Race 3 - TENDER FOR PEGASUS SPUR CLOSES 8PM TONIGHT HANDICAP TROT
Trainer R Brosnan advised Stewards that after undergoing further veterinary inspection on Tuesday 18 October, GINTARAS was found to have soreness in the near side stifle. Mr Brosnan further advised GINTARAS received treatment to this area and that the gelding would be returning to the workouts prior to racing next.

CHAL SHOCKED - Shifted up the track when clear in the lead during the run home. Amateur driver S Wigg was cautioned and instructed to make a greater effort to keep her horse straight in the run home in the future.
CONCORDE - Marginally back from position at dispatch. Amateur Driver C Wigg was cautioned and instructed to maintain her barrier position until dispatch in the future.
EASY FOR CULLEN - No claims lodged.
ZAKSPATROL - No claims lodged. Over-raced during the middle stages when at the rear.
SHARDON'S PEARL - Over-raced during the middle stages when mid-field on the inner.

SOUTHLAND REFLECTOR - Broke near the 2100 metres but soon settled and then broke again approaching the 600 metres losing all chance.
RARANGI JEWEL - Inconvenienced briefly near the 2100 metres.
I GOT RHYTHM - Inconvenienced briefly near the 2100 metres. Over-raced during the middle stages when leading.

BETTOR I IZZ - Broke shortly after the start and settled at the rear. A warning was placed against this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
LAREDO TORPEDO - Raced greenly when leading near the 1500 metres.
MCLEOD'S DAUGHTER - Held up early final turn. Driver S Lawson was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground at the 100 metres.
TURBULENT FLOW - Broke near the 600 metres when being restrained after there was an easing of the pace in the one out running line. Checked and raced roughly near the 100 metres.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - When questioned regarding an incident near the 1200 metres where DELIGHTFUL ZEN was forced to race wider on the track for several strides when HEZALUCKYGRINNER shifted out to a three wide position, Driver N Chilcott explained that her gelding had lay in and been slow to respond when she commenced to shift which resulted in DELIGHTFUL ZEN being inconvenienced briefly. After considering the matter and in particular taking into account Driver D Butcher's (DELIGHTFUL ZEN) explanation that he was happy to take a trail on HEZALUCKYGRINNER no further action was deemed necessary.
DELIGHTFUL ZEN - Checked shortly after the start. Inconvenienced when briefly forced to race wider on the track passing the 1200 metres. Raced three wide without cover from the 1000 metres.
 
Race 5 FURNWARE INDUSTRIES BODYFURN MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
DANKE - Broke in the score up and was well back from position at dispatch.
GREY STOKE - Raced three wide middle stages before restrained to the rear. Improved three wide without cover from the 1100 metres. Trainer L Edwards is to be interviewed subsequent to the meeting in relation to what appeared to be the bandage on the off hind coming adrift.
COOL SON - Caused false start at initial attempt when galloping early in the score up checking several runners. Junior Driver D Ferguson elected to retain his barrier position. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners. Weakened final stages to finish at the rear beaten 20 lengths. A post race veterinary examination failed to detect any abnormality.
PRECIOUS MOMENT - Raced over numerous marker pegs for a distance of approximately 150 metres in the run home. Disqualified from 1st placing under Rule 869(7B). Junior driver R Argue pleaded guilty to an associated charge under Rule 869(7A)(a) & (b) with the JCA suspending his Junior Drivers Licence after the completion of racing on 28 October 2016 up to and including 5 November 2016.

SKY DIAMOND - Raced three wide from the 1000 metres but failed to run on finishing in 9th place beaten 34 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 7 SUNSHINE BEACH AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHARMING DESIRE - Over-raced during the middle stages when racing on the inner.
SOLDIER - Raced three wide for the first 700 metres before being restrained to the rear.
KATE JACKSON - Held up throughout the run home being unable to obtain clear running. Driver J Abernethy advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
YANKEE BRANDY - Held up throughout run home. Driver C Webber advised that he did not activate the sliding blinds.
 
Race 8 HIGHVIEW TOMMY AT WOODLANDS (F & M) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FLYIN IMPACT - Paced roughly in the score up. Broke passing the 900 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed against this mares racing manners.
GOTTA GO JET AWAY - Checked passing the 900 metres losing several lengths.
CHANGE THE TALK - A minor infringement notice was issued and a $100 fine imposed on Trainers P & V Blanchard for presenting CHANGE THE TALK with blinds that were not notified.
BROOKES ROSE - Late scratching at 7.35pm on Veterinary advice.

SOUL MAN - Gave ground over final stages.
CHEVRONS EASY - Raced three wide for the first 700 metres.
KILKEEL LADY - Raced four wide early.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - Late scratching at 10.15pm on Veterinary advice due to stumbling and falling when entering the Parade Ring causing lacerations to her upper lip.
LOLA JONES - Had to be steadied passing the 1500 metres when momentarily placed in restricted room between WESTWIND FLYER and KILKEEL LADY.
