Driver R May has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington on 10 February, JACK HAMMER was found to have muscle soreness with the gelding now having a freshen up.

Trainer J Harrington has advised Stewards that blood tests taken from HEY YO following its disappointing performance at Addington on Friday night have revealed that the mare was suffering from dehydration which is now being treated. Mr Harrington added that HEY YO will now be given a brief freshener.

ELVIS P - broke near the 1250 metres.
FLYING DAN - broke at the start, a warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Shifted inwards and contacted the sulky of TEHORO NOVA. Trainer G Laing advised he will be making gear changes.
ZONED SCARLETT - broke shortly after the start.
IMRAN KHAN - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, trainer/driver C Butt reported the horse had been unsuited to the grass surface and had to work wide in the middle stages to take up a forwards position.
COSMIC SUN - inconvenienced at the 1200 metres. Lay outwards in the early stages of the run home. Trotted roughly with 100 metres remaining.
TEHORO NOVA - hampered shortly after the start by a breaking runner losing ground. Held up on the final bend and had difficulty obtaining clear racing room.
MOMENT OF KAOS - broke near the 1200 metres.
SCARLET BROMAC - raced wide early stages until near the 1600 metres when taken forwards to race outside the leader.

SHARKNADO - driver G Smith was issued with a $100 minor infringement notice for being late to arrive on course. Over-raced in the middle stages.
MASTER JORDY - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, driver J Young explained that the gelding would have been better suited to a more consistent tempo and had previously run its best races on rain affected tracks.
THOMAS DE LOUIS - raced greenly over the concluding stages.
CULLENZ DIAMOND - lay inwards in the early stages. Shifted out under pressure in the early stages of the run home.
BERAGIO - wide early stages. Broke near the 200 metres when disadvantaged behind a weakening runner.
GARRY'S LEGACY - held up on the final bend and the early stages of the run home.
CARBONADO - wide early stages. Weakened in the early stages of the run home.

RENEMAREE - broke at the start.
FEAR ROCKN - broke at the start.
SPINATALE - broke shortly after the start.
DYING TO SEE YOU - over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
SUPREME BANNER - driver T Williams reported that the gelding had over-raced throughout and contacted the sulky discs on a number of occasions.
TINTED BOYZ - raced roughly for a short distance near the 1400 metres when awkwardly positioned near the sulky of NADIA BAY when there was an easing of the pace. Tired from the 500 metres.

ROCKNPOP - shifted outwards near the 1850 metres causing ANNA KATE to be taken over extra ground. Driver C Ford admitted a breach of Rule 869(4)(6)(b) & (c) - Push Out Rule. After considering all relevant submissions Mr Ford had his horseman's license suspended up to and including the 5th March 2017 (4 days) by the JCA.
ANNA KATE - held up early stages of the run home. Taken wider near the 1850 metres having to be restrained to re-assume its position in the two wide line.
FREE BIRD - slow away at the start. Broke near the 1600 metres.
RUSTY I AM - improved wide in the middle stage to race outside the leader near the 600 metres. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination showed the mare to have an elevated heart rate. The connections advised they would have blood tests taken in the coming days and undertook to notify Stewards of any anomaly that may come to light that could help to explain the run.
TIJUANA TAXI - broke near the 2300 metres.

TOP BRASS - broke at the start. Raced fiercely in the middle stages.
ALANTIC - broke over the concluding stages. The connections were advised that a final warning would be placed on the gelding's racing record. Trainer D Ottley advised that the gelding would have one more start before having its racing future reassessed.
IT'S ALL OVER NOW - over-raced middle stages when positioned outside of the leader.
MICKY GEE - lay outwards in run home.
UNICO LEGEND - inconvenienced in the early stages and broke in consequence losing ground.
LILAC REIGN - fractious prior to the start, reared and swung outwards and took no part in the event. The all clear was withheld when driver J Young advised she wished to review the films as to whether she had been denied a fair start. After doing so the connections proceeded the matter no further. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. The connections advised that the mare will be restricted to mobile only start events.
MAN OF CHANGE - crowded in the early stages. Broke over the crossing near the 1300 metres and hung inwards, when doing so locking wheels with the improving EXTREME SPARK.
JULIA LADY - crowded in the early stages.
EXTREME SPARK - checked and locked wheels near the 1200 metres losing ground.
 
