Race 1 BRANCOTT ESTATE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
WYNBERG SALLY - weakened passing the 500 metres and lay inwards under pressure on the final bend.
MAX PHACTOR - inconvenienced near the 1400 metres and was shifted outwards to be taken forwards to lead. Inclined to lay in at various stages. Contacted several marker pegs on final turn.
RAPTORS FLIGHT - jumped shadows when leading on the bend near the 1400 metres and broke for a short distance. Attempted to jump shadows again on the bend near the 400 metres and had to be restrained. In consequence the gelding shifted inwards and dislodged several track markers. Held up late in the run home. When spoken to regarding the manners of his gelding Trainer B. Purdon advised that it was his intention to make corrective gear changes.
DELIGHTFUL IMAGE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the early stages of the run home.
WRANGLER - over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide from the 1400 metres. Trainer R Dunn advised the gelding had returned to its stall with some nasal discharge present and reported that it was his intention to have the gelding vetted this week and undertook to notify Stewards of any irregularity.
 
Race 2 COCA-COLA AMATIL NZ LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LEMOND - broke at the start settling midfield. Broke passing the 2300 metres losing further ground. The all clear was withheld until it was established this runner had complied with the breaking horse regulations.
DJOKOVIC - broke shortly after the start and continued on in a strong gallop for a considerable distance.
COMMANDER PARIS - had to be restrained over the final stages when placed in restricted room.
VALMAGNE - had to be restrained over the final stages when placed in restricted room.
THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSON - broke near the 1200 metres, settling at the rear. Trotted roughly passing the 300 metres having to be steadied.
QUEVERT - hung inwards through the middle stages. Lay inwards over the final stages.
PRIME POWER - trotted roughly near the 300 metres for a short distance. Had to be restrained over the final stages when placed in restricted room.
 
Race 3 BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS SERIES (HEAT 7) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ASHLEY LOCAZ - raced three wide the first 600 metres.
MAJOR THREAT - shifted in abruptly when passing the 100 metres.
BETTOR STEP ASIDE - steadied for a short distance passing the 100 metres when placed in restricted room.
SPANKEM - when questioned regarding the tactics adopted in the middle stages when remaining towards the rear of the field instead of improving his position, Driver M. Purdon explained it had been his intention to take up a more forward position, however, due to the colt's propensity to jump shadows he had been reluctant to improve without cover or to race in the open for any extended time.
 
Race 4 SIMS PACIFIC METALS NORTHERN TROTTING BREEDERS STAKES (HCP) Video  Video 
GINGER BERTHA - weakened near the 400 metres.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke entering the first turn losing ground. Held up on the final bend. The all clear was delayed until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
GIN - Trainers M. Wallis and B. Hackett were issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the mare without the notified sliding blinds. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SUNDOWN IN PARIS - broke for several strides at the start. Broke near the 750 metres losing ground before settling.
YAGUNNAKISSMEORNOT - hung throughout the middle stages. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance Driver J. Dunn explained he had been slightly disappointed with the mare's efforts over the final stages but attributed this to her being fresh up since 26th January 2017 and anticipated she would derive considerable benefit from the run.
IDLE BONES - slow in the early stages.
 
Race 5 WINGER MOTORS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DON DOMINGO - improved wide near the 900 metres, weakened on the final bend and carried a flat tyre over the final stages.
MONGOLIAN HERO - raced three wide for the first 500 metres. Raced keenly when being eased to take a trail near the 1300 metres.
ALTA LAS VEGAS - raced wide until near the 1300 metres, when taken forwards to race outside the leader.
JACK'S LEGEND - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. When racing keenly near the 300 metres became awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of DON DOMINGO making contact with the wheel and racing roughly for several strides.
TIGER THOMPSON - slow to follow the mobile but was in position prior to dispatch.
BILLY BADGER - got its head up and raced keenly for a short distance near the 1000 metres.
PACING MAJOR - raced four wide from the 800 metres.
 
Race 6 CROMBIE LOCKWOOD BLOODSTOCK YG SERIES (HEAT 6) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SHEER BLISS - broke entering the first turn and shifted up the track checking numerous runners to its outside and trailed the field. A warning was placed on the filly's racing record.
GOLD ORCHID - badly checked entering the first turn.
BETTOR JOY - checked and lost ground entering the first turn.
DONTSTOPBELIEVIN - checked and broke first bend losing ground. Placed in restricted room leaving the final bend pacing roughly for several strides in consequence.
REKLAW'S GEM - checked first bend losing ground.
SEA OF GOLD - checked, raced roughly and lost ground first bend. Hung inwards leaving the final bend crowding inside runner.
EYE CANDY - hung in under pressure on the final bend.
SPANDAU BALLET - checked and broke first bend losing ground.
BOUNTY LADY - checked first bend losing ground. Broke passing the 800 metres losing all chance.
 
Race 7 PASCOES THE JEWELLERS NORTHERN OAKS (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
AMERICAN EMPRESS - slow to begin. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
GOTTA GO DALI QUEEN - raced keenly through the middle stages and had to be heavily restrained when attempting to obtain cover near the 1700 metres. Gave ground from the 400 metres. Driver M. McKendry reported the filly to have choked down.
PARTYON - raced three wide for the first 600 metres before improving to lead.
DELISHKA - over-raced in the middle stages.
 
Race 8 LINCOLN FARMS 'THE FOUNDERS' 1700 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BETTOR SPIRITS - placed in restricted room and had to be steadied for a short distance leaving the final bend when runners either side shifted ground.
HEAVEN ROCKS - back from the unruly position at the start. Raced three wide early before improving around to lead near the 1100 metres.
MORE THE BETTER - driver and co-trainer M. Purdon reported it would be his intention to drive his colt with a sit should circumstances permit due to a substantial rise in the caliber of opposition. This information was made available publicly. Lay inwards leaving the final bend.
 
Race 9 CHARLES ROBERTS N.I.S.B.A. STAKES MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ROCKNROLL PRINCESS - tended to over-race during the middle stages.
KATE BLACK - lay inwards throughout the final straight. Commenced to pace roughly near the 600 metres and was taken up the track clear of the field. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance, Driver J. Dickie reported she had been striking a knee.
ECLIPSE ME - held up on the final bend.
CULLEN WHO - weakened leaving the final bend and then broke under pressure passing the 100 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B. Orange could only advise he was disappointed with her efforts. A post race veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. Stable representative B. Orange reported they would have blood taken in the coming days and undertook to notify Stewards of the results.

MAJESTIC GAL - broke passing the 1800 metres and settled midfield.
GENTLEMAN SIR - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SEXY REXY - broke approaching the 400 metres losing all chance.
