Trainer D Ross has advised Stewards that CLIVE, an acceptor for Race 2 at Ashburton on Monday, has undergone a successful wind operation since last racing at Motukarara on 10 April.

Trainer D Marfisi has informed Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington on 7 October, blood tests were taken from CULLENMORE with these revealing no abnormalities. Mr Marfisi added that the gelding has since worked pleasingly in preparation for a resumption tonight.

SKETCHING - raced fiercely in the middle stages.
GO DAVEY - placed in restricted room shortly after the start.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - placed in restricted room shortly after the start. Held up passing the 300 metres.
CULLENMORE - hung inwards in the early stages crowding inside runners. Got its head up and raced erratically near the 2000 metres. Hung inwards on the bend near the 1600 metres. Hung inwards under pressure on the final bend.
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - held up final bend.
ROCKNROLL MAGIC - improved wide between the 1600 metres and the 1100 metres to race parked. Weakened passing the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance driver D Dunn could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from the Thumps. Trainer T Butt advised that he would have the horse examined by his vet in the coming days.
ROCKNROLL LEGEND - out of position at the candy pole. Driver J Dunn was issued with a warning.

CURLIMORE - held up near the 300 metres.
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED - held up briefly leaving the final bend.
GUNPOWDER - badly held up final bend.
LIVING LEGEND - struck the sulky wheels throughout causing the gelding to over-race. Tired from the 450 metres.
ULTIMATE MACHETE - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start.
BONTZ - over-raced early stages.
WOZNIACKI - broke near the 1500 metres and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
LLOYDIN MAGIC - paced roughly early stages.

DAENERYS STORMBORN - broke after 200 metres.
SPOTS GOLD N GIRL - displayed poor barrier manners causing a delay. Refused to move away with the field and lost considerable ground. Stood down pending a satisfactory standing start trial.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke at the start and lost ground.
NEEDLE - hung outwards under pressure in the home straight.
MONARCHY PRINCESS - broke in the early stages.
ROI DES GITANS - locked wheels with another runner near the 450 metres and checked out of the race.
RUSTY I AM - raced roughly over the final stages and was unable to be placed under any pressure by driver P Wakelin.
DRAGONS SISTER - hampered at the start.
BIG IS GOOD - reared at the start, swung inwards and got back as a result. Raced wide from the 1400 metres. Weakened passing the 450 metres and hung inwards despite the efforts of driver M House. Locked wheels with another runner near the 450 metres.

DELIGHTFUL MEMPHIS - driver B Orange reported he did not activate the removable deafeners.
TACHYON - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards final bend. Driver M Purdon dropped his whip in the early stages of the run home.
MONET GRACE - raced keenly throughout.
BEAUDIENE DELIGHTFUL - had to be steadied passing the 100 metres when placed in restricted room between FATIMA SIAD and MONET GRACE which both shifted ground.

OUTTA SIGHT - broke at the start.
ALL NUTS N BOLTS - began awkwardly. Broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
JONTY JAMES - tangled early stages. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
HARD DAYS NIGHT - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards final bend. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
CULLEY BACKY - hung inwards final bend.
AUDI HARE - raced wide early stages.
YANKEE TARA - broke at the start.
FULHAM ROYALE - broke at the start. Lost its near hind shoe passing the 120 metres.
ASK ME ART - broke at the start. Had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight. Driver J Curtin reported he did not activate the gelding's deafeners.
 
