RAPTORS FLIGHT - The adjourned hearing from the above meeting was heard at Alexandra Park at 4.45 pm on 30th September 2016 into the charge under Rule 303(2) in that Junior Driver M. Reynolds (RAPTORS FLIGHT) failed to comply with the direction or instruction of a Stipendiary Steward to attend an inquiry. The charge was admitted and the J.C.A. suspended his horseman's licence up to and including 17th November 2016.

Race 1 BOOK YOUR PRIVATE CHRISTMAS PARTY AT ALEX PARK HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
FORFEATHERS - broke passing the 2100 metres losing considerable ground.
RARANGI JEWEL - lay in and contacted marker pegs on the final turn.
I GOT RHYTHM - broke at the start.
C K SPUR - broke at the start and again at the 600 metres after contacting the wheel of the sulky of GEORGE. An investigation was held into this incident. It was established that C K SPUR had contributed to the incident by racing greenly when being eased to take a trail on GEORGE, which was shifting out to a three wide position, and made contact with that runner's left mudguard before breaking and losing all chance. After considering the matter, no further action was deemed necessary other than to note the circumstances.
SEA EYRE - Trainer R. Brosnan was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 for presenting the gelding without removable deafeners. Broke at the start. Weakened final stages.
PRECIOUS MOMENT - broke soon after the start and then again approaching the first bend.
SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start.
THEBESTLOVE - broke after taking evasive action to avoid the breaking C K SPUR passing the 600 metres.
MOMENT OF TRUTH - no claims lodged. Broke briefly passing the 1800 metres.

TURBULENT FLOW - broke free of interference passing the 900 metres. A warning was placed on this mare's racing manners.
HARPER FRANCO - raced three wide from the 1200 metres before tiring over the final stages.

LAREDO TORPEDO - broke shortly after the start and settled at the rear. Broke again passing the 1600 metres when being restrained off the back of BANNER OF ART after there was an easing of the pace. A warning was placed against this colt's mobile barrier manners.
MCDAKNIFE - raced three wide for the first 900 metres.
ITSOKBEINGBETTER - over-raced during the middle stages when midfield on the inner.
OCTOBER RUSH - lay in during the score up and at various stages of the running.
CLASSIE AMERICAN - broke 350 metres. A warning was placed on the colt's racing manners.

MISS DAISY - Trainer R. Dunn was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after both hind bandages came adrift during the running.
 
Race 5 LINCOLN FARMS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TURNBULLS - inclined to lay in on the bends.
HADRIAN - over-raced during middle stages when leading.
G J SEELSTAR - lay in rounding the final bend, contacting track markers.
DEFY THE ODDS - broke passing the 200 metres. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners.
AWESOME DUDE - paced unevenly over the early stages and then again when attempting to improve wide racing down the back straight the final time.
ART OF GOLD - lay in throughout when racing outside the leader.
SOLDIER - over-raced during middle stages when back in mid-field. Held up rounding the final bend.
 
Race 6 BELMONT LINEN HIRE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
A false start was declared after the barrier strand release mechanism malfunctioned. There was a five minute delay to the start.
MASTER MONARCHY - lay in during middle stages when trailing on the outer and was unable to hold the back of BLACKGUARD'S CORNER which enabled MONNAY to shift in to secure that position near the 1200 metres. Weakened inside the 500 metres.
MONNAY - no claims lodged.
LUCKY FORTUNE - broke shortly after the start dislodging its boring pole and losing considerable ground. Held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home. Driver A. Neal cautioned for attempting to improve to the inside of GINTARAS where there was insufficient room resulting in LUCKY FORTUNE racing over several track markers in the run home.
SCARRYMCLEARY - paced for several strides shortly after the start adding to its 40 metre handicap. Broke near the 2200 metres and was retired from the event. Driver J. Dickie advised that the gelding had cast a shoe over the early stages.
BLACKGUARD'S CORNER - when questioned regarding the performance, Trainer/Driver T. Herlihy stated that he was happy with the run given the strong tempo throughout in what was the gelding's first race this campaign since joining his stable.

The start was delayed when several runners became fractious when called into line.
BEYOND THE SILENCE - stood on the mark and began badly.
LITTLE RASCAL - broke at the start and trailed the field throughout.
ROCKER BAND - broke at the start and settled at the rear.
START DREAMING - when questioned regarding the performance, Trainer/Driver B. Purdon stated that he was satisfied with the mare's run after getting shuffled four back on the marker line during the middle stages and in particular given the final sections recorded.
 
Race 8 BRECKON FARMS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LOVELY BUNDY -Trainer A. Grant was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 for presenting this mare to race without the notified blinds. Broke briefly at the start.
ANZAC - broke at the start losing ground to settle at the rear of the field.
HALLEY'S LAST - was slow away settling at the rear of the field.
MEGASPEED - broke after 100 metres and trailed the field.
MIGHTY SUNNY - broke near the 1700 metres losing all chance.
THANKS SHANE - gave ground from the 400 metres.
 
Race 9 MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KILKEEL LADY - over-raced during the middle stages when midfield on the inner.
CHANGE THE TALK - when questioned regarding the performance, Driver D. Butcher stated that it was a big step up in class from the field which the filly had beaten at its only start and that it still had a lot to learn as well as expecting natural improvement with the run.
CORROBOREE - over-raced middle stages when rear on inner.

CHAL SHOCKED - Driver S. Phelan reported that the sliding blinds failed to activate due to the attachment clip malfunctioning.
STUNIN BANNER - lay in at various stages.
SHARDS PHOENIX - lay in on the final turn and was then held up for clear racing room over the final stages. Driver K. Marshall reported that as a result he did not activate the removable gear.
