Driver G Payne (BETTOR TO BE TRICKY) was warned for the manner he drove in the early stages when placing SMOLDERING ASHES in restricted room.
Race 9 - TERROR TO LOVE 2011-13 JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Junior Horseman M Anderson (NUI TOC TIEN) assisted by Senior Horseman J Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 1001(1)(k) in that he wilfully supplied Stewards with false and misleading information regarding his chin strap not being secured following the race. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Anderson's Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 November 2016 (4 days) and imposed a fine of $300.

CHEVRON EXPRESS - trotted roughly in the home straight. Driver D Dunn reported he was unable to drive the filly out.
ED WOOD - broke at the start. Gave ground final bend. Trotted roughly near the 250 metres and continued to trot roughly throughout the home straight.
ARDITI - trotted roughly in the home straight. Driver J Dunn reported he was unable to drive the gelding out.
WESTAR BELLA - broke nearing the 1600 metres when over-racing.
TAIMATE RAFFA - broke shortly after the start.
ROLLIN THUNDER - raced wide in the early stages. Trotted roughly in the early stages of the run home before breaking.
MOY - trotted roughly and lost ground racing into the first bend.
PRINCESS HARBOUR - slow to begin.
LAVROS JACK - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Held up final bend.
REBEL KIBBYBONES - late scratching at 9.00am on veterinary advice.

SANTANNA GIRL - tired on the final bend inconveniencing AVEROSS FERRARI. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver J Dunn could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate and possible muscle tie up. The connections advised they would have blood tests taken and will report the findings to Stewards.
RADIATE RED - paced roughly near the 700 metres after being eased wider on the track.
THE NANS MAN - hung outwards racing down the back straight. When spoken to regarding the improved performance, driver R Houghton advised the gelding had over-raced at its last two starts which had impacted on its ability to finish the race off strongly. Mr Houghton added that THE NANS MAN had been suited to leading and had been working well in preparation for today's race.
HIS ROYAL HARNESS - hung inwards near the 1200 metres. Hung outwards through the final straight.
REGAL MAJOR - raced wide through the early stages.
AVEROSS FERRARI - inconvenienced on the final bend by tiring runner.
JAKIRA - inconvenienced near the 700 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance of the filly, driver D Dunn reported he was slightly disappointed with the effort however advised the horse is still very weak at this stage of its preparation.
LAKEISHA - inconvenienced near the 700 metres.

SWEET MARYLOU - hung inwards in the early stages of the home straight.
LIMOSO - broke at the start.
SUPREME HARMONY - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
PLAYINGINTHESHADOWS - broke at the start. Authorisation of 2nd place was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
MAGICAL MITCH - raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up final bend. Had to steady near the 350 metres when attempting to improve into a marginal run. Stewards questioned driver T Quate assisted by Senior Horseman T Chmiel regarding his decision not to improve outwards near the 500 metres when an opportunity existed. Mr Quate explained that he had been instructed to save the horse for one run as MAGICAL MITCH only possesses a short sprint. When questioned further as to why he did not shift outwards onto the back of NEARIS GREEN near the 450 metres, Mr Quate explained that MAGICAL MITCH had been over-racing and become awkwardly placed close to the sulky of FRANCO GARCIA which he was following. After considering this matter, Stewards advised Mr Quate that he had erred in his judgement in not improving wider however after taking into account the racing manners of MAGICAL MITCH, he was issued with a caution and advised he must not drive in a manner which will leave him open to query.

Race 4 KEITH & BETTY HOOD MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MIKEY MAGUIRE - made contact with the barrier late in the score up and dipped its head.
LAYTONS CRUSADER - the blinds were removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Hung inwards final bend.
RAISING HOPE - hung inwards final bend.
CARTER MICHEAL - out of position at the start. Driver S McNally was warned to make a greater effort to come up and maintain his barrier position.
SMOLDERING ASHES - raced wide in the early stages. Driver M Williamson reported that the off side hopple shortener had become entangled in the hopple after activation.
FLASHING DIAMOND - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
BUILDINGANEMPIRE - hung inwards in the home straight.

DANNY DEL VITO - driver R McIlwrick, assisted by J Dunn, admitted using his whip excessively in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $250.
HUNTER BROMAC - gave ground final bend.
DONEGAL CARRICKFIN - raced roughly and broke near the 1200 metres.
BIRD OF PARADISE - held up final bend.
RAH DE RAH - raced wide and without cover until near the 1400 metres when being restrained to the rear of the field. Gave ground final bend. Driver H Jerard will be spoken to regarding the manner she drove in the coming days.
COMPLIANT - fractious before the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
HANDLEBAR HANK - paced roughly in the home straight.
 
