Driver H Jerard (RAH DE RAH) was shown a replay and spoken to advisedly for the manner she drove during the running.

Race 4 - MISCO JOINERY CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
Trainer P Burrows has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington last weekend, blood tests taken from MACH'S TERMINATOR revealed some gut inflammation which has since been treated. Mr Burrows added that the gelding will race at Rangiora on Sunday providing this treatment is successful.

Trainer B Negus has notified Stewards that following its run at Motukarara on Sunday ZIMFANDEL has shown lameness in both hind legs with this now being treated.
Race 10 - COUNTRY FEASTS MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer G Hope has advised Stewards that BELLA JONES has recovered well since its disappointing performance at Motukarara last Sunday, putting that run down to the nature of the track. The mare won impressively at trials during the week in preparation for a resumption at Rangiora this weekend.

HIGHLAND REIGN - hung outwards in the early stages.
RAUKAPUKA RULER - driver N Purdon advised he did not activate the removable deafeners.
MYIDEALSON - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
AUGUSTA(AUS) - raced roughly and hung inwards in the score up being back slightly at the start. Restrained in the early stages to take a position one off the fence near the 1400 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver M Anderson advised that he had been very disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up the recovery of AUGUSTA(AUS) in the coming days.
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED - inconvenienced near the 1650 metres and had to be steadied. Briefly held up near the 200 metres.
QUITE IDEAL - shifted ground outwards leaving the final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.

NICKY ANEW - Trainer C Morrison was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 after presenting the gelding to race with blinds that were not notified.
LIMOSO - weakened final bend.
FIREY SU - hung outwards and raced greenly in the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Over-raced and hung outwards entering the back straight on the first occasion. Held up rounding the final bend.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - weakened final bend.
MY WEE MAN - raced wide in the early stages. Driver N McGrath was warned to ensure his whip remains within the confines of the sulky.
AVEROSS FERRARI - held up final bend.
OTHER WAY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier record.
WEBBY VANDERQUACK - weakened final bend.
PALEFACE SIOUX - late scratching at 10.00am on veterinary advice.
SMOLDERING ASHES - paced roughly near the 900 metres.

USAIN COLT - held up final bend.
VALOR LUSTRE - gave ground final bend.
MAVERICK - broke briefly entering the first bend. Driver J Curtin admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner from the 400 metres. After considering submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
ALTA ORLANDO - raced greenly for a distance passing the 1100 metres. Hung inwards passing the 100 metres.

WOODLEA SHAWN - held up final bend.
VINNY GAMBINI - gave ground final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver M Jones advised that the gelding had worked hard in the early stages however had been very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate. Trainer S Dolan advised that he would have blood tests taken in the coming days and would notify Stewards of the results.
PRETTY JANICE - held up rounding the final bend.
LETSGOTOTHEHOP - when questioned regarding the tactics he adopted passing the 1000 metres when electing not to improve three wide, driver J Curtin advised he was conscious of the horse over-racing at its most recent start when racing in the open and elected to attempt to receive cover into the race.
OHOKA JIMMY - held up final bend.
WANTED MAN - raced roughly in the score up and was back at the start.
HIS ROYAL HARNESS - was unable to maintain its position behind the mobile despite the efforts of driver L O'Reilly. Broke passing the 1400 metres. Trainer C McDowell was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 after a side carrier came adrift during the running.
REAZA GRUNTER - hung inwards leaving the final bend.

RUTHLESS SUCCESS - held up final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
MAJESTIC DE FENCE - broke at the start. Raced wide and without cover from the 1500 metres. Driver J Morrison reported the gelding lost a knee boot near the 1700 metres.
BK DAWN - broke after 150 metres.
JEAN SEBASTIEN - trotted roughly final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
MCLOVIN - broke entering the first bend.
FIRENZE - held up final bend.
KINGDOM COME - held up final bend.
DEVA JONES - broke after 150 metres. Gave ground from the 400 metres.
LITTLE MO - broke after 150 metres. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
SARAH PALIN - held up final bend.
DRAGON SUN - struck pylons racing into the first bend after being placed in restricted room. Had to be steadied near the 1950 metres after an easing of the pace. Broke near the 900 metres.
CONROCK - broke at the start. Gave ground from the 400 metres.
LIGHTWORKOFIT - broke at the start. Became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of DRAGON SUN near the 1950 metres after an easing of the pace and broke. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

HEY YO - held up in the home straight. Driver J Harrington advised the removable deafeners had not activated.
MASTER LAVROS - broke as the start was effected. Trotted roughly in the home straight. Authorisation of 1st placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
 
Race 7 PRODIGAL SEELSTER MARES SUMMER OF SPEED SERIES (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
EMILY BLUNT - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, co-trainer G Hope explained that the mare had worked hard at its last start which had taken its toll. He added that the mare had been able to capitalise on an economical run tonight.
SANS LE SOU - driver R Alfeld was shown a replay and warned for the manner he drove near the 1400 metres when shifting ground inwards.
GOING TO CALIFORNIA - weakened final bend.
ASHES TO WINGS - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare.
LAYTONS LASS - held up leaving the final bend. Held up late in the run home.
BLACK REGAL PRINCESS - had to steady near the 1400 metres when placed in restricted room.
 
Race 8 HILL LEE & SCOTT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TORRID BROMAC - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the entire's mobile barrier record.
BLADE - over-raced in the early and middle stages.
FRANCO TAI - over-raced early stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK - out of position at the start. Driver N Purdon was issued with a warning. Lost contact with the field for some distance near the 1700 metres,
DANA DUKE - driver M Hurrell, assisted by Senior Horseman C DeFilippi, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip excessively in the final 400 metres. After considering submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended M Hurrell's horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 December 2016 up to and including 23 December 2016 (2 days).

THE GOD BOTHERER - trotted roughly near the 500 metres and gave ground.
DONEGAL BETTORGRETCH - broke shortly after the start.
LOTHARIO - hung inwards rounding the final bend. Trotted roughly over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right front leg. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to the gelding resuming.
ALL STAR ANGUS - broke near the 1400 metres.

WOZNIACKI - held up rounding the final bend.
MILLWOOD DAISY - gave ground from the 400 metres.
JONTY JAMES - held up final bend.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT - raced keenly in the middle stages.
ZENA'S STAR - broke over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
CURLIMORE - held up near the 300 metres.
GUNPOWDER - raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend. Had to be steadied near the 50 metres after hanging outwards and becoming awkwardly placed close to the wheel of WOZNIACKI.
TUFFLITTLEROOSTER - held up final bend and throughout the home straight.
SHANTAHLIA ROMEO - had to be steadied near the 300 metres when becoming awkwardly placed near the sulky of SMACKWATER JACK.
