly in the early and middle stages and near the 1000 metres had to be heavily restrained. Held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
TUSCALOOSA - raced wide in the early stages.
PEGASUS KOMMANDER - steadied momentarily near the 150 metres.
ALL BLING - raced wide in the early stages.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - raced three wide without cover from the 1300 metres.
MARTIN MCGUINNESS - held up for a short distance near the 150 metres.
ALEXY - over-raced for a distance passing the 1700 metres. Held up in the early stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres. Trainer/driver D O'Connell reported that he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners.
SWITCH ME ON - held up rounding the final bend.
SWEET AS - when questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised that the mare had received an economical run throughout and had benefited from the addition of sliding blinds.
 
Race 11 NEXT MEETING 20TH APRIL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BALIUS - broke in the score up necessitating a false start to be declared. Driver M Parker elected to remain in her allotted barrier position for the restart. Warning placed against mobile barrier record.
NEWMANS JET - over-raced in the middle stages.
SILVER DALE - late scratching at 9.30am acting on veterinary advice.
PEMBROOK IDEAL - when questioned regarding the performance, driver D Dunn advised that the filly had over-raced during the event which had taken its toll over the concluding stages when placed under pressure.
HIGHLAND REIGN - Driver J Cox was cautioned to ensure he makes a greater effort to maintain his barrier position until dispatch.
NIC MAC WILLY - over-raced in the middle stages.
