A GLASS OF TANQUERAY - Paced then broke at start losing all chance.
THE REV - Broke shortly after start losing all chance.
CASTLETONS SPUR - Broke after start and trailed field.
MASS DESTRUCTION - Driver B Hackett was cautioned in relation to his starting position. Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
DEMOISELLE - Weakened inside the 400 metres and contacted marker pegs.
SAFFRON CASTLETON - Stood on the mark when the barriers were released, and then broke before trailing the field throughout.

YOU'RELUCKYTOHAVEME - Raced 3 wide from the 1300 metres.
SPIRIT OF DELIGHT - Held up for clear racing room over the early and middle stages of the run home.
TYRCONNELL - Raced three wide for the first 700 metres. Gave ground quickly inside the 500 metres.
RUNCLE - Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
WYNBERG DELIGHT - Broke late in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Weakened out over the final stages.
JAMM KISS - Raced erratically in the score-up and was a length out of position at the start. Junior Driver N Purdon was warned to maintain his correct barrier position until despatch in the future.
MOSSDALE NIGEL - Held up for clear racing room until inside the 150 metres.

BETTOR BE SMOOTH - Broke in the score-up recovering to be several lengths out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
FATHER FRANK - Required sulky change delaying start by 2 minutes. Raced 3 wide for the first 1100 metres.
WILL DESIRE - Raced 3 wide for the first 700 metres. Held up final stages. Driver M McKendry advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
R GEE THREE - Raced in tight quarters inside of TWENTYNINE TWELVE when over-racing rounding the first bend. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly when shifting ground outward approaching the 400 metres.

DROVER'S EYRE - Amateur Driver S Wigg dropped her left foot briefly from the sulky foot-rest on the final turn when activating gear.
SHARDON'S PEARL - Raced one out outside the leader and gave ground final stages.
EXTREME GUEST - Held up for clear racing in the early stages of the run home.
ELLIOT DANIEL - No claims were lodged. Held up for clear racing in the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 5 GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
DONNA MAY - Driver M McKendry reported that he had been unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the release cord becoming entangled in the harness.
ITSNOWORNEVER - Broke passing the 1800 metres. Broke for a couple of strides with 70 metres to run.
DANKE - Broke for several strides shortly after the start settling quickly. Driver S McCaffrey was issued a warning in regard to half-carting rounding the bend passing the 900 metres.
DESERT STORM - Trotted unevenly in the initial stages and then broke approaching the first bend losing all chance.
COOL SON - Broke at the start veering inwards causing interference to PRECIOUS MOMENT. The gelding lost considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start barrier manners record.
PRECIOUS MOMENT - Badly checked at the start breaking losing considerable ground. Junior Driver R Argue was charged under Rule 869(2)(c) on the grounds that he used his whip outside the sulky confines in the run home when striking the near-side sulky wheel disc. Mr Argue admitted the breach and was fined $200 by the JCA.
 
Race 6 HARCOURTS TE AWAMUTU MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KEEP ON ROCKIN - Lay in badly and broke shortly after the start causing checks to trailing runners. A warning was placed on the colt's mobile barrier manners record. After catching the field during the running KEEP ON ROCKIN lay in rounding the final bend and weakened out.
VEDDY VEDDY GOOD - Gave ground badly inside the last 800 metres finishing well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. The gelding was stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SOMEWHEREINBROOKLYN - Driver D Butcher dropped a foot out of the sulky foot-rest briefly when activating gear passing the 1700 metres. Paced roughly passing the 1300 metres.
SKY DIAMOND - Trainer R Green was charged a $25 colour fee. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
R GEE BEE - Inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
RING THE TILL - Driver S Lawson dropped his foot from the sulky footrest briefly when activating gear passing the 200 metres.
 
Race 7 SEAN McCAFFREY FAREWELL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
RASCHKER - Broke late in the score-up losing considerable ground. The gelding was declared unruly for mobile starts.
RED MAGIC - Held up over the early stages of the run home.
PRIME LUSTRE - After settling in the trail behind the leader rounding the first bend the gelding was forced to race inside the marker line by JUDE'S GEM after the offside rein on that runner came adrift. Driver A Poutama then assisted JUDE'S GEM and Driver J Abernethy by taking hold of that runner's bridle for safety reasons with both horses being retired from the event.
JUDE'S GEM - The off-side rein came adrift passing the 1900 metres when improving forward to race one out without cover. Driver J Abernethy was obliged to steer the filly inwards to the inside of the marker line which resulted in PRIME LUSTRE being forced to that position also. The driver of PRIME LUSTRE then assisted JUDE'S GEM by taking hold of the horse's bridle for safety reasons with both runners being retired from the event. Trainer A Matthews admitted a charge under Rule 864(2)(d) in that she failed to ensure that the off-side rein was affixed so as not to come adrift. The JCA imposed a fine of $250.
FOUR STARZZZ SPECIAL - Broke in the score-up losing considerable ground. Stopped badly inside the final 700 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
DREAMY NIGHTS - Broke in the score-up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
KILKEEL LADY - Raced 3 wide from the 1400 metres. Checked for several strides near the 300 metres.
TAIHAPE SUNSET - Driver S Lawson was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground near the 300 metres.

JASPER SEVEN - Junior Driver D Ferguson was cautioned for contacting the marker peg at the entrance to the passing lane. In considering the matter Stewards were satisfied that no unfair advantage had been gained.
