Race 1 STAR BRAKES & TYRES/GO BUS AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHAL SHOCKED - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners. CHAL SHOCKED broke again after making contact with the wheel of the sulky of ZAKSPATROL going into a gallop losing its chance passing the 200 metres. An investigation established that CHAL SHOCKED had moved in as well as a marginal movement from ZAKSPATROL and no further action was deemed necessary. Locked wheels near the 100 metres when in a gallop.
ZAKSPATROL - there were no claims lodged. Was a length out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver D Blakemore
ELLIOT DANIEL - there were no claims lodged. Checked and locked wheels near the 100 metres losing its chance.
 
Race 2 WAIPA RACING CLUB HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
DAENERYS STORMBORN - held up early stages of the run home. Broke passing the 50 metres.
THE REV - broke shortly after the start and again inside the 1600 metres losing its chance.
FREULE HELINA S - weakened rounding the final bend and broke approaching the 250 metres.
APOLLO - broke shortly after the start.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
DANKE - checked by breaking runner approaching the 250 metres. Held up over the early and late stages of the run home.
SAPPHIRE CASTLETON - held up rounding the final bend shifting wide to get clear running over the early stages of the run home.
AWA CATHRINE - Driver D Moore was charged under Rule 869(4) and the Passing Lane Regulations when he allowed AWA CATHRINE to shift into the passing lane failing to allow DAENERYS STORMBORN full access. The charge was admitted and the JCA suspended his driver's licence upto and including 13/01/17 (3 days).
THANKS SHANE - broke for several strides at the start losing ground.
 
Race 3 TONY COOK GROUNDSPREAD/BOWERS & SON MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KELLANDA BABE - galloped in the score up prior to the start veered inside the marker line and collided with the inside running rail after which it took no serious part in the race. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier record. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained a puncture wound to its chest. KELLANDA BABE will be required to trial satisfactorily prior to resuming. Trainer S Phillips advised that the mare will not be persevered with as a racing proposition.
AMERICAN MARY - was a late scratching by the Stewards as it became fractious in the birdcage and failed to leave the area. Trainer D Iremonger advised that the mare is not being persevered with as a training or racing proposition. AMERICAN MARY is required to trial before resuming.
MCLEOD'S DAUGHTER - Driver S Lawson advised that he did not activate the sliding blinds.
 
Race 4 VIANDS BAKERY/ROAD HAULAGE TE AWAMUTU MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
RUNCLE - broke free of interference approaching the 1400 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
THE HAWKE - broke for several strides shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Broke again passing the 1600 metres after contacting the wheel of the sulky of MCDAKNIFE and continued in a gallop losing considerable ground. Driver S McCaffrey advised that the gelding was in tight quarters however was uncontrollable. A final warning was also placed on its racing manners record.
COBRA BANNER - Driver J MacKinnon advised that he did not activate the gear.
VIEWFIELD GNAT - broke prior to the start losing considerable ground. The gelding was declared unruly from mobile starts.
THUNDA DOWN UNDA - broke shortly after the start losing ground and broke again losing its chance passing the 600 metres. The gelding was stood down and must complete a satisfactory trial before resuming.

PRETTY FANTASTIC - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners.
GREY STOKE - broke at the start. Broke again passing the 1400 metres.
DESERT STORM - broke at the start.
O'DRISCOLL - broke at the start.
HARRY H - a minor infringement notice was issued and a $100 fine imposed on Trainer D Gale for presenting HARRY H without the notified half hopples. Broke at the start. Driver M McKendry was dislodged from the sulky when out of contention. St John's Ambulance staff examined Mr McKendry and advised that he was cleared to leave the course.
ACOUGARZSUN - broke shortly after the start checked by a breaking runner, galloped for a considerable distance. Broke again during middle stages.
THE SCRUFF - trotted roughly after becoming unbalanced travelling over the crossing. Broke again for several strides passing the 300 metres.
HIGHLAND STAR - broke passing the 1900 metres losing considerable ground. Galloped briefly passing the 900 metres.
SILVER STREAM - broke when racing in restricted room when just short of the winning post.
 
Race 6 RAY WHITE TE AWAMUTU/V E VETERINARY SERVICES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CUT THE CARDS - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
SEM'S DELIGHT - lay in at various stages of the event.
SLYSU - over raced when being restrained early and continued to over race in the middle stages.
TURNBULLS - over raced middle stages. Held up for clear running over the final stages of the run home.
 
Race 7 NIGEL PICTON/POWER FARMING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
THE C E O - paced roughly shortly after the start. Raced three wide for the first 600 metres before racing one outside the leader.
STARS DELIGHT - paced roughly late in the score up.
EVERYTHING - forced four wide inside the 1000 metres. Raced with the off side rein pole adrift. It was established that it came adrift prior to the start after skying its head.

JOANEDNOBETTOR - Driver J Dickie advised that the near side sulky footrest came adrift giving him a difficult drive.
SNOW RAKER - fractious at the start and was placed on the outside of the front line by the Starter. Held up rounding the final bend and late in the run home. This gelding was placed on the unruly position for future standing starts.
STUNIN BANNER - there were no claims lodged. Broke for a couple of strides at the start.
FRANCO LENNOX - slow away.

THEMAILMAN - broke shortly after the start impeding the progress of WAINGARO MARA which was checked to the rear of the field. THEMAILMAN failed to settle losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
CHRISSIE JET - shied away from the winning post 200 metres after the start bearing outwards contacting the sulky of IDEALISTIC unbalancing Driver A Poutama before causing interference to LUCKY JOHN and WASHINGTONS CHANCE both of these runners being checked into a break with other trailing runners taking evasive action. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
IDEALISTIC - checked 200 metres after the start by a galloping runner.
LUCKY JOHN - checked and broke 200 metres after the start by a galloping runner. Raced three wide from inside the 1200 metres.
WASHINGTONS CHANCE - checked and broke 200 metres after the start by a galloping runner.
HERE'S SHIFTY - took evasive action 200 metres after the start.
WAINGARO MARA - checked at start and again after 200 metres.
KATE JACKSON - took evasive action 200 metres after the start.
ACES N EIGHTS - held up rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.

THIS EXCUSE IS FINE - trailed leader and then shifted out inside the 400 metres. Held up rounding the bend and early in the run home. Held up again late in the run home. Junior Driver R Argue was charged under Rule 868(2) in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures approaching the 400 metres to ensure THIS EXCUSE IS FINE was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and or finishing place by electing to shift out off the back of ECLIPSE ME (Leader). The JCA opened and adjourned the hearing until 4.30pm on Friday 30 December 2016 at Cambridge Raceway.
ELDOLAR - lay in on numerous occasions.
SUNHAVEN BOSS - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
STAND SURE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground and its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
