I GOT RHYTHM - weakened inside the 400 metres. When spoken to regarding the manner he had driven in the middle stages when rejecting cover from the improving COMMANDER PARIS, Driver K. He added that Mr Marshall had, by allowing him to put a half length advantage on him, intimated to him that he would surrender that position but then encouraged his runner forwards leaving him to race in the open. He further said that COMMANDER PARIS had in recent starts been racing well without luck and felt the horse had an opportunity to take up a forwards position and race prominently however this had not been able to occur. Near the 1900 metres WYNBERG SALLY stood on the left rein of WASHINGTONS CHANCE which had come unsecured from underneath driver S Abernethy.
