Race 1 TRICES ROAD FIREWOOD TROT Video  Video 
IDLE BOYS - broke for a short distance near the 1700 metres after racing over the crossing.
CHINA EXPRESS - broke at start.
STAR PRIDE - was slow in the early stages and got back as a result.
REGAL ASSASSIN - refused to move away with the field at the start and broke soon after losing its chance. This gelding will now be drawn unruly for future standing starts at the trainer's request.
PRINCE GEORGE - driver L McCormick spoken to regarding the use of his whip over the final stages.
ZSA ZIVA - began awkwardly and trotted roughly in the early stages.
BIG IS GOOD - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after racing at Timaru on the 19.11.2016 and was cleared to race. Checked in the early stages, broke and lost all chance.
JUSTAMOLLYARCHER - checked at the start. Over-raced in the middle stages.
SHAY SCOTT - broke after 100 metres.

SWEET MARYLOU - began awkwardly. Raced roughly near the 1100 metres and had to be steadied.
MAGICAL MITCH - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
GOT A BEAUTY - broke at the start. Paced roughly in the early stages. Paced roughly near the 900 metres. Paced roughly near the 350 metres.
NEVERBETTOR - broke at the start. Shifted outwards under pressure over the final stages. Driver N McGrath was warned to make a better effort in the future to maintain a straight course in the run home.
LILAC REIGN - broke at the start. Weakened near the 500 metres.
DIOS DEL FUEGO - hung outwards leaving the final bend.
OLIVER QUEEN - held up final bend.
WESTAR SAM - had to be steadied near the 600 metres when awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of OLIVER QUEEN. Held up early stages of the home straight.
CAITLIN FRANCO - taken outwards over the final 100 metres. The all clear was withheld until driver S Ottley and trainer P Anderson had reviewed the final stages and notified that they did not wish to proceed with a protest against 3rd placed NEVERBETTOR.
L A CONFIDENTIAL - broke after 100 metres. Gave ground near the 500 metres.
ELLMERS HOOFING IT - broke at the start and lost its chance. Trainer K James was issued with a $100 minor infringement notice for failing to secure a hopple side carrier.
ZULU COURAGE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.
BONNIE MOLLY - slow to begin, got back as a result.

NATIVES BRITE GEM - broke briefly at the start.
SHONA MARY - broke at the start failed to settle lost its chance.
HOLLY TROUBLE - broke near the 1200 metres.
ED WOOD - broke at the start failed to settle lost its chance.
MASSIVE METRO - trotted roughly in the early stages. Trotted roughly under pressure in the home straight.
BRYLIN ROSE - trotted roughly final stages.
DAENERYS STORMBORN - paced at the start then galloped for a short distance. Broke near the 300 metres.
IMPERIAL WHIZ - began awkwardly and lost ground.

BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - lay outwards over the final stages. Driver J Morrison spoken to regarding the use of his whip.
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - paced roughly near the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the geldings performance, trainer D Taylor explained the gelding was unsuited to the tempo dictated in todays race and felt his horse would benefit from a more consistently run race.
THE NANS MAN - hung outwards in the home straight.
BLAZING VC - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home. Stewards questioned driver R Jenkins regarding his decision not to shift outwards to improve his position near the 500 metres. Mr Jenkins explained the mare had been finishing its racing off in a disappointing manner recently and he had attempted to remedy this through the addition of sliding blinds. He added that he had attempted to drive her in a manner where she could utilize her short sprint and was confident the horse he was following (STOP MEANS STOP) was capable of taking him into the race however he became held up after unsuccessfully attempting a marginal run between BEAUDIENE GAMBLER and THE NANS MAN. After reviewing the films and considering his explanation his comments were accepted.
 
Race 5 CRAYTHORNE'S PUBLIC HOUSE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TROPOSPHERE - a false start was declared due to the gelding breaking in the score up and checking the trailing RADIATE RED. Driver R Cameron elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. A second false start was declared after the gelding again broke in the score up checking trailing runners. Declared a late scratching by order of Stewards. Taking into account the geldings recent barrier manners history, trainer/driver R Cameron was advised that this gelding has been stood down pending a satisfactory mobile trial and when being returned to mobile races will be drawn unruly. Mr Cameron advised it was his intention to make changes to the geldings bit.
LI NA - raced roughly approaching the crossing and had to be steadied when making an unsuccessful attempt for the front. Gave ground final bend. Driver R Close advised that the mare, in his opinion, had choked down.
MIGHTY IMPACT - held up final bend.
THE BOUNDER - paced roughly in the score up. Paced roughly and broke passing the 1000 metres.
FIREY SU - broke near the 1700 metres.
 
