Race 1 WILLY'S FLOORING / J D SOUNESS LTD TROT Video  Video 
JANUCCI GIRL - weakened from the 800 metres.
PURE EMOTION - broke at the start. Broke near the 500 metres.
MONIBURNS - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
JATO - broke shortly after the start. Broke near 1700 metres, shifting inwards and inconveniencing a trailing runner. Driver A Milne was cautioned to ensure that he takes his horse clear of the field when in a break.
MAKAREWA RUM - hung inwards rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver C Barron advised the gelding had trained well in the lead up to today and this combined with recent gear changes had led to the forward showing.
KIWI CRUSHER - broke shortly after the start and failed to settle losing considerable ground
DELESTIC - broke at the start. Broke rounding the first bend when being restrained.
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - trotted roughly after 100 metres. Hampered near the 1650 metres when improving on to the back of the breaking JATO. Driver G McEwan was cautioned regarding the manner he drove at this point.
SHE AINT NO ANGEL - trotted roughly through the early stages.

EL CAPITAN - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
BIG SMOKE - hung inwards throughout the score up. Driver A Milne admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) the particulars being that he used his whip in an excessive manner over the final 400 metres. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
GUNSLINGER BROMAC - paced roughly and broke rounding the first bend then continued to pace roughly through the early stages.
EVANGELINE FRANCO - steadied near the 250 metres when awkwardly placed to the inside of TED CADY.
DELIGHT N GOLD - raced wide in the early stages.
TED CADY - hung inwards and paced roughly entering the first bend. Driver B Williamson advised that he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
JOE BATTERS - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.

EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - broke at the start. Broke near the 1800 metres.
KO WRECTED - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
TOPNOTCH EAGLE - broke near the 250 metres.
OUR BUDD - trotted slowly in the early stages. Hung inwards through the middles stages. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and near the 300 metres broke losing its chance.
YGRITTE - declared a late scratching at 1:15pm due to transport difficulties.
WAY TO GO - trotted roughly in the early stages. Forced wider on the track near the 1300 metres when racing to the outside of THE GOD BOTHERER (C McDowell) which shifted outwards. After viewing replays and questioning driver B Barclay it was established that at the time THE GOD BOTHERER had commenced its movement outwards WAY TO GO was not progressing forward therefore no further action was deemed necessary.

KING KONE - held up briefly near the 300 metres.
EAGLE GALLEON - hung inwards and trotted roughly rounding the first bend.
PYRAMID MUSTANG - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
LUCKY PAT'S SON - trotted roughly rounding the first bend and near the 1700 metres hung inwards and broke.
HUSTLE HILL - broke near the 1700 metres.
SCARLETT LANE - inconvenienced near the 1700 metres when trailing a breaking runner.

DON SEBASTIAN - held up rounding the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres.
GLENBURN JOY - paced roughly in the latter stages of the score up.

TANGLED UP IN BLUE - held up over the final 200 metres and went to the line without being fully tested by driver D Dunn.
RAKAROVER - hampered shortly after the start.
GABBY'S DELIGHT - broke at the start and shortly after shifted inwards contacting the sulky of RAKAROVER. Warning placed on the mare's standing start record.
NAVAJO ART - lay inwards passing the 200 metres having to be straightened.
SOUTHBOUND TRAIN - raced roughly shortly after the start. Held up throughout the home straight with driver B Barclay advising that he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners.
VON RICHTHOFEN - broke at the start losing considerable ground.

IDEAL RON - paced roughly near the 350 metres.
COOKY - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner. Warning placed against racing manners record.
CAPTAIN MANNERING - inconvenienced passing the 400 metres.
MAGICAL MARN - hung inwards entering the bend near the 1400 metres. Paced roughly and broke passing the 400 metres with the near-side hopple loop breaking whilst in a gallop. Stewards inspected this gear and was found to be in a satisfactory condition.
JEMIMA FRANCO - held up rounding the final bend.
DELIGHT MY SOUL - raced wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room for a short distance passing the 100 metres.
MANUKA VALLEY - hampered shortly after the start. Improved wide through the middle stages.
 
Race 9 SOUTHLAND STANDARDBRED BREEDERS ASSN STHN BELLE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TACT ROUSEY - hampered and had to be steadied when awkwardly positioned behind LAYTONS LASS near the 300 metres.
DANCING IN THE DARK - driver M Purvis advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners on the mare due to the cord becoming entangled.
SHE'S A FLYIN - raced wide in the early stages. Driver M Anderson advised the mare had been striking the sulky discs during the running.
ART EXHIBIT - raced wide in the early stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
LAYTONS LASS - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres. Paced roughly near the 300 metres when between DANCING IN THE DARK (M Purvis) and SHE'S A FLYIN (M Anderson). After questioning drivers it was established that DANCING IN THE DARK had ducked inwards sharply when rounding the bend, simultaneous to SHE'S A FLYIN commencing an outwards shift. After viewing the films Stewards were satisfied no blame could be apportioned to any one horse or horseman and accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
AYMAR - held up throughout the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested by driver S Ottley.
SWEET AS - held up throughout the home straight and paced roughly over the concluding stages.
 
Race 10 MLT / PIONEER TAVERN HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
VENICE BEACH - swung sideways as the start was effected and bent the shaft of its sulky resulting in the filly being retired from the event. Warning placed on standing start manners.
MAN I'M GOOD - lay inwards rounding the final bend and had to be steadied when becoming awkwardly positioned near the sulky of GROOMSMAN.
FRANK THE TANK - held up rounding the final bend.
RONNOCO - broke at the start. Weakened from the 900 metres and was not persevered with thereafter. When questioned regarding the performance driver A Suddaby was unable to offer any tangible explanation, A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities other than an high respiratory rate. Warning placed on racing performance.
MACHIE MACH - raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover near the 2000 metres.
STATHAM - inconvenienced shortly after the start when trailing a breaking runner.

TWO PLY - held up in the early stages of the home straight until near the 150 metres.
NIGHTMARCH - out of position at the start. Driver A Milne was cautioned to ensure he maintains his barrier position until the dispatch point.
WESTERN DELIGHT - raced three-wide without cover in the early stages until near the 1600 metres.
NO MORE CHANGE - out of position at the start. Driver C Ferguson was cautioned to ensure he maintains his barrier position until the dispatch point. Held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
SPORTZSTAR - held up throughout the home straight with driver S Walkinshaw reporting he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the sliding blinds on the gelding.
ROYAL BENGAL - improved wide in the middle stages.
STEIGER - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight until near the 100 metres.
THE HIGH ROLLER - paced roughly when being angled wider on the track near the 1200 metres, then raced wide for a distance thereafter.
