Trainer H Hunter has advised Stewards that x-rays taken of VIN SCULLY following its performance last weekend at Ascot Park have confirmed that the colt has a small fracture in a pedal bone.

Race 1 JUST ESSENCE CATERING TROT Video  Video 
PARADISE SPUR - trotted roughly when negotiating the first bend losing ground. Broke nearing the 1750 metres.
THEODOSIA - slow through the early stages. Inclined to lay inwards rounding the bends throughout. Broke near the 750 metres and again at the 450 metres.
SPECIAL PAT - trotted roughly in the early stages. Trotted roughly for a distance passing the 1200 metres. Commenced to weaken from the 600 metres then trotted roughly and broke when under pressure near the 500 metres.
REGAL ASSASSIN - broke near the 1700 metres.
 
Race 2 PINELEA FARM - JOHNY ROCK MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
A LISTER - shifted outwards when under pressure over the concluding stages and had to be straightened.
MONGOLIAN MARS - raced greenly when entering the bend near the 900 metres. Weakened on the final bend.
ELLAQUENCE - weakened on the final bend.
REV ME UP - paced roughly for a distance passing the 1000 metres. Struggled to maintain its position with the field from the 500 metres.

BENZ BUY - held up by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 500 metres.
BULLYS PRINCESS - commenced to weaken from the 500 metres.
NEWMANS JET - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Hung inwards near the 300 metres locking wheels briefly with another runner.
KAMWOOD KID - locked wheels with another runner near the 300 metres. Paced roughly over the final 100 metres and was unable to be driven out to full advantage by Driver D Dunn.
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - hung inwards rounding the bend near the 800 metres.
FINGER IN THE TILL - broke in the score up and as a result was out of position at dispatch. Warning placed on the mare's mobile barrier record. Broke again shortly after the start.
LIS AMORE - out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver M Williamson.
 
Race 4 DUNEDIN HOLIDAY PARK & MOTELS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CABALLO BLANCO - weakened from the final bend.
BOOMING JET - held up by a tiring runner on the final bend only obtaining clear racing room near the 200 metres.
ASK ME ART - paced roughly near the 200 metres, then shifted up the track for the remainder of the home straight.
TOP BRASS - commenced to weaken from the 400 metres.
ANNIE FITZ - broke in the score up failing to settle effectively losing its chance, with a warning being placed on the mare's mobile barrier record.
CAESAR ROCKS - weakened on the final bend.
 
Race 5 KIDZ KARTZ PACE Video  Video 
BOUND TO IMPRESS - held up rounding the final bend.
SEFTON HOOLIGAN - over-raced through the middle stages. Locked wheels with another runner rounding the final bend, having to be restrained for a distance.
DODGE PHOENIX - broke entering the first bend, shifting outwards and contacting the sulky of HIGHVIEW JUSTICE. Warning placed against the gelding's racing manners record. Trainer T McMillan advised that it would now be his intention to spell the gelding.
KEZZA'S LASS - locked wheels with another runner on the final bend and lost ground.
MIDNIGHT VC - refused to step away with the field with a warning being placed against the gelding's barrier record. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start engagements. Broke near the 1700 metres. Trainer A Malcolmson advised that it would be his intention to return the gelding to the workouts prior to its next start.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - checked when contacted by another runner entering the first bend and as a result sustained a punctured sulky tyre with the gelding being subsequently retired from the event.
ALL MONEY - paced roughly and lost ground through the early stages. Paced roughly over the final 700 metres when weakening. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver S Payne advised Stewards the filly had been striking a knee and was of the opinion she would derive benefit from tonight's experience.
AKRIS - broke at the start. Driver A Suddaby reported that the removable deafeners had failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
OKAINS BAY - broke briefly after 100 metres.
 
Race 6 FORBURY PARK SPORTS BAR & BISTRO TROT Video  Video 
CHEEKY PAT - broke near the 1900 metres.
NATIVES LASTING LOVE - hung inwards rounding the first bend.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - proved fractious prior to the start.
SCARLETT LANE - broke at the start losing considerable ground and effectively its chance.
HOLDON TOYASPURS - trotted roughly at various stages through the event.
KING KONE - weakened from the 400 metres.
WOT UP - trotted roughly near the 2300 metres. Raced lethargically through the middle stages losing contact with the field and eventually being pulled up from the event. When spoken to Driver B Orange advised that the mare had failed to respond to any of his urgings and could offer no explanation for this. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities. Caretaker Trainer D Simpson was advised the mare had been stood down pending a satisfactory trial. Mr Simpson informed Stewards that WOT UP would be returning to Trainer M Howard's Motukarara stable.
I'LDOITMYWAY - trotted roughly then broke near the 2250 metres.
 
Race 7 FREE & EASY AT FORBURY PARK 7TH APRIL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MADDISONS DESIRE - broke as the start was effected checking the trailing CHANGE IT, with a warning being placed on the filly's barrier record. Weakened on the final bend.
AUDI HARE - over-raced through the middle stages. Heavily restrained when held up near the 450 metres.
FIERY FERRET - paced roughly in the early stages.
BALIUS - raced wide in the early stages prior to obtaining the parked position near the 1800 metres. Over-raced through the middle stages.
CHANGE IT - checked shortly after the start then paced roughly for a short distance. Improved its position from the 1500 metres. Broke briefly nearing the 750 metres before weakening rapidly. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 8 THE PARK FUNCTION & EVENT CENTRE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - displayed poor barrier manners. Broke at the start. Trotted roughly and broke near the 250 metres.
BOURBON AND DRY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
GRACE LIGHTNING - displayed poor barrier manners and proved difficult to address the barrier tape. Commenced to weaken on the final bend.
DUSKY EYRE - inconvenienced near the 250 metres having to shift wider to avoid a breaking runner.
MR MAJESTIC - broke briefly approaching the first bend.
BEG HALL - broke entering the first bend losing ground.
ITS ELVIS - displayed poor barrier manners.
BOBBINS - stood on the mark as the start was effected. Broke shortly after the start. Broke again negotiating the first bend losing its chance. When questioned regarding this, Driver M Williamson advised the mare had become unsettled due to the horse to its immediate inside being disruptive. Mr Williamson further advised that they would assess the mare's racing future in the coming days.
OCH AYE THE NOO - displayed poor barrier manners.
 
Race 9 PINELEA FARM - TERROR TO LOVE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MR MIDNIGHT - held up when trailing a weakening runner near the 400 metres.
CULLER CODED - weakened from the 400 metres.
LANIKAI - hung throughout the score up despite the efforts of Driver J Cox and as a result was several lengths out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Paced roughly when improving its position near the 900 metres. Hung inwards from the 400 metres.
 
Race 10 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX CAYFORD CLAIMERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ALEXY - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight until near the 150 metres.
MILEHIGH MAGIC - raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
ELUSIVE FLIGHT - paced roughly shortly after the start.
EXPRESSO MARTINI - improved wide through the middle stages. Weakened rounding the final bend.
AYMAR - claimed from the event. Improved inside the tiring EXPRESSO MARTINI exiting the bend when insufficient room to do so existed. Stewards reviewed all available films and were satisfied that AYMAR had not gained an advantage through the actions of Mr Orange at this stage of the race. Subsequently, Mr Orange admitted that he permitted the mare to improve inwards resulting in his sulky protruding inside the marker line with the JCA imposing a fine of $150.00.