Race 6 CHALLENGE LINCOLN PACE Video  Video 
Due to the delay in the previous race the T.A.B requested that the start time be put back 2 minutes.
CRACKABELLA - slow to begin. Held up over the concluding stages.
DANA DAWN - held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
SHANTAHLIA ROMEO - broke at the start losing all chance.
OUTTA SIGHT - got its head up and raced keenly in the early stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
KNOCKMANAUGH - broke at the start. Raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres.
NO MORE CHANGE - driver A Tomlinson spoken to regarding the use of her whip.
 
Race 7 JEMMETTS POWER TOOLS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LITTLE MO - gave ground final bend. When spoken to regarding the geldings seemingly disappointing performance driver C Ford reported the gelding had felt lethargic throughout and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
GERSHWIN - broke at the start and lost ground.
PRESTINE - driver C Butt spoken to regarding the use of his whip throughout the run home.
STYLISH DUKE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened passing the 800 metres.
GEE UP NEDDY - broke near the 350 metres. Trotted roughly throughout the final straight.
BELLES SON - held up final bend.
 
Race 8 DAKIN GROUPS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
HESA DAZZLER - out of position at the start. Stewards questioned driver J Keast regarding this and after doing so placed a warning on the barrier record of HESA DAZZLER for being unable to approach the gate despite the efforts of Mr Keast. Notwithstanding this Mr Keast was also issued with a warning under Rule 857(7)(g) for failing to make sufficient efforts to ensure his runner was fully into position.
MYSISTERSASTAR - driver C Markham reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled in the sulky.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT - hung outwards in the home straight.
STAR IN THE FUTURE - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
VENETO - driver J Kennett was charged with a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in which he is alleged to have used his whip in an excessive manner. Mr Kennett who was assisted by senior horseman C Markham defended the breach however the charge was upheld with the JCA suspending his horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to the conclusion of racing on the 9th December 2016.
SWEET LORESS - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
SHE'S A FLYIN - hung inwards over the concluding stages. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S Ottley reported that she had been slightly disappointed with the effort however was of the opinion that the mare may not have handled the track conditions.
 
Race 9 BRANDHOUSE HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
EMILY BLUNT - broke at the start. Had difficulty in obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight. Placed in restricted room over the final stages.
NICKY'S LOGIC - broke at start and shifted outwards.
DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK - shifted outwards at the start and was slow to begin. When spoken to regarding the seemingly disappointing performance driver D Dunn explained that the mare had been unsuited to its 15 metre handicap, which meant he had been unable to take up a forwards position which is where he felt the horse ran its best races from.
ALSA LUSTRE - began awkwardly and broke for several strides.

GLENIS MARIE - broke at the start.
SHPEEDY - broke after 100 metres.
LAUGH AND CRY - broke near the 250 metres.
MOMENTOUS - raced roughly near the 500 metres.
JUST A DUDE - when questioned with regard to the performance of the gelding driver C Thornley explained that the gelding was having its first start back from a spell and although slightly disappointing felt the gelding would derive considerable benefit from the run. The connections advised that they will be taking blood in the coming days and undertook to notify the Stewards of any irregularities.
COCKTAIL WAITER - lay inwards throughout the final straight. Trotted roughly under pressure in the final stages.
QUEST STAR - broke at the start.
BK DAWN - broke after 100 metres for a short distance.
DREAM BIG - had some difficulty in obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
DON'T LOOK BACK - broke after 100 metres. Again broke near the 300 metres.
 
Race 11 HSW ACCOUNTANTS LIMITED MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
THE KAIK - raced roughly in the score up. Raced roughly early stages and had to be steadied by driver D Dunn. Paced roughly approaching the first bend. Paced roughly and broke near the 400 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver D Dunn reported that in his opinion the gelding might not have handled the grass track.
MICKEY JAY - broke shortly after the start checking REGAL MAJOR. Broke near the 150 metres. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record. Trainer E Latimer advised that he would restrict the gelding to all weather tracks in the immediate future.
SMACKWATER JACK - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied.
BOBBY T - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres.
REGAL MAJOR - heavily checked at the start losing considerable ground.
STYLISH BABE - hampered at the start.
VOLATILE LAVRA - lay outwards in the home straight.