Race 6 LOCHIE & LARAINE MARSHALL'S 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TROT Video  Video 
MISSIE CASTLETON - raced keenly when leading in the middle stages. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance driver S McNally could only advise that he had been disappointed with the mare's efforts. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed that the mare was suffering from muscle tie-up. The Stewards will speak to trainer B White in the coming days in regard to the mare's recovery.
GIN RUMMY - when spoken to regarding the improved performance of the gelding trainer/driver I Cameron explained that the gelding has not had any luck in his last three starts and today's field represented a considerable drop in class to recent fields encountered.
LITTLE ROCKET - broke near the 200 metres.
RED HOT POKER - over-raced in the middle stages.
 
Race 7 TERROR TO LOVE AT PINELEA FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EIGHT DAYS A WEEK - broke near the 1600 metres and again on several occasions losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record. The connections advised the mare's future racing will only be on all weather surfaces.
CAITLIN FRANCO - raced roughly over the final stages.
TINTIN NATURALLY - raced roughly shortly after the start.
DON'T TELL ANGE - paced roughly shortly after the start then galloped for several strides. Raced wide throughout.
CRYSTAL SLIPPER - late scratching at 10.30 am on Veterinary advice.

AVEROSS DON - broke shortly after the start.
DI'Z LUCK - broke at the 500 metres. Again broke leaving the final bend. Trainer/driver G Smith advised it was his intention to apply half hopples to the filly's gear.
MEKONG PRINCESS - raced greenly over the concluding stages.
MUSCLES GALORE - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, driver T Williams could only advise that he had been disappointed with the gelding's efforts. Stewards will follow up in the coming days with trainer C & A Edmonds.
ENGHIEN - raced wide early stages. Trotted roughly near the 700 metres. Driver R May reported he did not activate the gelding's deafeners.
ONE OVER DA STARS - broke shortly after the start.

ANIKA LINDENNY - hung inwards and raced roughly in the early stages. Raced roughly near the 1450 metres. Broke near the 250 metres. Driver S Tomlinson advised that the mare had raced roughly throughout.
TAHLIA FRANCO - over-raced in the middle stages.
NOMATTERMEE - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
TUTOKO KID - hampered rounding the first bend. Lay inwards throughout.
JJ'S DELIGHT - broke after 100 metres. Raced wide in the early stages.
ILDIVO - inconvenienced near the 200 metres and had to shift ground outwards.
PERFECT CIRCLE - hung inwards in the score-up and was out of position at the start.
LAURAGRACE - checked shortly after the start losing ground.

FRANCO TMICK - shifted outwards under pressure leaving the final bend.
GIVEMATASTEOFKIWI - driver R Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that his whip had been used in an excessive manner. After considering submissions the JCA issued a fine of $300.
ERROL FINN - held up in the early stages of the run home.
BOBBY T - raced roughly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
BANZIE - broke over the concluding stages and shifted outwards.
CIMARRON - raced wide from the 800 metres.
OUTTA SIGHT - checked over the final stages.
BUZKIL - raced wide in early stages.
GOING TO CALIFORNIA - held up in the early stages of the run home.
MOTU SPEEDY STAR - broke in the score-up and was back slightly at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.

JOE THE HUNTER - weakened on the final bend.
CRACKABELLA - held up in the early stages of the run home.
CHAPTER ONE - weakened on the final bend.
STERNS ARISING - tired from the 700 metres. T Chmiel could only advise that he was disappointed with the gelding's efforts. Stewards will follow up with trainer T Neale in the coming days.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - raced wide in the early stages.
BOOMER BAILEY - raced wide in the early stages. Carried a flat tyre over the final stages.
FRANCO TEXAS - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Raced wide from the 1300 metres. Was eased out of the race passing the 600 metres. This horse was stood down pending the results of an endoscopic examination.
