Race 4 - GARDEN CITY FLORIST MOBILE TROT
Trainer P Williamson has advised that following its disappointing performance at Addington on 19 August, BRADS KENNY was checked out by the stable veterinarian with no abnormalities detected. Mr Williamson added that the gelding has worked well since and will race back at Addington next week.
Race 7 - BRENT SMITH 50TH BIRTHDAY HANDICAP TROT
Trainer A Hoffman has advised Stewards that following its performance at Addington on 19 August, KING DENNY was checked by their stable veterinarian and found to be suffering from an abscess to a foot which is now being treated.

Race 6 - ABERNETHY RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
Trainer A Beck has informed Stewards that REAL LOVE has recovered well since its disappointing performance at Gore last weekend. Mr Beck added that he thought that the shifty nature of the track might not have suited the mare, which is now being aimed for a resumption at Winton in early September.
Race 9 - HEARTLAND HOTEL MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Gray has informed Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Gore last weekend, JACCKA SPIRIT has been checked by the stable veterinary surgeon with no abnormalities detected. Mr Gray is of the opinion that the gelding does not handle the Gore circuit as it hung badly at its other start on the track. JACCKA SPIRIT has had a brief freshen-up and will resume at Winton early next month.

PAT THE MONARCH - broke at the start.
HERE WE ARE - broke after 200 metres. Hung inwards leaving the final bend. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
THE DENNISTON ROSE - broke after 200 metres.
HOLLY TROUBLE - hampered after 200 metres. Held up on the final bend. Stewards questioned Driver M Heenan as to the reason he shifted to the marker line with 900 metres to run. Mr Heenan stated that he felt HOLLY TROUBLE was better placed to save ground and follow the well supported LINDSAY CASTLETON and JANA'S WISHES instead of racing parked for the final 1400 metres. Mr Heenan added that the mare had only ran on fairly once obtaining clear running. After viewing the replays and considering the explanation of Mr Heenan, Stewards considered his actions were not unreasonable and took the matter no further.
CLOVER LADY - hampered after 200 metres.
FAMILY NIGHT - hung inwards and trotted roughly throughout.
FOURSHARESMOREBEERS - held up passing the 800 metres.
JANA'S WISHES - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
LINDSAY CASTLETON - trotted roughly from the 600 metres. Driver S McNally reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
 
Race 2 NORTH OTAGO MOTOR GROUP FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GREY SKIES - raced roughly on the first bend and had to be restrained. Tired from the 500 metres. Driver J Hay could offer no explanation. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
TANYA DANA - raced keenly passing the 1400 metres when being restrained to trail. Held up final bend.
GYPSY'S CHOICE - raced keenly in the middle stages. Junior Horsewoman I Lee, assisted by Senior Horseman J Curtin, defended a charge under Rule 868(3) in that she failed to drive her horse out until the end of the race when she had a reasonable chance of finishing third. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA upheld the charge and imposed a suspension of Miss Lee's Junior Horsewoman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 23 September 2016 (6 days).
FABRI BROMAC - driver S Payne was warned for the manner he drove passing the 800 metres when activating gear.
FLOATING ON EYRE - held up on the final bend.

PALEFACE SIOUX - broke at the start. Warning placed on the mare's mobile barrier record.
OUTA HERE - raced keenly in the early stages.
MR SHARKEY - hung inwards in the early and middle stages. Shifted outwards in the home straight.
SELLING THE DREAM - held up on the final bend.
ATOM EXPRESS - held up on the final bend.

CANARDLY REMEMBER - broke at the start. Held up on the final bend.
SANDRA KEITH - tangled away. Tired final bend. Trainer/Driver A Lowe advised he was disappointed with the performance and would be returning the mare to the trials before resuming.
HOLD ON ARIZONA - tangled away.
PRECIOUS SARA - paced roughly and broke after 200 metres.
KARDESLER - inconvenienced by PRECIOUS SARA in the early stages and lost ground. Improved very wide final bend. Paced roughly passing the 50 metres.
TEXAS RULER - raced wide early stages. Shifted outwards leaving the final bend after Driver H Jerard activated the removable deafeners. Miss Jerard was warned for the manner she drove. Shifted inwards over the concluding stages hampering GLENSTONE and STAR ATTACK. Miss Jerard was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
GLENSTONE - held up passing the 200 metres. Placed in restricted room over the final stages.
STAR ATTACK - placed in restricted room over the final stages.

TORNADO VALLEY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
STYLISH DUKE - hung outwards in the home straight.
THE SILVER FOX - inconvenienced by STYLISH DUKE passing the 200 metres.

The red light on the mobile was inadvertently activated for a brief period early in the score-up by Starter R Donnelly.
COOL CHANGES - placed in restricted room in the middle stages of the score-up and was back slightly at the start.
ALLISON STOKKE - locked wheels momentarily in the score up.
GOTTA DEL - locked wheels momentarily in the score up.
DANNY DEL VITO - broke near the 900 metres.
TOP BRASS - tired from the 800 metres after racing fiercely throughout.
UNDERSTUDY - held up in the early stages of the run home.

MICKEY JAY - broke at the start and shifted outwards checking GEORGIE MACH. A warning was placed on the standing start record of the gelding.
GEORGIE MACH - checked at the start. Held up on the final bend.
LEANDER LILY - tangled away.
MACH'S TERMINATOR - broke at the start. Hung inwards in the home straight.
THE EDGE OF REASON - broke at the start. Gave ground on the final bend hampering GEORGIE MACH.
FLORETA - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
LEADING THE WAY - paced roughly in the home straight. Driver J Morrison was warned to change his whip action.

MONKEY LUCK - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Broke passing the 200 metres.
SHEZA TRENDY MONARCH - broke after 100 metres.
INSIGNIFICANT - raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up on the final bend.
ROSIE EXPRESS - gave ground from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 9 FAT SALLY'S PUB & RESTAURANT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ALSA LUSTRE - hung outwards in the early stages and paced roughly hampering SPIRIT OF CHRONOS and THE PERSUADER. Gave ground on the final bend.
SPIRIT OF CHRONOS - hampered at the start.
THE PERSUADER - hampered at the start. Held up in the home straight.
PAY ME ART - over-raced passing the 1300 metres. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule passing the 1150 metres when PAY ME ART raced four wide for a brief period. After viewing the replays it was established that AQUICKONE (B Orange) had shifted outwards prior to PAY ME ART reaching its sulky wheel. Accordingly no further action was taken.
JETSDREAM - held up in the early stages of the run home.
