The start was delayed by six minutes due to EYE LASH having to return to the stabling area to replace the sulky.
OKLAHOMA THUNDER - over-raced when in the trail behind the leader and weakened out inside the last 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver J Dunn advised the gelding pulled hard and hung and is to be spelled.
LINCOLNS SUPERSTAR - paced unevenly for several strides soon after the start.
CLASSIE AMERICAN - held up over the initial stages of the run home.
EYE LASH - inconvenienced by tiring runner inside the last 400 metres, rounding the final bend.
COWBOYS N ALIENS - paced unevenly over the initial stages. Inconvenienced by the tiring runner inside the last 400 metres.

Race 4 SWEET LOU AT WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
NO WAY ELSE - Trainer A Donnelly issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting with an incorrect saddle cloth.
MISS DAISY - hung in the score up and was half a length out of position at the start.
MAJOR CHANGE - lay in contacting a pylon rounding the home bend and held up for clear racing room over the early and middle stages of the run home.
KILLER QUEEN - began to weaken passing the 900 metres and was taken wider on the track by Driver D. Butcher for safety reasons. A post-race veterinary examination revealed this mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. A satisfactory ECG and a veterinary clearance is required before the mare resumes racing. Driver D Butcher was spoken to advisedly and warned to exercise greater care in regard to an incident with 1800 metres run.
STRIKE THE GOLD - held up over the early stages of the run home.

TURNBULLS - lay in rounding the bend and raced erratically when attempting to improve inside the 900 metres losing ground.
WAINGARO MARA - held up rounding the bend and the early stages of the run home.
STUNNING SHADOW - raced three wide from the 1800 metres to the 500 metres, held up for run rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.

The start was delayed for five minutes due to the St Johns ambulance staff having to attend to an on-course patron.
GINTARAS - threw a shoe approaching the 200 metres.
WHITNEY - broke briefly passing the 1800 metres, losing ground.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke passing the 1900 metres losing ground to settle at the rear of the field, then broke again passing the 1400 metres, losing its chance.
COMMANDER PARIS - broke briefly approaching the 1800 metres, breaking again approaching the 200 metres.
LUCKY FORTUNE - broke shortly after the start losing ground.

IDEAL BELLE - very slow to begin, losing approximately 30 metres.
LITTLE RASCAL - held up early on final bend and then again over the final 100 metres when unable to secure clear running.

ITSOKBEINGBETTER - hampered passing the 1800 metres due to an easing of the pace.
SAMARITAN - paced erratically in the score up, broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground and trailed the field. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
ART OF GOLD - reached lead approaching the 1800 metres and then dropped the bit causing an easing of the pace.
MACHINEGUNS N GEMS - Driver K. Marshall was reminded of his obligation to maintain full access to the passing lane throughout the run home.
KEEPERS ART - raced one out without cover in the middle stages, weakened approaching the 400 metres.
LAREDO TORPEDO - broke approaching the 1600 metres when being eased losing 30 metres. A warning was placed on this colt's racing manners.
OCTOBER RUSH - hampered passing the 1800 metres due to an easing of the pace.
