After reserving their decision in relation to a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) against driver B Williamson (SIX DIAMONDS) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 900 metres, the JCA dismissed the charge.

Co-Trainer G Knight has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last week FIERY FERRET was found to be dehydrated. Mr Knight added that this has since been treated and the gelding will now continue with its current campaign.

Co-Trainer G Knight has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last week IDEALISTIC LASS was found to be dehydrated. Mr Knight added that this has since been treated and the mare will now continue with its current campaign.

Race 1 COLLINGWOOD FOODCENTRE TROT Video  Video 
AMBRO AMEIGO - proved fractious prior to the start then broke after 100 metres. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer K O'Connor.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke at the start and failed to settle losing considerable ground and effectively its chance in the event.
GALLEONS GLORY - broke at the start losing ground. Broke near the 1400 metres.
LOXI CLAIRBORNE - broke near the 300 metres. Authorisation of promoted 4th position was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking near the 300 metres.
PEGASUS HANOVER - broke when leading rounding the first bend failing to settle for a considerable distance. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(3) against 2nd placing being awarded to this gelding alleging it had breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking in excess of 150 metres rounding the first bend. Driver R McIlwrick representing connections elected not to contest the Protest, with PEGASUS HANOVER being duly disqualified by the JCA.
BET'S COMMANDO - broke in the early stages of the home straight and failed to settle for a distance. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(3) against promoted 4th placing being awarded to this filly alleging it breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. Driver B Williamson representing connections did not contest the Protest, with BET'S COMMANDO being duly disqualified by the JCA.
KING CASSIDY - Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(3) against promoted 3rd placing being awarded to this gelding alleging it breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. Driver D Dunn representing connections elected not to contest the Protest, with KING CASSIDY being duly disqualified by the JCA.
THE POWER BROKER - broke rounding the first bend. Broke near the 1500 metres.
SNOOP DOG - broke near the 1150 metres.
MR TASSLE - trotted roughly and broke near the 1100 metres.
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - broke briefly after 100 metres. Broke near the 450 metres.
NOVEMBER GUY - broke rounding the first bend.

BETTER GALLEON - paced roughly in the latter stages of the score up then broke over the early stages. Warning placed against racing manners record. Paced roughly and broke near the 1150 metres.
BRIDESDALE ROBYN - hung inwards and paced roughly during the score up being out of position at the dispatch. Inconvenienced near the 1000 metres.
STAY ABOARD - inconvenienced near the 1050 metres.
BARE KNUCKLE - paced roughly in the early stages. Driver M Anderson reported the filly had been inclined to strike the sulky footrests during the running.
JAMES BUTT - paced roughly for a distance near the 650 metres.
HAIL CHRISTIAN - hung outwards near the 1300 metres when over-racing, then, near the 1200 metres when being restrained to take a trailing position paced roughly and broke inconveniencing a trailing runner.
TRIROYALE BRIGADE - broke over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 4th placing being awarded to this gelding was withheld until Stewards were satisfied TRIROYALE BRIGADE had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking over the concluding stages.
VIN SCULLY - paced roughly and broke near the 900 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the left foreleg with connections advised a veterinary clearance will be required prior to VIN SCULLY racing next. Stewards will follow up the recovery with trainer H Hunter in the coming days.
 
