BLAZER S - raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover near the 1800 metres.
KAKA POINT CHRIS - held up for a distance passing the 400 metres.

DENN NEE NOSE BEST - inconvenienced near the 600 metres when trailing the breaking EYRE'S A RAG DOLL.
EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - broke near the 600 metres.
OUR BUDD - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Inclined to lay inwards rounding the bends throughout, striking several pylons upon entering the home straight.
STARLIGHT INVASION - hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight.
BELMONT INVASION - broke after 100 metres. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start engagements at the request of trainer Mr O Lawrence.
FATHER CHRISTMAS - fractious prior to the start resulting in the gelding being out of position when the tapes were released.

HUNTER BROMAC - held up rounding the final bend until near the 150 metres.
ANSETT FLIGHT - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver P Hunter could offer no tangible explanation and expressed disappointment with the gelding's effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TWO PLY - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight, going to the line without being fully tested by driver B McLellan.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - the off-side blind was removed prior to the start after the gelding had warmed up unfavourably and had proved fractious at the starting point.
 
Race 4 REGENT CAR COURT FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SENORITA MARGARITA - hung outwards passing the winning post on the first occasion forcing KITURA which was established to its outside wider on the track and into the line of CLOCKWORK ORANGE(S Golding) which contacted that runners sulky wheel and broke. After viewing coverage of the incident and questioning drivers Stewards could not apportion blame to any sole driver, with a warning being placed against the racing manners record of SENORITA MARGARITA. Hung outwards through the early stages of the home straight.
CLOCKWORK ORANGE - contacted the sulky wheel of KITURA approaching the first bend when in restricted room, breaking and shifting outwards abruptly as a consequence.
GALLEONS PLEASURE - checked entering the first bend.
TIZIANO - raced three wide throughout.
KITURA - inconvenienced when forced wider on the track approaching the first bend.
DELISHKA - paced roughly rounding the final bend and on several occasions in the home straight.
VERA MAC - held up rounding the final bend.
DON'T PASS I'M FAST - held up through the early stages of the home straight until near the 150 metres.
 
Race 5 RYAL BUSH TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FOX GLACIER - paced roughly throughout the score up being a length out of position at the dispatch. Warning placed against mobile barrier record. Driver R McIlwrick reported the gelding had paced indifferently throughout the running.
SHELBY BROMAC - inconvenienced near the 1800 metres when locking sulky stays with THREE HUNDY. Raced greenly in the middle stages.
LE STAR - paced roughly rounding the first bend when being restrained.
BRING BACK BUCK - hung inwards in the score up and shortly after the start. Raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to obtain cover near the 1900 metres. Raced wide without cover over the final 900 metres.
THREE HUNDY - hung outwards when being restrained to take a trail near the 1800 metres contacting the sulky of the improving SHELBY BROMAC.
GRACE BURNS - lay inwards and paced roughly when placed under pressure passing the 100 metres, having to be steadied when awkwardly positioned to the outside of SHELBY BROMAC.
DELIGHT MY SOUL - held up and unable to obtain clear running over the final 500 metres going to the line without being tested by driver B Williamson.
BIG SMOKE - hung inwards on several occasions during the running.
 
Race 6 CHCH LOT 288 - DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GRIN FOR GOLD - out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of driver E Swain, inconveniencing the trailing YOUNG CONQUEROR. Trainer B Swain advised that he would no longer be persevering with the gelding as a racing proposition from his stable.
SPEEDY MACH - steadied entering the first bend when placed in restricted room to the outside of ARGYLE BEACH, contacting that runners sulky wheel.
ARGYLE BEACH - sustained a punctured tyre when shifting inwards entering the first bend placing SPEEDY MACH (M Williamson) in restricted room. Driver S Walkinshaw defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(b) the particulars being that he shifted inwards when not sufficiently clear of SPEEDY MACH resulting in the near-side sulky tyre of ARGYLE BEACH being punctured. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards and Mr Walkinshaw the JCA found the charge proved and after hearing submissions on penalty suspended Mr Walkinshaw's horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 29th of December until the 4th of January 2017 (2 days).
SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE - paced roughly and broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Warning placed on mobile barrier manners.
KEEPOVER - weakened inside the final 400 metres and was not persevered with over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
JOE BATTERS - paced roughly in the score up. Broke passing the 1800 metres.
 
Race 7 AON INSURANCE EQUINE STAKES (MARES MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
KAYTEEOH DENARIO - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room for the majority of the home straight.
DANCING IN THE DARK - driver M Purvis reported that one blind had malfunctioned when activating gear applied on this mare. This was found to be as a result of the cord becoming entangled.
TACT ROUSEY - over-raced when being restrained to a trailing position near the 1000 metres. Held up rounding the final bend.
ERIN JACCKA - paced roughly and broke as the start was effected. Warning placed on mobile barrier record.
AMAZON LILY - raced wide in the early stages prior to being improved to a leading position near the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 8 CENTRAL SOUTHLAND LODGE HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
SIMPLE PLEASURE - broke at the start. Held up rounding the final bend.
CULLENS AVENUE - broke at the start.
MAN I'M GOOD - broke at the start. Raced wide in the early stages before being improved to a leading position near the 1700 metres. Paced roughly rounding the final bend.
RIGHTEOUS BROTHER - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
TARTAN TRILOGY - broke at the start.
GROOMSMAN - over-raced for a distance passing the 1600 metres.
LAMBORNE ROAD - broke at the start.

SWITCH ME ON - weakened rounding the final bend.
CRIME SCENE - held up rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Barron could offer no tangible explanation and expressed disappointment with the effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
WANTED MAN - hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight.
SEASWIFT JOY - over-raced in the middle stages.
ROCKING ROBYN - raced wide in the early stages prior to progressing forward to the lead with 1600 metres to run.
FLUSHING MEADOWS - paced roughly and broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. Warning placed on mobile barrier record. Trainer/driver E Swain advised he would no longer be persevering with the mare as a racing proposition from his stable.