Race 6 MOLLY & JOHN RODGERS MEMORIAL PACE Video  Video 
The start of this race was delayed due to several runners displaying poor barrier manners with the field being turned away on two occasions to reassemble.
BLUE CHIP LAD - broke at the start.
HANDSOME HERO - checked and broke at the start. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
MAW OF A WOMAN - displayed poor barrier manners. Sent to the unruly by the Starter where it will remain for future standing starts. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
LI NA - displayed poor barrier manners and reared resulting in the boring pole coming adrift with the field being turned away to reassemble. Reared and landed in the sulky of MAW OF A WOMAN at the next attempt at a start with the field again being turned away. Stewards ordered a veterinary examination with the mare being cleared to race. Driver R Close elected to remove the boring pole from the horse. Broke at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
HONOUR THE BET - hung inwards and paced roughly entering the home straight. Hung inwards again late in the run home.
CRAFTY CULLEN - stood on the mark and took no part in the race. Must trial satisfactorily from a stand on one occasion. The connections advised the gelding will be restricted to mobile starts in the immediate future.
 
Race 7 DEVON TAVERN FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
HIT IT RICH - driver M Howard was questioned regarding his decision not to utilize the passing lane in the home straight. Mr Howard explained that the horse had resented the boring pole and hung outwards when he had attempted to shift down the track and as a result he had been unable to shift inwards. Mr Howard was also spoken to regarding the manner he shifted ground over the concluding stages and warned to exercise care.
BLAZING VC - driver A Lethaby was spoken to advisedly for the manner she drove in the early stages when placing the runner to her outside in restricted room. Hung inwards and paced roughly near the 300 metres.
ROSINUPTHEBOW - placed in restricted room in the early stages.
MIGHTY IMPACT - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
HOMEFORLIFE - paced roughly racing into the first bend. Driver J Young reported to Stewards that she was disappointed with the effort of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
APRIL ROSE - raced wide in the middle stages. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
FATIMA SIAD - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
OTHER WAY - out of position in the score up behind the mobile. Driver L O'Reilly was warned to be in position at the candy pole.
PAY ME INTEREST - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Hampered over the concluding stages and had to be steadied.
SACRED ANGEL - out of position in the score up behind the mobile. Driver R Houghton was warned to be in position at the candy pole. Hung inwards leaving the final bend.
 
Race 8 CLEM & RUSSELL BRAND MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KARDESLER - raced greenly in the early stages of the run home and shifted ground inwards before shifting outwards after being corrected by driver R Payne which resulted in CURLIMORE being hampered and forced wider on the track with resultant checks to several outside runners. Shifted inwards abruptly near the 200 metres and again had to be corrected. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the colt.
MILLWOOD DAISY - gave ground leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer C Dalgety advised it was his intention to have the horse relocated to be trained on the beach.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT - co-trainers K & T Barron were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the gelding was presented without the sliding blinds. Held up throughout the home straight.
GIVEMATASTEOFKIWI - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
ONE BIG FELLA - the blinds were removed prior to the start after the horse warmed up unfavourably. Hampered near the 250 metres.
SWEET LORESS - hampered near the 250 metres.
RUM DELIGHT - checked near the 250 metres. Hung inwards passing the 200 metres.
HIGHVIEW ILLUSION - raced fiercely in the middle stages. Checked near the 250 metres.
BEAUDIENE DELIGHTFUL - failed to leave the pre-race circle and refused to move despite the efforts of driver R May and several Starters assistants. Starter P Lamb declared a false start due to safety concerns of the horse not being able to be removed from the centre of the track. Sent to the unruly position for the re-start where it will remain for future mobile starts. Hampered near the 250 metres.
CURLIMORE - trainer N McGrath was fined $50 for being late to notify A Butt as the driver. Hampered approaching the 250 metres.
WHOOSH FACTOR - hampered near the 250 metres.
VOLATILE LAVRA - back from the unruly position at the start. Raced fiercely in the early stages. Hampered near the 250 metres.

DRAGON SUN - began awkwardly.
DREAM BIG - when spoken to regarding the performance of the gelding, driver D Dunn explained that the gelding had been outpaced and is better suited when able to race handy on the peg line.
SYNDIRELLA - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
BK DAWN - broke after 100 metres. Hampered near the 400 metres. Authorisation of 2nd place was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
BELMONT'S GREATEST - held up near the 250 metres.
ASTRAPI - hampered near the 400 metres. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
MON RICHIE - slow in the early stages after beginning awkwardly. Trotted roughly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness in both hind legs. The connections advised they will have their vet examine the horse in the coming days. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
I'VE GOT THIS - broke near the 400 metres. Driver M Purvis reported the gelding had been striking its knee.

ALGRANCOBOWJOEL - tired rounding the final bend. Checked near the 250 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver G Smith reported that the gelding had been unsuited to leading and may be better suited when driven with cover.
CIMARRON - driver C Smith will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove in the home straight.
MACH'S TERMINATOR - driver J Keast admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that drove carelessly when shifting ground inwards near the 250 metres checking ALGRANCOBOWJOEL and CULLENS LADY. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
FRANCO CALIPH - over-raced and raced wide in the early stages.
CULLENS LADY - held up early stages of the home straight. Checked near the 250 metres.
PAY ME ART - hung inwards passing the 400 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - held up early stages of the home straight. Hampered near the 250 metres.
JOEY MAGUIRE - placed in restricted room near the 350 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver A Butt could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a mild case of the thumps. Stewards will follow up the recovery of this horse with trainer T Butt in the coming days.