Race 3 SADDLERY WAREHOUSE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
A false start was declared when the front line barrier strand failed to release inconveniencing several runners.
PYRAMID MUSTANG - proved fractious prior to the start and was subsequently sent to the Unruly position where it will remain for its upcoming standing start engagements. Reared as the tapes were released for the restart losing its chance.
TOPNOTCH EAGLE - failed to step away from its mark losing considerable ground and effectively its chance.
PURE EMOTION - broke at the start.
PHOEBE FLYER - broke entering the first bend when contacting the sulky wheel of EYRE'S A RAG DOLL which was forced inwards by DENN NEE NOSE BEST (E Swain) which in turn hung inwards despite the efforts of driver E Swain. Raced in restricted room near the 900 metres.
EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - trotted roughly and broke near the 1750 metres.
DENN NEE NOSE BEST - hung inwards entering the first bend despite the efforts of driver E Swain.
SCARLETT LANE - proved reluctant to step away from its mark despite the efforts of driver A Suddaby. Broke near the 1850 metres.
KO WRECTED - broke shortly after the start. Hung inwards entering the bend near the 900 metres placing another runner in restricted room.
MAKAREWA RUM - inconvenienced at the start. Broke rounding the first bend.
TAKENOPRISONERS - the Boring Pole was removed due to the gelding becoming fractious prior to the start. Hung inwards and struck several track markers near the 900 metres, and again passing the 400 metres. Broke near the 200 metres. Trainer/driver N Williamson reported that after removing the Boring Pole from the gelding due to its fractious nature it had proved difficult to steer throughout the event.
OVERCAST - Driver R McIlwrick reported he did not activate the removable deafeners on the mare due to having the field covered.
 
Race 4 ALL PURPOSE ENGINEERING/CLEAN-BIZ MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FIRST SON - lay inwards under pressure throughout the home straight.
TWO PLY - raced wide until near the 1200 metres.
MACH OF THE MAN - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Weakened from the 400 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Dunn reported that after racing wide through the early and middle stages the gelding was left without a finishing effort as a consequence.
ISOLA BELLA - raced wide in the early stages prior to being improved forward to obtain the parked position near the 1600 metres.
COMIC BOOK HERO - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight going to the line without being tested by driver C Faithful.
 
Race 5 FINAL TOUCH / BP NORTH ROAD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CAST A SHADOW - paced roughly when becoming awkwardly positioned behind another runner near the 350 metres.
LILAC FLASH - hung outwards rounding the final bend.
AZTEC KING - paced roughly entering the bend near the 900 metres.
CAPTAIN MANNERING - held up through the early stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
MATAI JETSTAR - broke and hung inwards during the score up hampering another runner necessitating starter Mr B Ward to declare a false start. Warning placed against mobile barrier record. Driver A Milne elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the restart. Hung inwards and paced roughly rounding the first bend.
AKRIS - underwent and passed a pre-race veterinary examination. Paced roughly during the score up before breaking shortly after the start. Warning placed against mobile barrier record.
BOOM TIME - paced roughly during the latter stages of the score up. Improved wide from the 700 metres.
 
Race 6 BARCLAY HARNESS RACING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GO GETTA - paced roughly in the early stages. Hung outwards when leading passing the 700 metres.
BATTLE MAC - hung inwards and paced roughly in the early stages. Hung inwards throughout the home straight. Driver R Swain reported that he had received a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
GUNSLINGER BROMAC - paced roughly and broke passing the 100 metres.
LITE PERCUSSION - over-raced in the early stages and had to be steadied entering the first bend when awkwardly placed to the inside of JUST WISH which hung inwards and made the bend awkwardly. Steadied for a short distance near the 1750 metres when becoming awkwardly positioned to the back of another runner with driver A Suddaby electing to shift the gelding wider on the track and into clear running. Weakened from the 500 metres.
JUST WISH - underwent and passed a pre-race veterinary examination. Hung inwards and made the first bend awkwardly.
BLAZER S - raced wide through the early and middle stages until near the 1050 metres.
PAY ME JIMMY - hung inwards rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
RAKE - held up from the 400 metres until obtaining clear racing room near the 150 metres.
MATAI VALOUR - steadied near the 100 metres when attempting a marginal run to the inside of BATTLE MAC.
 
Race 7 REGENT CAR & COMMERCIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SOUTHERN LIGHTS - hung outwards and paced roughly during the score up being several lengths out of position at dispatch. Warning placed on mobile barrier record.
ERIN JACCKA - when questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson reported that he had received an economical trip during the event, however when placed under pressure had proved disappointing.
EL CAPITAN - raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
GOTTA MINUTE - raced wide in the early stages.
AMERICAN MAGIC - paced roughly on numerous occasions throughout the running and was restrained out of the event by driver B Williamson near the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small wound to the right-fore fetlock which required treatment.
SIX DIAMONDS - held up rounding the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the home straight until being angled outwards passing the 50 metres to obtain clear running. Junior driver M Purvis (with the assistance of Senior horseman A Suddaby) admitted a breach of Rule 867 the particulars being that he drove with his foot removed from the sulky footrest for an excessive distance. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $100.
GRACE BURNS - raced wide from the 1100 metres.
 
