Trainer D Simpson has advised Stewards that blood tests taken from ALL BLING following its disappointing performance at Wingatui have revealed an infection which is being treated.

Race 1 WINTON'S TOP PUB MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
PURE EMOTION - trotted roughly for a distance rounding the first bend and had to be steadied. Trotted roughly and broke over the concluding stages.
PEGASUS HANOVER - lay outwards entering the home straight brushing sulky stays with JACCKA JOSH on several occasions.
JACCKA JOSH - shifted outwards passing the 900 metres striking the sulky wheel of PURE EMOTION and trotted roughly in consequence. Driver B Barclay was issued with a warning and advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Lay inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight brushing sulky stays with PEGASUS HANOVER on several occasions.
GALLEONS GLORY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground.
SNOOP DOG - trotted roughly through the early stages. Trotted roughly and broke near the 850 metres. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - trotted roughly throughout the score up being out of position at the dispatch as a result.
MADABOY - broke shortly after the start.
AMBRO AMEIGO - broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion losing considerable ground..
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - lay inwards under pressure through the early stages of the home straight and broke near the 100 metres losing its chance.
GIRLS NITE OUT - Trainer P Ellis was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 after presenting the mare with gear which had not been notified, namely blinds. Broke in the score up losing considerable ground and was retired from the event. Trainer P Ellis advised he would be reassessing the racing future of the mare.
 
Race 2 DRAKE PLUMBING & DRAINLAYING LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DELIGHT N GOLD - attempted to buck during the early stages of the score up however recovered to take up its allotted barrier position at dispatch. Held up rounding the final bend.
GUNSLINGER BROMAC - broke shortly after the start with a warning being placed against the gelding's mobile barrier record. Forced wider on the final bend.
CELEBRITY EASTON - paced roughly through the early stages. Raced wide through the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 900 metres. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
JOE BATTERS - slow in the early stages of the score up and was back off the Unruly position at the dispatch. Held up for a distance passing the 550 metres, then paced roughly when being steadied near the 350 metres. Held up further rounding the final bend until shifting outwards near the 250 metres to obtain clear running. Lay inwards when placed under pressure over the final 100 metres.
MATAI VALOUR - briefly held up near the 300 metres.

BRIDESDALE ROBYN - hung inwards and struck pylons rounding the final bend.
JAMES BUTT - hung inwards and paced roughly rounding the final bend.
VIN SCULLY - hung inwards throughout the score up and was out of position at the dispatch. Continued to hang inwards through the early and middle stages. Forced wider rounding the final bend.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a leading position near the 1000 metres.
SPEECH IS SILVER - paced roughly in the early stages. Paced roughly on a number of occasions when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 4 MORRIS CONTRACTING LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
JEREMY JONES - hung outwards and paced roughly throughout the score up being out of position at the dispatch as a consequence. Co-trainer G Lee advised the cord had become entangled in the hind hopple carrier placing him in some difficulty. Held up rounding the final bend until near the 250 metres.
COOKY - broke shortly after the start losing ground with this gelding being placed on the Unruly for its future starts at the request of trainer A Hoffman. Ms Hoffman advised that she would be making gear changes to the horse prior to resuming.
MY GEORGIE BOY - raced wide in the early stages.
MATAI JETSTAR - raced wide throughout.
LUCA BRASI - broke in the score up and failed to settle eventually being pulled up from the event. Warning placed against the gelding's mobile barrier record. Trainer H Hunter advised that it would be his intention to return the gelding to the trials prior to racing next.
BLAZER S - held up in the early stages of the home straight until passing the 150 metres.
DALI BREAD - hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight.
LITE PERCUSSION - commenced to over-race in the middle stages and nearing the 900 metres broke when becoming awkwardly positioned behind DALI BREAD. Warning placed on racing manners record.
 
Race 5 EARL DRAKE BUILDER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TWO PLY - held up throughout the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested by driver B McLellan.
CABALLO BLANCO - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room through the early and middles stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres.
BOLD RULER - raced wide in the early stages prior to obtaining the parked position near the 1000 metres.
ISOLA BELLA - raced wide in the early stages.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - held up throughout the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested by driver M Williamson.
ROCKING ROBYN - raced wide in the early and middle stages until near the 800 metres.
PEGASUS MERRILY - driver A Suddaby reported that the sliding blinds applied on the mare had broken during the score up. Stewards inspected this gear and found it to be in a satisfactory condition. Lay inwards through the early stages of the home straight.
RAPHOE - held up over the final 150 metres with driver J Cox reporting he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners on the gelding.
 
