KATE JACKSON - Locked wheels briefly on the final turn.
ACES N EIGHTS - Held up on the final turn and early stages of the run home.
BOURBON STREET - Locked wheels briefly on the final turn when weakening and then lay in contacting marker pegs. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CERBERUS - Tired badly from the 600 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer M Gibbs advised that the gelding would not be persevered with.
LUCKY LUCIANO - Over raced middle stages when midfield on the outer.

DELIGHTFUL ZEN - Shifted out on the final turn when leading and then again over the final stages when clear of other runners. Driver D Butcher advised that he had been placed at some disadvantage after the offside shortener pin failed to release correctly and as a result he had been reluctant to take greater corrective action when the gelding attempted to shift up the track.
STRAWB'S REGAL ACT - Over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader.
COTTONWOOD - Broke in the early stages of the score-up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed against this mare's mobile barrier manners.
GO PADDY - Back from position at dispatch and placed on the unruly for future mobiles. Paced roughly for a stride near the 400 metres.
LUNA DE MIEL - Held up early final turn.
REBEL RICHIE - Paced roughly and then broke passing the 100 metres. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing manners.

The start was delayed two minutes at the request of the Club.
DANSE MACABRE - Co-trainer M O'Brien reported subsequent to the race that the mare was showing signs of being in season and that he would be changing the bit for the second day.
ARCANO - When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Curtin stated that after enjoying a good run in transit that the gelding had lay in when asked to quicken and failed to run on. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
JONAH JONES - Raced roughly for several strides when held up early on the final turn.
 
Race 4 EQUIVET HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
AUNTY JAN - Broke passing the 2300 metres settling towards the rear. Broke again passing the 1900 metres.
MALABAR SPUR - Broke rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. Checked and broke passing the 1900 metres.
MISTRESS CASTLETON - Tired from the 600 metres to finish at the rear.
DANKE - An investigation was opened into the manner in which Driver G Martin drove over the final 400m in relation to his apparent lack of vigour. After taking initial evidence from Mr Martin and viewing the available replays, the matter was adjourned until the second night to enable additional replay footage to be made available to be viewed.
SPEEDY EARL - Trainer K Tarrant was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for the late notification of the removal of this gelding's blinds.
HARRY H - Broke over the early stages and trailed the field throughout.
 
Race 5 NEW CENTRAL HOTEL WOODVILLE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
UROC KATE - Broke passing the 1100 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed against the mare's racing manners.
HE'S A HOBO - Commenced to give ground passing the 800 metres and was retired from the event. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality other than a slightly elevated heart rate. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing performance.
STRAVAGANZA - Reluctant to follow the mobile in the initial stages of the score-up and then paced roughly just prior to dispatch when back from position. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
NERVE OF STEEL - Broke rounding the first turn losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Curtin advised that the gelding had paced roughly for no apparent reason before galloping. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing manners.
 
Race 6 NEXT MEETING SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CUT THE CARDS - Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after dispatch when contacted by a duck which was attempting to avoid the field.
SOLDIER - Underwent a veterinary examination after having started in Race 1 and was cleared to race. Locked wheels for several strides passing the 700 metres. Broke approaching the 200 metres when towards the rear. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners.
WILL DESIRE - Held up early on the final turn.
JACK BATES - Paced roughly under pressure late in the run home.
MYEYESADOREYA - Forced four wide near the 700 metres.
LUCKY JOHN - Held up final turn and then inconvenienced by the breaking SOLDIER.
STRAWB'S CHIPPIE - Lay in when attempting to improve three wide on the final turn.
SWEET ALICE - Locked wheels for several strides passing the 700 metres.