Race 6 NRM 3YO SIRES' STAKES (HEAT 5) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KING SOLOMON - denied access to the passing lane throughout the run home and became held up in consequence. Locked wheels with outside runner near the 60 metres when attempting to improve into a marginal run. Driver M Anderson lodged a protest under Rule 869A(2) against TIGER THOMPSON (J Curtin) alleging that had he not received interference in the home straight from TIGER THOMPSON he would have beaten that runner home. After viewing the replays and hearing the relative evidence from all connections, the JCA upheld the protest and relegated TIGER THOMPSON to 4th place. KING SOLOMON was promoted to 3rd place. An inquiry was opened into the manner in which M Anderson drove passing the 60 metres.
TIGER THOMPSON - shifted inwards into the passing lane after having its deafeners activated early in the home straight. Continued to occupy the passing lane throughout the run home. On protest was relegated from 1st to 4th place. Driver J Curtin defended a charge issued under Rule 869(4) and the Passing Lane Regulations in that he failed to allow full access to the passing lane for the trailing KING SOLOMON. After considering the evidence the JCA upheld the charge and Mr Curtin's Horseman's Licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 24 October 2016 up to and including 1 November 2016 (2 days).
THEFIXER - hampered near the 100 metres and raced roughly. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre at this time.
MONGOLIAN HERO - Racing keenly passing the 1000 metres.
MONGOLIAN STORM - promoted to 1st place.
THE BACHELOR - late scratching on veterinary advice at 5.45pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
MORE THE BETTER - Out of position at the start. Driver M Purdon cautioned to maintain his barrier position. Locked wheels with inside runner near the 60 metres.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - started from barrier 2 on the second row instead of barrier 1. Driver C DeFilippi admitted a breach of Rule 862(2) in that he allowed his horse to start from the incorrect barrier and was fined $200 by the JCA. In assessing what action to take against Mr DeFilippi, Stewards were mindful of the fact the gelding had not gained any advantage. Raced keenly passing the 1000 metres. Weakened passing the 500 metres.
BILLY BADGER - hung outwards for the final 800 metres. Shifted outwards abruptly passing the 100 metres hampering THEFIXER. Notwithstanding the racing manners of this colt driver J Dunn was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

Due to the protest in the previous race there was a delay to the start of this event.
JOEY MAGUIRE - driver J Curtin reported that he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
C'EST L'HEURE - broke at the start. Hung inwards leaving the final bend. A warning was placed on the entire's barrier record.
LINTON SHARD - began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages until being taken forwards to race parked near the 1800 metres.

SOUTH COASTER - broke at the start and lost ground.
BEG HALL - driver K Butt reported the cord to activate the removable deafeners had broken.
MOTU GREAT SENSATION - broke near the 300 metres.
RUTHLESS SUCCESS - held up leaving the final bend.
BENCHMARK - broke passing the 1600 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 600 metres when positioned to the outside of AGATHA TYRON which shifted outwards. Drivers D Keast and J Morrison will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
MY AMOUR - co-trainer G Hope advised that the gelding would race without front shoes. Driver J Harrington reported that the horse had been striking his sulky wheels causing it to over-race. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Gave ground final bend.
BD LOVE - trotted roughly and in consequence was out of position at the start.
CUDDLY JESS - lost its off hind shoe in the score up.
LITTLE MO - raced wide throughout.
GLASS HALF FULL - raced wide in the early stages.

FLASHING DIAMOND - held up until near the 100 metres.
MIGHTY IMPACT - a rein pricker was added prior to the start.

ROCKON STYX - rein pricker removed prior to the start. Raced wide throughout. Gave ground from the 600 metres.
KYLIE ANN - out of position at the start. Driver M Neilson was issued with a warning.
LAKEISHA - raced keenly in the middle stages.
HANNAH EXTREME - raced keenly throughout. Held up on the final bend. Hung outwards in the home straight.

ELLMERS IMAGE - had to shift wider on the final bend to avoid the breaking BROTHER IN ARMS.
LIKELY JEREME - broke briefly at the start. Hampered near the 350 metres having to be steadied.
SHINEONUCRAZYDIAMOND - had to shift wider on the final bend to avoid the breaking BROTHER IN ARMS.
SUPREME HARMONY - raced wide until being taken forwards to race parked near the 1700 metres.
BROTHER IN ARMS - hung inwards and then broke near the 350 metres. Driver T Williams reported the colt had been unsuited to improving wide on the track and became unbalanced in consequence. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HASHTAG - broke at the 550 metres due to an easing of the pace. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
