Race 1 - BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TABS & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE
T Woodward (DON PIERRE) was spoken to for the manner in which he shifted ground inwards racing into the first turn and advised that it was expected he show a greater level of care in future similar circumstances.

Race 6 - GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD FUTURITY CONSOLATION MOBILE PACE
Horseman R Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove LAKEISHA carelessly on the final bend when shifting inwards and making contact with the sulky wheel of NICKY'S LOGIC and then pylons causing his runner to break. After considering submissions on penalty Mr Holmes was fined the sum of $300.

Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TABS & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EJA PATRON - when spoken to regarding the gelding's improved performance, trainer B Mowbray reported he had removed the boring pole as the gelding had resented it at its last start causing it to race intractably and gallop. Mr Mowbray added EJA PATRON had also been able to take full advantage from the barrier one position.
LIVING LEGEND - hampered near the 700 metres losing ground. Weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the manner in which he drove upon entering the back straight near the 1900 metres when electing to shift out from the leader's back to race in the open, driver R Reekie stated that the gelding had raced best when allowed to roll along preferably in front however had not performed up to expectation when weakening over the final stages possibly due to not having backed up from its previous run on Thursday 8 December. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight pain in the off front suspensory.
HIGHLAND REIGN - checked and broke near the 750 metres. Driver C Negus was questioned regarding this incident as to whether she could have made a better effort to avoid the breaking DON PIERRE. Mrs Negus reported DON PIERRE had been obscured from her view due to several other runners shifting ground at this time and she had only sighted the horse after encouraging her mare outwards before immediately having to steady. After reviewing the films and considering her explanation, Stewards advised Mrs Negus it was their expectation she display a higher level of awareness and make a better effort to avoid galloping runners in future.
EARTHBOUND - shifted inwards on the first turn and made contact with the inside sulky wheel of LIVING LEGEND causing the gelding to gallop and lose its chance. Driver P Kleinhans was issued with a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he had been careless when shifting ground at this time. Mr Kleinhans admitted the breach and after considering all submissions was fined $300 by the JCA.
RED UNDER FIRE - out of position at the start. Driver J Fielding was issued with a warning. Raced wide in the early stages.
REAL SOUTH - driver A Edge reported the mare had cast a plate in the score up. Inconvenienced near the 800 metres by the breaking DON PIERRE losing ground in consequence.
JEMA JET - over-raced and hung inwards in the middle stages before being taken out three wide.
DON PIERRE - broke near the 800 metres losing considerable ground.
BLADE - out of position at the start. When spoken to regarding this, driver D Reardon reported they had unsuccessfully attempted to add a replacement tongue tie at the start causing him to be slow leaving the pre-race circle. Raced fiercely throughout. Eased down near the 900 metres. When questioned, driver D Reardon advised the gelding had choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
SWEET LORESS - carried a flat tyre for the final 1200 metres.
BETTOR BACKIM - taken wider near the 800 metres.
 
Race 2 SWITCHED ON CHRISTMAS STAKES (HANDICAP TROT) Video  Video 
YOUNG STRANGER - broke near the 300 metres and failed to settle.
STYLISH DUKE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
TWELVE MONKEYS - shifted out under pressure over the final stages.
HEY YO - driver J Harrington reported he did not activate the mare's deafeners.
GEE UP NEDDY - broke entering the first turn and settled at the rear. Broke again approaching the 400 metres losing all chance.
 
Race 3 QEII COLLISION REPAIRS EASTSIDE GOLD NUGGETS (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
DREAMY DAMIEN - broke late in the score up and lost ground. A warning was placed on the entire's barrier record. Raced roughly near the 150 metres.
SCOTLYNN MACH - over-raced during the middle stages when at the rear.
EXPRESSIVE VICTOR - weakened final stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, driver B Orange could only advise he had been disappointed with its efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. The connections advised it was their intention to reconsider the racing future of their mare.
MR MEDDLE - held up on the final turn.
 
Race 4 MISCO JOINERY CLASSIC MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SHANTAHLIA ROMEO - broke late in the score up and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Hung inwards through the middle stages. When being shifted outwards near the 1000 metres made contact with the sulky wheel of SANS LE SOU. Stewards spoke with driver J Keast regarding this who advised that he had considerable difficulty steering the gelding leading up to the incident and when attempting to shift outwards. In assessing the incident Stewards accepted the racing manners of SHANTAHLIA ROMEO were a contributing factor however advised Mr Keast it is expected he exercise greater care when shifting ground in future. Mr Keast was also spoken to regarding his use of the whip on the final bend.
AVEROSS BRACHOLE - gave ground over the final stages.
MACH'S TERMINATOR - when spoken to regarding the performance of the gelding, driver G Smith reported the horse had travelled lethargically throughout and he had been disappointed with its efforts over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer P Burrows in the coming days.
CIMARRON - held up final bend.
CHRISTOPHER BANNER - held up for clear running until passing the 100 metres.
SANS LE SOU - carried a flat tyre from the 1000 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - was back off the mobile in the score up and was marginally back at dispatch.

CULLEY BACKY - slow to begin. Hung inwards final bend.
JUST BEN - broke at the start and settled towards the rear.
AUDI HARE - slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. Sustained a flat tyre during the running.
KARDESLER - began awkwardly and shifted inwards at the start. Raced three wide in the early stages.
ASK ME ART - held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear running. Driver J Curtin reported he had not activated the gelding's deafeners.
 
Race 6 JPM CONTRACTING STAKES MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
BEAR'S REST - raced roughly and was out of position at the start.
MOTU GREAT SENSATION - raced three wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1100 metres.
LITTLE ROCKET - back from its position throughout the score up. Driver R Rennie was issued with a warning. Broke over the final stages.
LITTLE MO - held up final turn.
COCKTAIL WAITER - lay in and dislodged a marker peg near the 300 metres.
THE FOX - trotted roughly under pressure on the final bend.
 
Race 7 ANGUS CEILINGS LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DISTINCTIVE DEL - briefly hampered near the 150 metres when crowded to the inside of the hanging ICE CRUSHER.
GUCCI CAVALLO - hung in and raced roughly under pressure over the final stages.
MIGHTY EMPIRE - raced three wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.
ICE CRUSHER - raced fiercely in the score up and in consequence paced roughly for several strides. Over-raced when leading throughout. Driver L McKay reported the filly had hung in the middle stages.
LETSPENDANITETOGETHA - raced three wide in the early stages.
 
Race 8 DIAMOND CREEK FARM MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LORRETTA FRANCO - raced in restricted room over the final stages. The all clear was delayed until Stewards had spoken with driver C Thornley who advised although his sulky had been contacted by the sulky of LYDIA KO he felt his mare had shifted outwards and contributed to any crowding. He added that at no stage was he unable to drive his mare out and did not wish to lodge any objection.
DIXIE PEACH - lay in and contacted a marker peg on the final turn.
ROCKON STYX - lay inwards leaving the final bend.
LYDIA KO - lay inwards throughout the final straight.