Race 8 REGENT CARS UNDER $7990 AT CLYDE STREET MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GLENBURN JOY - held up when trailing a weakening runner near the 450 metres.
THABOYZ TOY - over-raced in the early stages. Locked wheels with ALL STAR MAGICIAN approaching the 800 metres losing considerable ground, eventually being pulled up in the event.
ARGYLE BEACH - raced wide in the early stages.
SAGWITCH - weakened from the 400 metres.
ALL STAR MAGICIAN - lay inwards when improving its position near the 800 metres and in consequence locked wheels with THABOYZ TOY losing considerable ground, eventually being pulled up in the event.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - raced wide from the 1100 metres.
BREAK DANCE - steadied for a distance passing the 1700 metres when there was an easing of the pace in the one out line. Improved wide through the middle stages.
TITANIUM - hampered near the 750 metres.
HAVINARAVUP - out of position at the dispatch despite the efforts of driver C Ferguson.
 
Race 9 REGENT SOUTH MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
VERA'S DELIGHT - out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of driver B McLellan.
PASS THE SPEIGHTS - over-raced when being restrained near the 1800 metres with the gelding continuing to over-race through the middle stages. .
ANOTHER WINDERMERE - commenced to weaken from the 700 metres. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson reported that despite having to work hard through the early stages to obtain a leading position, the gelding travelled comfortably during the middle stages until pressured near the 800 metres where in his opinion it had dropped the bit and lost interest. Mr Williamson added that he would not be persevering with the gelding as a racing proposition from his stable. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
PAY MASTER - raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover near the 1700 metres.
SWITCH ME ON - hung outwards and broke passing the 1800 metres, losing ground. Warning placed on racing manners record.
EL DINERO - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
STEIGER - improved wide from the 700 metres.
 
Race 10 AUTOSURE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
DELESTIC - weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted in the early stages when setting a substantial lead, trainer/driver N Williamson advised that the mare had stepped away from the start well then had commenced to over-race despite his efforts. Mr Williamson added that the mare can at times display unattractive tendencies and gallop when being restrained, and he was mindful of this. Mr Williamson further added that it would now be his intention to turn DELESTIC out for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a high heart rate and a slow recovery rate.
BOBBINS - held up in the early stages of the home straight and when shifting inwards in search of clear racing room near the 150 metres locked sulky wheels with PYRAMID MAGIC resulting in driver J Cox being unable to drive his horse out to the finish line.
SPOTLIGHT THE VALLEY - Junior driver M Anderson (with the assistance of Senior horseman N Williamson) admitted a breach of Rule 867 the particulars being that he drove with his foot removed from the sulky footrest for an excessive distance. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $100. Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the manner Junior driver M Anderson drove in the home straight.
PYRAMID MAGIC - trotted roughly in the early stages of the home straight. Locked sulky wheels with BOBBINS near the 150 metres.
FATHER CHRISTMAS - hung inwards entering the bend near the 500 metres.
 
Race 11 DEREK ORR AUTO REFINISHER/SOUTHLAND BATTERIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
HONOUR SCROLL - broke entering the first bend. with junior driver M Hurrell reporting the filly had felt indifferent in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
LADY'S LASS - weakened from the 400 metres.
FINGER IN THE TILL - raced in restricted room rounding the final bend striking several track markers.
GABBY'S DELIGHT - checked when unable to avoid a breaking runner near the 1200 metres.
CHAMPAGNE BROMAC - held up for a distance passing the 500 metres only obtaining clear racing room near the 200 metres.
MANDOLIN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Warning placed against mobile barrier record.
NEWMANS JET - steadied near the 1400 metres when crowded between PATANJALI and the breaking HONOUR SCROLL.
DELIGHTFUL DANI - lay inwards under pressure throughout the home straight.
