Race 1 R S FLOOR COATINGS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FOURPENNY ONE - Over-raced over the early stages. Weakened inside the final 500 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
LOVE AMERICAN STYLE - Weakened from inside the 800 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
TENNYSON INLET - Checked by galloping runner entering the first bend. Shifted wider on the track when in the lead throughout the run home. Junior Driver D Ferguson was shown the video coverage of the run home and reminded of his obligations under the Home Straight Regulations to maintain as straight a course as possible.
GLENDENE - Hung inwards and raced fiercely in the early stages.
FLIGHT OFFICER - Broke and shifted outwards on the first bend checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
FRANK LUCAS - Checked by galloping runner entering the first bend.
OLIVIA'S SECRET - Shifted wider on the track in the run home by the winner. Driver S Phelan advised his chances of beating that runner were not affected.
BLUE JAY COURT - Hung in the score up and was two lengths out of position at the start. Broke leaving the final bend.
 
Race 2 O'FEE & ASSOCIATES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TUAPEKA TROY - Paced roughly shortly after the start lugging outwards checking HEY KNOWCHANGE. Weakened inside the last 400 metres.
LUCKY LUCIANO - Crowded in the early stages and had to be steadied for a short distance. Paced roughly rounding the first bend.
JACK BATES - Hung inwards in the early stages crowding inside runners. Weakened from inside the 500 metres. Trainer F Mitchell advised Stewards that he would be changing the training regime in an attempt to improve the gelding before returning to race at Manawatu.
KATE JACKSON - Raced three wide between the 1200 metres and the 400 metres.
RANGI RANGDU - Lay out rounding the first bend.
SOLDIER - Raced three wide from inside the 1000 metres. Junior Driver D Ferguson was warned to correct his whip action.
HEY KNOWCHANGE - Crowded in the early stages and had to be steadied for a short distance. Weakened passing the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the mare's performance Trainer M Bowden said in his opinion the mare had not backed up from its first day run.
CUT THE CARDS - Broke late in the score-up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on this mare's mobile barrier manners record.
 
Race 3 CARTOWN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
VAN EVA - Broke racing into the first bend inconveniencing trailing runners. Weakened passing the 800 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
HALSTON BROMAC - Weakened passing the 800 metres.
ACES N EIGHTS - Raced keenly in the trail in the middle stages.
CERBERUS - Hung outwards when being steadied near the 1700 metres and became awkwardly positioned near the sulky of ACES N EIGHTS. Weakened inside the last 400 metres.
BROOKES ROSE - When questioned regarding the performance of the filly Driver S Phelan reported that the filly had been unsuited to the longer distance of tonight's race and had not backed up from its first day run.
DANSE MACABRE - Hampered on the first bend and had to be restrained. Over-raced through the middle stages.
 
Race 4 PAUL CLARIDGE ELECTRIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
JANRON - Raced wide from the 800 metres.
LINCOLNS KEEPSAKE - Weakened on the final bend and hung inwards resulting in the inside wheel being struck and punctured. When spoken to regarding the run of the mare driver A Poutama explained the horse had been unsuited to the step up in distance and in his opinion had not backed up from its first day run. The connections reported the horse would now be retired.
PRIME LUSTRE - Driver S Abernethy was warned to maintain his barrier position.
 
Race 5 NEW CENTRAL MOTOR HOTEL WOODVILLE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
DANKE - Broke shortly after the start and lost ground.
HARRY H - Broke racing into the first bend and lost its chance.
RARANGI JEWEL - Cast a shoe near the 1600 metres.
NO BACARDI DAMIT - Mixed its gait between trotting and galloping before going into a full gallop on the first bend. Trainer S Doody advised the gelding would be turned out for a spell.
 
Race 6 PETER SINCLAIR LYNX FINISHES HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
ABOVE THE REST - Broke racing into the first bend.
LUNDQVIST - Broke passing the 800 metres and settled at the back of the field. Broke again after being improved to the lead near the 400 metres losing its chance.
LINDY'S DREAM - Began awkwardly and then broke soon after the start losing considerable ground.
ITSNOWORNEVER - When spoken to regarding the performance of the mare driver P Ferguson could only advise the mare had disappointed him with its efforts. A post race Veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities.
AWA CATHRINE - Driver D Moore admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in a manner Stewards deemed to be excessive. After considering all submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