Race 6 OTAUTAU VETS LTD FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DELIGHTFUL DANI - over-raced in the middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
LIVING GLORY - connections advised the mare was sore on returning to the birdcage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg with connections advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to LIVING GLORY racing next.
TIZIANO - raced wide in the early stages prior to obtaining the lead near the 1000 metres.
FINAL EXCUSE - broke briefly in the score up and was out of position at the dispatch as a consequence. Paced roughly entering the first bend. Paced roughly when shifted wider on the track near the 700 metres.
KENNINGTON GIRL - checked over the concluding stages.
IDEAL BREEZE - paced roughly entering the first bend. Paced roughly for a short distance passing the 150 metres.
MISS FANDANGO - crowded and checked over the concluding stages when racing between IDEAL BREEZE (A Beck) which shifted outwards under pressure and VERA MAC (B McLellan) which hung inwards. After reviewing films Stewards could not apportion blame to any one horse or horseman therefore took no further action.
 
Race 7 TRANSPORT SERVICES LTD MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
LARCH - struck several track markers near the 250 metres. Driver A Suddaby was cautioned to make a better effort to ensure contact is not made with track markers in future.
PYRAMID MUSTANG - broke during the score up losing all chance.
EAGLE GALLEON - trotted roughly entering the first bend.
OVERCAST - trotted roughly through the early and middle stages of the home straight.
ZOEY'S GIFT - raced wide in the early stages until near the 950 metres.
SUNDONS WISH - raced greenly during the score up and broke as a consequence, losing ground. Trotted roughly and broke passing the 200 metres.
GRACE O'MALLEY - declared a late scratching at 11.15am acting on veterinary advice. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare racing next.
MOKOSUN - hung inwards and raced wide rounding the first bend. Trotted roughly and broke near the 600 metres.
 
Race 8 SOUTHERN VETERINARY CENTRE SOUTHERN BELLE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TACT ROUSEY - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
ART EXHIBIT - held up for clear racing room in the home straight. Locked sulky wheels with SIMPLE PLEASURE over the concluding stages.
LEAH MAC - driver K Barclay admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) the particulars being that she used her whip in an excessive manner over the final 400 metres. After viewing the films and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of her licence to drive from 26th March until 6th April inclusive (3 days).
ROXY DALE - raced wide in the early stages until near the 1000 metres.
PRECIOUS SARA - Trainers G & N Hope were charged a $25 Colour Fee. Paced roughly during the score up and through the early stages. Paced roughly and broke near the 250 metres losing its chance. Driver M Williamson reported that in his opinion the mare had been unsuited by the fast natured tempo that the race had been run at.
SIMPLE PLEASURE - lay inwards and locked sulky wheels with ART EXHIBIT over the concluding stages.
BETTOR ENFORCE - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 9 SOUTHLAND STANDARDBRED BREEDERS ASSN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ROYAL COUNSEL - over-raced during the score up and in the early stages. Weakened from the 500 metres.
SEASWIFT JOY - raced wide in the early stages.
EAMON MAGUIRE - crowded and steadied over the concluding stages when racing between SEASWIFT JOY (G Lee) and DELIGHTFUL MEMPHIS (B Orange) which lay inwards under pressure.
DELIGHTFUL MEMPHIS - Driver B Orange defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(4) & the Home Straight Regulations the particulars being that he failed to maintain a straight course in the home straight resulting in his horse shifting inwards and causing interference to EAMON MAGUIRE (D Dunn) over the concluding stages. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Mr Orange, Mr Dunn and the Stewards, the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200.

MELINA LOWE - raced wide throughout.
GRACE BURNS - broke passing the 900 metres when being shifted wider on the track by SIX DIAMONDS (B Williamson) losing ground.
JABALI - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
EL CAPITAN - paced roughly in the early stages.
SIX DIAMONDS - Driver B Williamson defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(b) the particulars being that he drove carelessly when he shifted his horse outwards near the 900 metres checking GRACE BURNS (A Suddaby) which broke as a result. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Mr B Williamson, Mr Suddaby, Mr N Williamson (MELINA LOWE) and the Stewards, the JCA reserved their decision.
