GEORGE - Trainer T. Macfarlane advised that the post-race veterinary examination on GEORGE revealed that it had sustained a fracture of the wing of the near fore pedal bone.

THE BUS - late scratched at 5.16 pm after the colt jumped shadows during its preliminary and again when tried with a shadow roll. THE BUS was scratched for safety reasons.
LAGARTO - raced greenly in the score up and tangled for a stride being two lengths out of position at the start. Raced greenly rounding the final bend, veering outwards entering the straight.
THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER - inclined to lay out rounding the home bend and shift ground outward during the course of the run home.
BETTOR B ABELIEVER - paced roughly rounding the final bend and again late in the run home.

BEACON HILL - no claims lodged.
WHALE RIDER - Horseman S. Phelan advised he did not activate the deafeners.
TOOT TOOT - held up throughout the run home.
THE LONE RANGER - raced four wide, improving between the 1800 metres and the 1500 metres. Broke free of interference passing the 900 metres when sitting outside the leader. A warning was placed on the colt's racing manners record. Driver A. Herlihy could offer no reason.
THIS EXCUSE IS FINE - Junior Driver R. Argue was shown the video coverage of his drive at the 1800 metre mark when he improved from two wide to three wide after which THE LONE RANGER raced in a four wide position to his outside. Driver A. Herlihy (THE LONE RANGER) advised that he had elected to improve forward in a four wide position round this runner Mr Argue was spoken to advisedly in the presence of his employer Mr Dickie Snr.

LINCOLN LADY - Trainer D. Balle was charged a colour fee of $25.00.
LADY BELLISSIMO - raced three wide from the 1100 metres
HARPER FRANCO - raced three wide for the first 600 metres.
CHRISTANNA - lay in and paced roughly shortly after the start. Raced three wide for the first 600 metres.
POPPY DRAYTON - held up rounding the final bend.
AMERICAN PRINCESS - held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.

MOMENT OF TRUTH - lay in rounding the bends.
CHARLEMAGNE - broke approaching the 2400 metres losing its chance.
REALMEIN - broke after the start, refusing to settle losing its chance.
HARRIET OF MOT - broke approaching the 200 metres, refusing to settle.
BELLES SON - broke approaching the first bend losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was showing signs of tying up following the race and was treated by the Club's veterinary surgeon.
 
Race 5 ALABAR SIRES STAKES 3YO FILLIES SERIES (HEAT 4) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
PAKIPAKI - broke free of interference passing the 1300 metres causing checks to two trailing runners. This filly was stood down for 14 days.
MAJOR ROCKET - broke taking evasive action when shifting outwards to avoid the breaking PAKIPAKI passing the 1300 metres. Driver R. May was questioned as to why he was a length out of position at the start. He advised that the filly had steering issues in its preliminary and again in the score up.
SPANISH ARMADA - inconvenienced and taken wider passing the 1300 metres losing ground.
READY TO FIRE - dislodged a pylon shortly after the start.
 
Race 6 EDDIE & MARGE HOPKINS 'WHO DARED TO DREAM' HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
SERTORIUS - stepped sideways, stood on the mark and was slow away, losing considerable ground and its chance.
LOVEONTHELAWN - shifted in and broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start losing ground.
SHADY SADIE - broke passing the 2300 metres, losing considerable ground and its chance.
TORBJORN - briefly impeded by the galloping MR GOOD AND EVIL passing the 150 metres.
WINNERS SHOUT - broke approaching the first bend.
MR GOOD AND EVIL - impeded by breaking runners approaching the first bend. Broke passing the 250 metres and failed to settle.
HIGHLAND STAR - broke approaching the first bend. Held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.

ROCKER BAND - raced unkindly when in the trail between the 1200 metres and 900 metres, laying in and then laying out. Driver S. Ottley reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners.

ROBBIE BURNS - lay in, paced unevenly and then broke passing the 300 metres. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners record.
LOCHARBURN - paced roughly for a couple of strides shortly after the start.

SPRING CAMPAIGN - weakened out inside the last 300 metres.
MONGOLIAN STORM - inclined to lay in rounding the final bend.
ULTIMATE MACHETE - the connections advised that the colt threw a shoe during the running.
 
Race 10 WW2 LONG RANGE DESERT GROUP VETERANS MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ITALIAN DELIGHT - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
SNOW RAKER - paced unevenly for a distance approaching the 2000 metres.
IN FULL FLIGHT - raced unevenly when at the rear of the field passing the 800 metres.
RASCHKER - checked into a gallop, when in tight quarters outside of RAKARAZOR and inside of IDEAL ROMAN,150 metres after the start. An investigation established that firstly RAKARAZOR (S. Lawson) had moved out marginally after there was an easing of the pace in front and to the inside of him and secondly IDEAL ROMAN (R. May) was shifting inward after starting from barrier seven to a five wide position. Stewards found that no one driver was at fault and no further action was deemed necessary.
RAKARAZOR - raced thee wide between the 1400 metres and 900 metres.
 
Race 11 COUNTIES CLEANING SUPPLIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
NEIGHLOR - paced unevenly approaching the 400 metres. Had to be restrained for several strides approaching the 300 metres.
ON THE RANTAN - contacted markers when in the lead rounding the home bend.
FRANCO CRISTIANO - paced unevenly passing the 400 metres and again passing the 300 metres. Contacted pylons rounding the final bend. The authorization of the payment of first placing was withheld until such time that Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had not gained an advantage when inside the marker line for approximately 20 metres rounding the home bend.
 
Race 12 CROMBIE LOCKWOOD INSURANCE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
VALLE DE LA LUNA - broke passing the 200 metres.
ALL OVER THE STARS - broke inside the last 80 metres failing to settle. A Protest was lodged against ALL OVER THE STARS's second placing on the grounds that it was in breach of the Breaking Horses Regulation and Rule 870(3) in that it galloped in excess of 50 metres inside he last 200 metres. The Protest was not contested and the JCA disqualified it from second placing.
ONE BID BUYS - Driver M. Teaz advised that the cord for the removable deafeners became entangled preventing her activating the gear.
MEGASPEED - broke approaching the first bend, veering outwards and locking sulky wheels with HALLEY'S LAST resulting in HALLEY'S LAST being pulled up. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
ANGUS BURGA - broke at the start losing its chance.
CIRCUS BOY - stood on the mark losing considerable ground.
HALLEY'S LAST - interfered with first bend, locked sulky wheels with MEGASPEED and was pulled up.
