Selected horses on today's programme were subjected to pre-race blood testing. Selected Drivers were required to provide a sample of breath for the purpose of alcohol testing. Due to inclement track conditions mud guards were ordered to be used from the start of the meeting. |

ALTA TERESA - trainer P Kerr was fined the sum of $100 for failing to present this filly with the correct notifiable gear. Driver R Close was spoken to and cautioned in regard to the manner in which he shifted the filly outwards rounding the final bend. | |

CULLEN WHO when questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of this mare driver Katie Cox advised that given the mare was having its first run back from a spell and had to work hard during the early stages she was of the opinion that this had taken its toll on her ability to finish the race off in a competitive fashion. | |

C'EST L'HEURE - broke at the start of a distance. Fourth place being awarded to this horse was withheld until it was established it had complied with the breaking horse regulations when in a break over the early stages. | |
CHAPTER ONE - held up between the 900 and 800 metres and had to be restrained. | |
LINTON SHARD - compounded from the 900 metres and was retired from the race. Post-race veterinary examination revealed horse to have suffered from an atrial fibrilation. This gelding has been stood down until a veterinary clearance which includes results of an ECG report had been tendered. | |
