Starter W Ferguson was shown the films pertaining to Race 6 and in regards to the starting positions of several runners.

Trainer J Gameson has advised Stewards that SAUCHIEHALL has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last week. Mr Gameson stated that in his opinion SAUCHIEHALL was not suited to being taken on in front during the race adding that the mare will most likely return to workouts before resuming.

Race 1 RICOH FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TRENDY'S BAD GIRL - Over-raced throughout with Driver B Barclay advising that this had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
MISS PATRIOT - Hung inwards when negotiating the first bend before breaking briefly entering the back straight on the first occasion. Continued to hang with the filly pacing roughly on a number of occasions throughout the event. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the filly with trainer P Kerr in the coming days.
 
Race 2 EDGAR CENTRE PACE Video  Video 
PASSION FLOWER - Veered outwards as the start was effected. Held up on the final bend.
BUFFY BAY - Hung inwards momentarily entering home straight.
MILLWOOD CHARITY - Raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres and hung inwards severely rounding the bends from this point. Weakened in the final stages. Trainer M Prendergast advised that only one hopple shortener had activated.
ESSENCE OF EASTON - Raced roughly entering first bend. Hung inwards when being improved outwards exiting final bend.
CELEBRITY EASTON - Broke at the start.
ZULU COURAGE - Tired rapidly from the 500 metres and finished a distance from the winner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
HOLD ON ARIZONA - Momentarily placed in restricted room in the home straight having to be steadied.
 
Race 3 IAN LITTLE BUILDERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
IT'S A DEAL - Tired on the final bend.
MACANDREW MAJIC - Broke free of interference at the 1450 metres and was retired from the event. The gelding was treated by the on course veterinary surgeon for a suspected fractured pastern and is stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Stewards will follow up with trainer T Stratford in the coming days.
MYNANASGOTNOTEETH - Out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver C Ferguson.
SCOTLYNN HARRY - Out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver J Young.
GREEN MACHINE - Hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. Tired from the 1200 metres. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver J Ovens advised they would be making gear changes prior to resuming and a warning was placed on its performance.
HI DELIGHT - Paced roughly in the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.
 
Race 4 VIV ANNGOW MEMORIAL TROT Video  Video 
BARHAM BELLE - Broke when being restrained to take the trail near the 1800 metres losing its chance.
MONARCHY INVASION - Inconvenienced nearing the 1800 metres by breaking runner. Broke momentarily 1700 metres. Broke again entering home straight.
BELMONT INVASION - Broke passing the 170 metres.
DANIELLE AMORE - Broke passing the 170 metres before settling and breaking again shortly after.
LUCKY PAT'S SON - Trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be driven out with any significant vigour.
 
Race 5 RICOH JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SEDUCE ME - Held up rounding the final bend.
DANNY DEL VITO - Broke in the score up settling last with a warning placed on its barrier manners. Broke again near the 450 metres when placed in restricted room to the inside of SOAPBOX (S Tomlinson) which shifted inwards.
REALLY DESIRABLE - Improved inwards shortly after the start crowding the racing line of MCKENZIE MARA. Junior Driver J Campbell, in the presence of Senior Driver C Ferguson, was shown the films and cautioned for the manner in which he drove in this race. Mr Campbell admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner with the JCA imposing a fine of $250.
SOAPBOX - Placed DANNY DEL VITO in restricted room near the 450 metres causing this gelding to break. Driver S Tomlinson in the presence of Senior Horseman M Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) the particulars being that she permitted her horse to shift inwards when not sufficiently clear with the JCA imposing a fine of $250.00.
PAT CAMPBELL - Late scratching at 5.30pm on veterinary advice.
THE PERSUADER - Steadied after 100 metres when placed in restricted room.
 
Race 6 ONE OVER DA MOON HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
POPPA DON - Broke shortly after the start. Trotted roughly negotiating the first bend.
BONO HEST - Trotted roughly through the early stages.
HEARD THE WHISPER - Broke shortly after the start and wasn't persevered with.
Dividends were withheld until Stewards had been afforded the opportunity to view the back straight films in relation to the starting position of several runners. After viewing this footage, Stewards were satisfied that no horses had been denied a fair start and the all clear was given.
 
Race 7 FRANKTON ARM PUNTERS' MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EASTBURN MARA - Over-raced through the early stages.
JOE THE HUNTER - Weakened considerably from the 700 metres.
JERRY FITZ - Held up behind the tiring JOE THE HUNTER from the 700 metres. Junior Driver G Crawford, in the presence of her employer G Knight, was shown the video footage in relation to the manner in which she drove at this stage of the race. Miss Crawford was advised that should she be trailing a tiring runner in future, it would be expected that she display better judgment should similar circumstances arise. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful of the inexperience of Miss Crawford.
 
Race 8 CROWE HORWATH & MIKE HURRING LOGGING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FASTROUNDTOWN - Placed GOTTA CLASSIE GIRL in restricted room checking this runner entering the first bend. Gave ground from the 500 metres. Driver J Ovens admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly entering the first bend with the JCA imposing a fine of $400.00.
QUICK NICK - Inconvenienced first bend.
FIERY FERRET - Inconvenienced first bend.
SPIRIT OF CHRONOS - Inconvenienced first bend.
CHIEF KAPAI - Inconvenienced first bend.
MILLWOOD DAISY - Late scratched at 7.44am with vet certificate provided.
GOTTA CLASSIE GIRL - Severely checked entering the first bend. Gave ground from the 600 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
