Race 1 DAVIS TRADING HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
AUNTY JAN - blocked for a run over the early stages of the run home.
MALABAR SPUR - trotted unevenly and was slow away.
BROOKSIDE COLT - broke at the start losing ground. Caught three wide in the middle stages when unable to secure the position outside the leader and then weakened over the final stages.
HARRY H - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
THE SCRUFF - broke passing the 600 metres losing all chance. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the near fore. Connections advised that they would be having the gelding checked out by their farrier after having lost a shoe on the first night.
 
Race 2 OUTBACK TRADING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SOLDIER - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 2000 metres.
HALSTON BROMAC - broke passing the 2000 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. The gelding was subsequently declared ineligible for 14 days.
DASHING DANE - inconvenienced near the 1600 metres when tightened for racing room.
KIWI TINTIN - paced erratically in the early stages of the score-up but regained its position prior to dispatch.
PURE DESIRE - obliged to race three wide at the 800 metres after being shifted wider on the track and then weakened out over the latter stages.
TENNYSON INLET - shifted out to a three wide position near the 1700 metres by LYNTON CREEK when not making a forward movement. Paced roughly and galloped briefly shortly after and was then restrained back to the rear. Junior Driver D Ferguson was charged under Rule 869(4) on the grounds that he drove in a manner which was likely to cause interference to LYNTON CREEK and DASHING DANE near the 1600 metres when attempting to shift LYNTON CREEK inwards. Mr Ferguson admitted the breach with the JCA imposing a fine of $250.00.
LYNTON CREEK - checked and paced roughly near the 1600 metres.
P TOMADO - over-raced when being restrained shortly after the start.
 
Race 3 NAYLOR LAWRENCE ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
RIGHTEOUS ROYALE - a length out of position at the start. Broke approaching the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of this mare. Driver B Towers was cautioned in regard to maintaining his barrier position at the start.
STRAWB'S CHIPPIE - obliged to race four wide from inside the 600 metres.
CHRISSIE JET - held up rounding the final turn.
 
Race 4 VISIQUE NAYLOR PALMER OPTOMETRISTS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DANSE MACABRE - raced three wide for the first 500 metres. Over-raced in the middle stages when outside the leader.
JACK BATES - Driver J Curtin advised that the gelding had been on one rein badly over the final stages when wanting to shift up the track.

SILVER BULLET - first starter raced greenly in the score-up and was a length out of position at the start.
STARS DELIGHT - late scratching at 6.58 pm on veterinary advice after found to be lame in preliminary.
ACTON TOWN - inclined to lay out over the latter stages of the race.
GO PADDY - held up rounding the final turn. Driver A Pyers dropped his whip passing the 200 metres. The mare was removed from the unruly list for mobile starts.
COTTONWOOD - fractious early in the score-up and was a length back out of its unruly position at the start. Over-raced early and middle stages.

REGENCY FRANCO - held up early final turn.
STAND SURE - hung out and then broke near the 1100 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing manners.
EXTRA GUINNESS - raced three wide over the early and middle stages. Weakened final stages.
JANRON - gave ground on the final turn.
PRIME LUSTRE - held up early final turn.
FRANCO LENNOX - raced three wide from the 1800 metres before being restrained back to the rear when unable to secure the position outside the leader which was being held by ULTIMATE DESIRE.

LYNX - broke for several strides entering the first turn. Forced three wide 800 metres and tired final stages. Declared ineligible for 14 days.
